    Let \(X=(X,+)\) be an arbitrary topological group. The aim of the paper is to prove a regularity theorem for K-subquadratic set-valued functions, that is, solutions of the inclusion $$ 2F(s)+2F(t)\subset F(s+t)+F(s-t)+K, \quad s,t\in X, $$ with values in a topological vector space and where \(K\) is a cone in this space.

    Considering jets, or functions, belonging to some strongly non-quasianalytic Carleman class on compact subsets of $ℝ^n$, we extend them to the whole space with a loss of Carleman regularity. This loss is related to geometric conditions refining Łojasiewicz's "regular separation" or Whitney's "property (P)".

    Opis:
    In this survey we analyze the possibility of obtaining information on regularity and irregularity properties of the value functions of some optimal control problems from their more precise description as marginal functions of finite-dimensional type, in terms of certain "generalized characteristic flows" which, in turn, may be constructed using either necessary optimality conditions (PMP-Pontryagin's Minimum Principle), whenever applicable, or suitable extensions of Cauchy's Method of Characteristics for the associated Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equation. This type of representation, which may be justified either by the application of PMP "combined" with existence theorems or by the application of a suitable verification theorem of Dynamic Programming type, not only facilitates numerical computation of the value function but also may allow identification of its discontinuity points, non-differentiability points, propagation of singularities, etc. ; this approach is illustrated with three significant examples from classical Calculus of Variations.

    W bogatej literaturze z teorii magistral zazwyczaj zakłada się, że wzorcowa ścieżka – zwana magistralą – do której w długich okresach czasu zbieżne są wszystkie optymalne procesy wzrostu, jest określona jednoznacznie. W modelu Gale’a (w wersji stacjonarnej) jej obrazem geometrycznym jest półprosta w przestrzeni stanów gospodarki, zwana promieniem von Neumanna. W artykule uchylamy założenie jednoznaczności magistrali (promienia von Neumanna) i badamy zachowanie stacjonarnej gospodarki typu Gale’a ze zwartą wiązką magistral, którą umownie nazywamy magistralą wielopasmową. Prezentujemy dowód kilku wariantów „słabego” twierdzenia o wielopasmowej magistrali w stacjonarnej gospodarce Gale’a.
    In the vast literature on turnpike theory it is generally assumed that the model path – called the turnpike – to which in a long time period all the optimal processes are convergent, is uniquely determined. Its geometric image in the Gale’s model (in its stationary version) is a ray in the space of all states of the economy. We call it von Neumann’s ray. In this paper we evade the assumption of the uniqueness of this turnpike (von Neumann’s ray) and study the behaviour of the stationary Gale’s economy with the compact turnpikes’ bundle. We call it multilane turnpike. We present proofs for several variants of the “weak” multilane turnpike theorem in the stationary Gales’ economy.
