    The article discusses the complexity of identity, the interdependence of social and cultural identity, and their relationship with museum education. The Author emphasizes that an individual’s identity is shaped both by their membership in a social group and the internalization of its cultural values. With respect to museums, institutional employment contributes to identity formation, while cultural identity stems from museum narratives. The Author analyzes individual identity as a manifestation of cognitive conservatism influenced by neurophysiological mechanisms. The Author argues that museum education can play a significant role in transforming individual identity, especially by exposing individuals to diverse perspectives and values. The research indicating the potential for lasting changes in preferences as a result of educational activities is cited. The Author highlights the importance of social bonds formed within the museum, and suggests expanding the perspective of relational art to include the experiences of museum education. Furthermore, it is also emphasized that museum education initiatives should not be viewed as tools for analyzing the museum institution but as opportunities for participants to express themselves and build connections with one another.

    Artykuł porusza kwestię codzienności jako potencjalnej materii pracy dla animatora kultury. Jego celem jest zwrócenie uwagi na doniosłą rolę, jaką codzienność może stanowić w pracy animacyjnej. Za punkt widzenia w niniejszych rozważaniach autorka przyjmuje animację kultury w perspektywie antropologicznej, która nastawiona jest przede wszystkim na pozytywną identyfikację uczestników animacyjnych działań z własnym sposobem życia. Artykuł będący teoretycznym rozwinięciem spostrzeżeń autorki, opartych na wieloletnich badaniach pracy animacyjnej, przekonuje do rozpoznania codzienności jako istotnej wartości w życiu i uczynienia z niej materii samorozwoju dorosłego człowieka oraz poprawy relacji z innymi członkami społeczeństwa.
    The articles brings up a question about everyday life as a potential matter of work for cultural animator. Its purpose is to take note of the significant role that everyday life may play in the work related to animation. As a standpoint in present reflections, the author takes on cultural animation in an anthropological perspective, the latter being oriented above all to positive identification of the participants of animation activities with her own lifestyle. The article with its theoretical unfolding of the author’s perceptions based on many years of cultural animation research, convinces us to recognize everyday life as a vital value in life and to make everyday life a matter of self-development of an adult as well as betterment of the relation with other members of the society.

    This article analyses the films, installations, performances and film projects of British artist, Tony Morgan, who is associated with Fluxus. Focusing on the years 1969–1971, we show the process of dematerialization and rematerialization inherent in his films – a distinctive feature of a cinematographic turning point in conceptual and postconceptual art. We discuss his film gallery, Produkt Cinema, an exceptional venue for producing and exhibiting films created exclusively for this specific location. We finally argue that, through the introduction of performative elements, his installations, generically entitled Structural Films, disrupt the minimalist ethos of ‘structural film’ (a term coined by P. Adams Sitney).

    W artykule Autorka omawia zagadnienie sztuki zaangażowanej, która zyskuje coraz mocniejszą pozycję we współczesnej kulturze. Artyści zaangażowani, podobnie jak ruchy awangardowe, swe ideowe podstawy czerpie z myśli lewicowej. Jako taka stanowi ważny element lewicowej polityki. Dzieje się tak, ponieważ głównie środowiska lewicowe podkreślają pozytywną wartość tych praktyk, dążąc do zminimalizowania negatywnych skojarzeń powstałych wokół związku sztuki i polityki. Celem artystów zaangażowanych jest przekształcanie otaczającego świata zgodnie z ich takimi ideami, jak poprawa warunków społecznych czy kształtowanie świadomości społecznej. Znaczenie sztuki dla polityki podkreśla m.in. francuska filozofka o orientacji postmarksistowskiej Chantal Mouffe. Jej zdaniem działania artystyczne zawsze w pewnym stopniu mają znaczenie polityczne. W teoriach estetycznych również usiłuje się obronić tezę, że między sztuką a polityką istnieje trwała relacja, przykładem jest np. koncepcja estetyki relacyjnej Nicolasa Bourriauda lub Jacques’a Rancière’a koncepcja estetyki jako polityki.
    In this paper the Author presents the matter of ‘engaged art’ which is being appreciated in contemporary culture. ‘Engaged artists,’ similar to avant-garde movement, are rooted in leftist ideology. This art is an important element of leftist politics. Leftist groups stress the positive value of that art by underplaying negative associations of art and politics. The ‘engaged artists’ purpose is to change the world according to their ideas like improvement of social conditions and creating the social awareness. The importance of art to politics is emphasised by post-Marxist philosopher Chantal Mouffe. In her theory, artistic activity always has a political meaning. On the other hand, in aesthetics theories like Nicolas Bourriaud’s relational aesthetics or Jacques Rancière’s conception of aesthetics as politics, a kind of permanent relation between art and politics is maintained.

    Opis:
    The authors of the principal concepts that combine art with participatory issues use the term "aesthetics" to refer to their theories. The aim of the article is to examine the aspects in which these authors refer to the traditional issues of aesthetics and how they modify them. The discussion focuses on three concepts. In Nicolas Bourriaud's relational aesthetics, the notion of "form", modified in such a way as to include human relations appearing in connection with artistic situations, plays an important role. This way viewers and their behavior become part of the works of art. In the article this issue is confronted with the theory of the Umberto Eco's concept of "open work". Selected works by Rirkrit Tiravanija, Felix Gonazalez-Torres and Liam Gillick are also discussed as examples of relational art. Grant Kester's dialogical aesthetics is presented as an example of the link between art and participation, in which experience is brought to the foreground and ethical values dominate. Claire Bishop, on the other hand, believes that participatory art makes far-reaching changes in the understanding of aesthetics necessary. Referring to Jacques Rancière's philosophical concept, she argues that the inconclusive nature of aesthetic experience entails the necessity of questioning the way in which the world is organized. Therefore, the “sensible sharing” that takes place in participatory art is at the same time a political judgment. Moreover, the English author places emphasis not the harmonization of interpersonal relations (presumed in relational aesthetics), but the antagonism that allows us to constantly redefine and make social problems the subject of debates. The article concludes with a question whether relational, dialogical and participatory aesthetics opens up a new field for aesthetic reflection built over artistic phenomena.
    Autorzy głównych koncepcji łączących sztukę z problematyką partycypacji używają w odniesieniu do swych teorii nazwy „estetyka”. Celem artykułu jest rozważenie, pod jakimi względami autorzy ci nawiązują do tradycyjnej problematyki estetycznej oraz jakim modyfikacjom ją poddają. Rozważania skoncentrowane są na trzech koncepcjach. W estetyce relacyjnej Nicolasa Bourriauda istotną rolę pełni pojęcie „formy” zmodyfikowane w taki sposób, żeby objąć nim stosunki międzyludzkie pojawiające się w związku z sytuacjami artystycznymi. W ten sposób odbiorcy i ich zachowania stają się częścią dzieł sztuki. W artykule zagadnienie to skonfrontowane jest z teorią „dzieła otwartego” Umberta Eco. Omówione są też, jako przykłady sztuki relacyjnej, wybrane dokonania Rirkrita Tiravanji, Felixa Gonazaleza-Torresa i Liama Gillicka. Estetyka dialogiczna Granta Kestera przedstawiona została jako przykład powiązania sztuki z partycypacją, w którym na pierwszy plan wysuwane jest doświadczenie i dominują wartości etyczne. Natomiast Claire Bishop uważa, że sztuka partycypacyjna prowadzi do konieczności daleko idących zmian w pojmowaniu estetyki. Nawiązując do koncepcji filozoficznej Jacquesa Rancièra twierdzi, że nierozstrzygalność doświadczenia estetycznego pociąga za sobą konieczność zakwestionowania sposobu zorganizowania świata. W związku z tym następujące w sztuce partycypacyjnej „dzielenie postrzegalnego” jest jednocześnie osądem politycznym. Angielska autorka akcentuje też nie harmonizację relacji międzyludzkich (zakładaną w estetyce relacyjnej), a antagonizm pozwalający wciąż na nowo zarysowywać i czynić przedmiotem debat problemy społeczne. Artykuł zamyka pytanie o to, czy estetyka relacyjna, dialogiczna i partycypacyjna otwiera nowe pole dla uprawiania refleksji estetycznej nadbudowywanej nad zjawiskami artystycznymi.
