    Opis:
    Chamaecytisus albus (Hacq.) Rothm. is an extremely rare species, which is inserted in many European red lists and red books. Its continuous range covers the south-eastern part of Europe. That species grows in intensely insolated and calcareous habitats of xerothermic grasslands. Only one station of White Broom had been known in the valley of the Bug river, near Hrubieszów, but in 2007 a new one was discovered near Jędrzejów. That station is located the farthest in the north and the west in Europe and it is completely detached from the continuous range.

    Opis:
    Saami are the only indigenous people in Europe. Today they live in tundra, taiga and coastal zones in the far north of Europe. Their reach cultural identity is endangered. The Saami are the inhabitants of four countries: Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russian Federation (Kola Peninsula). Preserving the Saami culture and languages is a part of European Union policy. The Saami culture is closely related to the nature so the policy of environment protection is also a part of preserving endangered Saami cultural identity. In the article the author gives examples of regulations and realized projects financed by EU funds that aim for improving living conditions of the Saami living in traditional way.

    Opis:
    Forests perform essential ecological functions - water protection, sanitation, health, recreation, and aesthetics. The research aimed to substantiate the ecological and economic importance of forest resources in the Kyiv region and analyse their rational use and protection. The article shows that the Kyiv region belongs to the regions with an average level of forest cover – 592.8 thousand hectares or 22.2%. The level of forest cover is uneven in the area of the Kyiv Forest zone. It is 44%, and in the area of the Forest-Steppe, it is much lower and decreases from north to south. The use of forest resources in the Kyiv region in 2019 amounted to harvesting liquid wood of 999.5 thousand m2, and deforestation was carried out on 75.5 thousand hectares. The region’s volume of forestry works and services amounted to 8,9 million dollars, and the wood stock makes 90805,9 thousand m2. Emphasis is placed on the importance of protecting the Red Book species of plants and fungi that grow in the forests of the Kyiv region. Examples of harmful economic activity in the areas belonging to the nature reserve fund and large-scale fires in April 2020, which covered more than 3.5 thousand hectares of forests in the region and caused damage to forest fauna and flora. The studied region’s positive environmental and economic factors have been admitted by planting trees on an area of 2151 hectares and sowing seeds of forest species on an area of 67 hectares in 2020.

    The paper presents three new localities of Nasturtium microphyllum reported on the Ilanka River near Rzepin. In one of the localities onerow yellowcress specimens were in the flowering and fruiting stages, while in the two other localities plants were flowering, but they were not bearing fruits. Fruiting specimens were identifi ed on the basis of seed sculpture traits, while flowering plants – by flow cytometry, based on the genome size.

    Semenov’s Fir (Abies semenovii B. Fedtsch.) is an extremely rare species in the wild and is included in the International Red List of Conifers and into the Red Data Books of the former USSR and Kyrgyz Republic. Our investigation confirms that this is an independent species, related but not identical to Abies sibirica Ledeb. It has been cultivated at Peter the Great Botanic Garden of the Komarov Botanical Institute of the Russian Academy of Science(s), St.Petersburg, since 1949. Apparently, it was here that Semenov’s Fir was first introduced into cultivation in European gardens. It has produced seeds since 2000, when it was less than 43 years old. It is a hardy and ornamental tree that deserves wider distribution in cultivation in the gardens and parks of North-West Russia. It is proposed that Semenov’s Fir should be given independent taxonomic status as a separate species, Abies semenovii B. Fedtsch.

    Aconitum bucovinense, a high-mountain species endemic to the Eastern and Southern Carpathians, including the Apuseni Mountains, is legally protected and classified in the Polish Red Data Book of Plants. It attains its NW geographical range in two peripheral populations in the Western Bieszczady Mountains (Polish Eastern Carpathians), isolated by a distance of 13.1 km. PCR-ISSR analysis has been used to elucidate the within- and among-populational levels of species genetic diversity. A UPGMA and block clustering showed discreteness of the populations and subpopulations based on ISSR banding pattern. Analysis of Molecular Variance (AMOVA) revealed significant divergence (P = 0.024) of the two marginal populations and highly significant (P < 0.001) differentiation of subpopulations within populations. The theta index calculated for the two marginal populations and the core population in the Carpathians was 0.131 ±0.030 S.D. Most of the population-genetic diversity indices of the marginal populations were not different from those in the core area but the Shannon’s and rarity indices were lower in the marginal populations. It seems that founder effect and subsequent genetic bottleneck resulted in a fine-scale population genetic structure. The marginal populations under study need a relevant recovery program to maintain their genetic diversity.

    Wyjście Izraelitów z Egiptu było najważniejszym wydarzeniem w historii narodu wybranego. Został opisany kontekst historyczno-teologiczny wydarzeń biblijnych zawartych w Wj 1,1–14,31. Celem badań stała się analiza i interpretacja przesłania teologicznego zawartego w pierwszej części Księgi Wyjścia opowiadającej o wyzwoleniu Izraelitów z niewoli egipskiej (Wj 1,1–14,31). Przy analizie i egzegezie tekstów biblijnych wykorzystano metodę intertekstualną, a także historyczno-krytyczną nad zagadnieniem misji Mojżesza. W wyniku przeprowadzonych badań można stwierdzić, że: 1) poznanie Boga Izraela i Jego zamiarów jest kluczowym tematem pierwszych piętnastu rozdziałów Księgi Wyjścia. Jahwe jest głównym bohaterem wydarzeń opisanych w Księdze Wyjścia. On jest ich sprawcą i autorem; 2) tematem pierwszej części Księgi Wyjścia jest konflikt o to, komu służyć ma Izrael; 3) źródła historyczne nie odzwierciedlają w całości faktów znanych z relacji biblijnej, dlatego że Biblia nie jest kroniką historyczną, lecz zapisem objawienia Bożego. Jej głównym zadaniem jest przekaz treści teologicznej. Wnioski, jakie należy wyciągnąć to: 1) objawienie, które było do Mojżesza, dotyczą także Izraelitów, jak i do Egipcjan. Zmieniają się jednak czasy i sposób objawienia. Słowa Boga skierowane są do wszystkich, również do ludzi współczesnych. Przeprowadzone badania nie wyczerpują tematu misji Mojżesza względem Izraela. Nie jest pełną charakterystyką Mojżesza. Należy przy tym pamiętać o dalszym oddziaływaniu przesłania Księgi Wyjścia na kolejne pokolenia Izraela, a także na czasy współczesne. Badanie mogą stać się przyczynkiem do dalszej refleksji teologicznej nad przesłaniem Księgi Wyjścia.
    The Exodus of the Israelites from Egypt was the most important event in the history of the Chosen People. The historical and theological context of the biblical events contained in Exodus 1:1–14:31 was described. The aim of the research became the analysis and interpretation of the theological message contained in the first part of the Exodus recounting the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery (Exodus 1:1–14:31). In the analysis and exegesis of biblical texts, the intertextual method was used, as well as the historical-critical method over the issue of Moses’ mission. As a result of the study, it can be concluded that: 1) the knowledge of the God of Israel and His intentions is the key theme of the first fifteen chapters of the Exodus. Yahweh is the main protagonist of the events described in the Book of Exodus. He is their author and perpetrator; 2) the theme of the first part of the Exodus is the conflict over whom Israel is to serve; 3) the historical sources do not reflect in their entirety the facts known from the biblical account, for the reason that the Bible is not a historical chronicle, but a record of God’s revelation. Its main task is to convey theological content. The conclusions to be drawn are: 1) the revelation that was to Moses also applies to the Israelites, as well as to the Egyptians. However, the times and the manner of revelation change. God’s words are addressed to everyone, including modern people. The study conducted does not exhaust the subject of Moses’ mission to Israel. It is not a complete characterization of Moses. At the same time, it is necessary to keep in mind the further impact of the message of the Exodus on subsequent generations of Israel, as well as on modern times. The study can become a contribution to further theological reflection on the message of the Exodus.
