Opis:: Lion Feuchtwanger is known mainly as the creator of historical novels and voluminous epic canvases. However, all his thoughts are directed to the future. With a certain reservation, we can say that he tried on the past to the realities of his time. Until his death, he was concerned with the key question: what are the paths, prospects and main driving forces of events distant from the 20th century in visual comparison with those changes in German society, which he directly witnessed. In a narrow sense, these were the writer’s attempts to resolve the “damned issues” concerning his own nation. In broad terms – philosophical reflections on the fate of humanity. Thus, his work objectively went beyond the national framework, enriching itself with universal and deeply humanistic content.

Opis:: Rekonstrukcja trójwymiarowych realistycznych modeli obiektów z obrazów cyfrowych jest od długiego czasu tematem badań w fotogrametrii i widzeniu komputerowym. Uzyskanie w praktyce, realistycznego 3D modelu jest niezmiernie trudne, biorąc pod uwagę dostępne technologie. Operatory detekcji stanowią pierwszy krok w procesie, który ma na celu znalezienie punktów obiektów służących do wzajemnego wpasowania wielu obrazów. W tym celu często korzysta się z podstawowych obiektów geometrycznych takich jak proste czy punkty. Popularnymi metodami wykrywania narożników są operatory Moravec i Harris. Ich zastosowanie powinno zapewnić wykrycie punktów charakterystycznych dla wykrywanych obiektów, jakimi są narożniki. Są to jednak operatory parametryczne i zmiany takich elementów jak rozmiar okna operatora, czy progu należy ustalać indywidualnie dla każdego analizowanego zdjęcia. W referacie przedstawiono metodę, która ma zapewnić dokładniejszą lokalizację wykrywanych punktów poprzez zastosowanie przekształceń oryginalnych obrazów filtrami wykrywającymi krawędzie. Dzięki tej operacji punkty wykrywane są tylko i wyłącznie na krawędziach. Zabieg ten zmniejsza istotność parametrów z jakimi wywoływane są detektory narożników, a więc ułatwia ich dobór. W badaniach zastosowano dwa rodzaje wykrywania krawędzi: ostre i rozmyte. Dla krawędzi ostrej obraz sprowadzany jest do postaci binarnej. Dla krawędzi rozmytej, punkty tworzące krawędź przyjmują różne wartości nasycenia. Wybór algorytmu wpływa w istotny sposób na liczbę i rozmieszczenie wykrytych punktów. Mając do dyspozycji trzy strategie wykrywania punktów, czyli pracę na obrazie oryginalnym, na krawędziach ostrych lub rozmytych, przeprowadzono szereg testów mających wykazać racjonalność zastosowania powyższych strategii dla zdjęć wykonywanych w różnych warunkach oświetleniowych i obiektów o różnych typach faktur.
The reconstruction of realistic 3D models from digital images is one of the main issues of photogrammetry and computer vision. In practice, it is exquisitely hard to generate a realistic model with available technologies. Detection operators are the first step in a measure process, which allows finding points useful for image matching. For this primitives are used such as lines or points. Common corners detection methods are the Moravec and Harris operators. They can be applied to detect characteristic points of objects, such as corners. However, the operators are determined by many parameters such as the threshold or window parameters, that should be adjusted for each image separately. In this paper the method that allows better localization of corners, by using an edge detection, is presented. The method enables detection of corners on the edges, that limits the influence of the corner detector’s parameters. Two forms of edge detection were tested: sharp and soft. In the first case the image is transformed to a binary form. In the second, the edge points assume different intensities. The selection of an algorithm affects in a significant way the number and distribution of the detected corners. All the strategies, i.e. detection on the original image and with soft and sharp detection of the edges were compared for pictures with varied illumination and objects with different types of facture. Experiments that have been done allow development of an automatic feature detection and an image measure, which constitutes the main process that aims at creating procedures for an automatic detection of a cloud of points with high accuracy in multi-image sets used to generate a realistic 3D model of a measured object.
