    Abstract: Th e article concerns employees’ situation on the contemporary labour market. In particular, the essence of changes in work environment and the competences necessary to carry them out were characterized. Subsequently, the attention was focused on the employees’ confusion in the face of technological and organizational changes and on the conditions enabling the understanding of the goals and consequences of these changes. A separate place is devoted to the considerations on the ways of reacting to the changes occurring.
    Streszczenie: Artykuł jest poświęcony sytuacji pracowników na współczesnym rynku pracy. W szczególności scharakteryzowano istotę zmian w środowisku pracy oraz niezbędne do ich przeprowadzenia kompetencje. W dalszej kolejności skoncentrowano uwagę na zagubieniu pracowników w obliczu zmian technologicznych i organizacyjnych oraz na warunkach umożliwiających zrozumienie celów i konsekwencji tych zmian. Osobne miejsce zajmują rozważania na temat sposobów reakcji – zareagowania na występujące zmiany.

    Opis:
    This study performed a numerical investigation of the Soret and Dufour effects on unsteady free convective chemically reacting nanofluid flowing past a vertically moving porous plate in the presence of viscous dissipation and a heat source/sink. The equations direct-ing the flow are non-dimensionalised, modified to ordinary differential equations and emerging equations are resolved computationally by using the bvp4c function in MATLAB software. The results obtained from this analysis indicate that the resulting velocity of the nanofluid increases with increasing Grashof number, mass Grashof number and porosity parameter. An increase in the Dufour number increases the fluid temperature, whereas the concentration profile declines with the increase in the Schmidt number. It is also observed that the skin fric-tion coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number increase with increasing magnetic field parameter, Eckert number and Schmidt number, respectively. The present study reveals the impact of Soret and Dufour effects on heat and mass transfer rates in chemically re-acting and viscous dissipating nanofluids.

    W ciągu ostatnich kilkunastu lat pojęcie responsywności (z ang. responsiveness – reaktywność, reagowanie, wyczulenia) zrobiło imponującą karierę w naukach politycznych. Kategoria ta funkcjonowała początkowo jako jedno z teoretycznych kryteriów poszerzających proceduralne rozumienie demokracji. Dziś stała się ważnym kryterium oceny jakości rządzenia. Na gruncie teorii demokracji odnosi się do zdolności elit politycznych do reagowania na nastroje i oczekiwania społeczne. Na gruncie teorii zarządzania publicznego jej wymowa jest nieco inna: opisuje ona zdolność władz publicznych do szybkiego identyfikowania pojawiających się problemów lub dylematów zarządzania publicznego i reagowania na nie. Ten dualny charakter pojęcia responsywności – zarazem ideologiczny i techniczny – wart jest podkreślenia. Każda z dwóch perspektyw (a jest ich więcej) ujawnia bowiem inny zestaw warunków, jakie musi spełnić administracja, aby zasłużyć na miano responsywnej. W pierwszej z nich warunkiem takim jest stała interakcja pomiędzy systemem administracji publicznej a podmiotami społeczeństwa obywatelskiego. W drugiej – sprawność i elastyczność administracji w stosowaniu instrumentów polityki publicznej, niezależnie od podstawowych założeń wyznaczających granice i naturę władzy publicznej. Niniejszy artykuł koncentruje się na pierwszej z tych perspektyw. Omawia on genezę obecnego osadzenia kategorii responsywności w debacie nad jakością rządzenia, a także wyniki badań nad stanem partnerstwa publiczno-społecznego w Polsce, traktowanego jako jeden z podstawowych warunków responsywnego państwa.
    ver the past dozen years, the notion of responsiveness has made an impressive career in political studies. Initially used as one of theoretic criteria widening the narrow, procedural understanding of democracy, it soon became one of the most important operational criteria for good governance. On the ground of democratic theory, it refers to the ability of political elites to address social demands and moods. On the ground of public management theory, however, its tenor is rather different, stressing the public administration's capacity to identify and react to emerging problems and dilemmas of governance. The dual character of the notion - used both as an ideological and purely technical demand - is worth noting, as each of the two perspectives (and there are more than these two) elicits a different set of conditions that the public administration has to meet to earn the name of "responsive". The first emphasises the interaction between the system of public administration and civil society. The second - on the administration's efficiency and resilience in the use of public policy instruments, regardless of the principles determining the nature and the limits of government. The article concentrates on the first of these perspectives. It presents the genesis of the present meaning of "responsiveness" in the debate on good governance and discusses findings referring to the state of public-social partnership in Poland, treated as one of the fundamental conditions of the responsive state.
