    The paper presents the selected issues concerning the migration between the VHF 150 MHz communication and the GSM-R standard, which will be operated in the Polish railway industry at the same time. The analysis of the RADIOSTOP railway alarm signals in the VHF 150 MHz radio communication network was conducted. The service of the REC emergency call in the GSM-R system was characterised. Then, the technical problems related to the generation of alarm signals in the migration period were described. In addition to the problems associated with the technical aspect of connection of both alarm signals, the issues resulted from their radio range were analysed. Emergency call service REC / e-REC in the GSM-R system, analysis and assessment of the implementation of the emergency call function during the migration period, phases of the REC emergency call, railway emergency call service, generation of the alarm signals during the migration of systems, differences in the range of the GSM-R and VHF 150 MHz systems, implementation of GSM-R on the entire railway line are presented in the paper.

    W artykule omówiono w sposób teoretyczny zagadnienie rozchodzenia się fal radiowych w wolnej przestrzeni propagacyjnej na przykładzie łącza satelitarnego. Warto podkreślić, że tłumienie podstawowe stanowi kluczowy czynnik całkowitego tłumienia propagacyjnego, a umiejętność jego oszacowania jest niezbędna w celu projektowania i optymalizacji satelitarnych łączy teleinformatycznych. Autor korzystając z zapisu matematycznego przeanalizował wpływ podstawowych czynników warunkujących straty sygnału, ukazując prawidłowości dotyczące tłumienia dla różnych systemów satelitarnych.
    The paper discussed the theoretical problem of propagation of radio waves on free-space communication for a satellite link. A free space attenuation is an important component of a total signal attenuation and the process of ability estimation is essential to the design and optimization of satellite communication links. The Author has used mathematical formulae to present the impact of fundamental factors on the signal loss and various regularities of signal attenuation for satellite systems.

    Opis:
    Given a graph G and a vertex coloring c, G is called l-radio connected if between any two distinct vertices u and v there is a path such that coloring c restricted to that path is an l-radio coloring. The smallest number of colors needed to make G l-radio connected is called the l-radio connection number of G. In this paper we introduce these notions and initiate the study of connectivity through radio colored paths, providing results on the 2-radio connection number, also called L(2, 1)-connection number: lower and upper bounds, existence problems, exact values for known classes of graphs and graph operations.
