    Opis:
    The properties of the classical kernel estimator of density function deteriorate when the support of density function is bounded. The use of classical form of kernel estimator causes the increase of the bias estimator, particularly in the so-called boundary region, close to end of support. It can also lead to undesirable situation where density function estimator has a different support than the density function. The paper presents selected bias reduction procedures, such as reflection method and its modification. An example is presented with an attempt to compare considered procedures.

    Opis:
    Artykuł ma charakter metodologiczny. Celem pracy jest ukazanie możliwości wykorzystania jednego z etapów metody refleksji strategicznej do oceny wartości danego terytorium w aspekcie zaspokojenia potrzeb różnych jego użytkowników. Ukazano konieczne modyfikacje realizacji wspomnianego etapu, aby móc go wykorzystać do realizacji wskazanego celu. Dla egzemplifikacji technicznej strony stosowania metody, przytoczono wyniki własnych badań w układzie: zasoby powiatu tarnobrzeskiego – oczekiwania użytkowników. Interpretując uzyskane wyniki, ukazano dużą wartość pozyskanych tą drogą informacji, przydatnych włodarzom danego terytorium w procesie decyzyjnym, mającym wzmocnić wartość terytorium.
    This is a methodical article. The aim of this study is to show the possibilities of using one of the stages of strategic reflection method as an overall assessment of the territory value in the aspect of satisfying the needs revealed by different entities that wish to benefit from the territory utilities. There are shown the necessary modifications to the implementation of this phase of the strategic reflection method, to be able to use it to achieve the stated objective. For exemplification of the technical side of this method, a constituent result of their research was presented evaluating the potential of the county of Tarnobrzeg, for different target markets, with a particular emphasis on tourists. In the discussion of results, the author showed high value of the data derived from the application of this method. Data are useful for the authorities of the territory in their decision making that should reinforce the value of the area.
    Статья имеет методологический характер. Ее цель – указать возможности использования одного из этапов метода стратегической рефлексии для оценки ценности данной территории в аспекте удовлетворения потребностей разных ее пользователей. Указали необходимые видоизменения осуществления упомянутого этапа, чтобы использовать его для достижения указанной цели. Для экземплификации технической стороны применения метода привели резуль- таты собственных обследований по схеме: ресурсы Тарнобжегского повята – ожидания пользователей. Интерпретируя полученные результаты, указали большую ценность полученной таким образом информации, пригодной для администрации данной территории в процессе принятия решений, что должно повысить ценность территории.

    Celem publikacji jest próba pokazania, że cechy i własności metody refleksji strategicznej (a ściślej trzeciego etapu) pozwalają ocenić wartość posiadanych przez przedsiębiorstwo zasobów w aspekcie możliwości realizacji zasad CSR, a także na ile realizacja zasad CSR sprzyja umocnieniu (osłabieniu) elementów potencjału przedsiębiorstwa. Nowością jest autorska modyfikacja realizacji trzeciego etapu metody i ukazanie możliwości jej wykorzystania do oceny realizacji przez przedsiębiorstwo zasad CSR. Przytoczony został przykład analizy dla rzeczywistego przedsiębiorstwa, pokazujący stronę techniczną stosowania metody i sposób interpretacji uzyskanych wyników.
    The purpose of publication is test of showing, that features and ownership of method of strategic reflections allow to evaluate enterprise of stock in aspect of capability of realization of principle CSR, as well, as realization of principle CSR promotes fortification of element of potential of enterprise. A novelty is the author's modification of the implementation of this method's third stage and showing its modification possibilities for the use in assessment of enterprise's implementation of the CSR principles. Example has been presented, technical part of application of method of strategic reflection and manner of interpretation of gotten result.

    Myślenie krytyczne stanowi niezbędną kompetencję w procesach poznawczych, podejmowaniu decyzji i działaniach menedżerów. Jego znaczenie szybko rośnie, zaś relatywnie łatwy dostęp do informacji o różnej jakości i znaczeniu pod względem ich ewentualnych implikacji może prowadzić do paraliżu decyzyjnego, dysonansu poznawczego lub skutkować większą podatnością na manipulację. Artykuł omawia istotne aspekty myślenia krytycznego oraz możliwości rozwijania i doskonalenia myślenia krytycznego w przygotowaniu studentów do bycia dobrymi liderami w przyszłości.

    The use of a cylindrical high-explosive charge with a wave-shaper is an efficient way to obtain an ultra-high pressure and a convergent detonation wave. An analysis of flow fields corresponding to the regular and Mach reflection of detonation waves in a cylindrical high-explosive charge with a wave-shaper is presented in this paper. The pressure, flow velocity and triple point growth angle of the Mach stem were calculated. The Mach stem height was also determined by using the modified Whitham method. The results show that the Mach stem height rises from zero at the critical angle of Mach reflection and changes to the Chapman-Jouguet detonation state with the propagation of the detonation waves. Shock indentation experiments were conducted, in which a wave-shaper was used in a cylindrical high-explosive charge to form Mach reflection detonation waves. The results showed that the discrepancy between the experimental results and the theoretical calculations was less than 15%, which proves the validity of the proposed theoretical model.

    The article presents the approach to the design process of acoustic panels based on the scientific research. This approach is based on combining the technical and the design competences to develop the innovative product value for the concept of acoustic panels. The article presents the concepts of two new acoustic panels – an absorbing and scattering panel and a panel reflecting sound waves. The first part of the article presents the starting point for the presented project – the acoustic research and the inspiration for both types of presented solutions. Next, the materials possible to use were discussed, which could reproduce the natural acoustic properties of the lava and glacier caves. The next part presents consecutive stages of the product development in a modern form, ensuring the expected acoustic properties. The last part of the article presents a fully functional solution and proposes further research and development directions.

    Głównym celem artykułu było zaprezentowanie wiedzy teoretycznej na temat specyficznego spotkania, jakim jest udział badacza i badanego w badaniach z wykorzystaniem metody biograficznej. Zagadnienie to wydaje się być o tyle ważkie, albowiem posługiwanie się tą metodą narzuca specyficzny charakter zbierania oraz interpretowania danych, ale nade wszystko wyznacza specyficzny charakter relacji, jakie zachodzą pomiędzy bezpośrednimi uczestnikami tego procesu, to znaczy badacza i badanego. W tekście starano się odpowiedzieć na pytania dotyczące tego: Czym jest udział w badaniu dla badacza a czym dla badanego? Na czym polega specyficzność podejścia biograficznego? Na czym polega istota podejścia biograficznego w spotkaniu z drugim, Innym? Jak funkcjonuje badacz i badany w zmieniającej się przestrzeni społecznej? Poszukując odpowiedzi na tak postawione pytania odwołano się do refleksji teoretycznej – zawartej głównie w pracach Clifforda Geertza – w ramach antropologii interpretacyjnej skupionej na znaczeniach, jakie ludzie sami nadają swoim działaniom.
    The main aim of the article is to provide theoretical insight into the specific meeting between the researcher and the researched person in studies using thebiographical method. This issueseems tobeall the moreimportant because the use of this method imposes a special character of data collection and interpretation. But above all, it determines the specific character of relations that take place between the direct participants of this process, i.e. the researcher and the researched person. The author attempts to answer the following questions: What does participation in the study mean for the researcher and what is it for the research participant? What is the specificity of the biographical approach? What is the essence of the biographical approach in the meeting with another person, the Other? How does the researcher and the researched person act in the changing social space? To answer these questions, the author refers to theoretical reflection, contained mainly in the works of Clifford Geertz, within the framework of interpretative anthropology focused on the meanings that people give to their own actions.
