Opis:
Offshore wind farms can improve safety at sea because they are clearly visible landmarks at sea. Although they limit the sea area available to sailors and ships, they will increase the scope of observation of the sea traffic from land, constitute additional landmarks and, thanks to the installation of additional devices in their waters, expand the area of communication between ships and land services, and increase the scope of information on sea traffic available to the services. They also practically do not limit the possibility of observation through the farm's reservoir.

In the sea areas with heavy traffic, there is a great danger of collision or grounding. In order to improve maritime safety at the gulf of Gdańsk in the middle of 90s, a vessel traffic services was installed. The VTS system operators can provide navigational assistance, if the parameters of the ships movement endanger the safety of navigation. For proper functioning of the system there is a network of coastal radars stations whose signal is used to create a radar picture of the navigational situation. In the vts determination of the ship position based on radar observations may lead to large errors. The IMO organization recommends to reject and repeat measurements containing large errors. For a moving ship perform a re-measurement in the same position is not possible. This paper presents possibility of compensation the coordinates of the vessel position based on radar observations using the of M-estimation methods.

Data from MERIS onboard Envisat and MODIS onboard Terra and Aqua for 15–16 May 2010 were used to study powerful imprints of atmospheric gravity waves (AGWs) on the western part the Black Sea surface. Two cold fronts crossed the sea following the warm front and caused the AGWs which modulated the sea surface. Imprints of AGWs appeared as stripes of alternating brightness, they had crest length more than a hundred kilometers and wavelength of units of kilometers. Wave amplitude of AGWs imprints, evaluated by a 90%-depth of light penetration into the sea at 490 nm z90, the value inverse to the diffuse attenuation coefficient Kd_490, was units of decimeterxs. MODIS 250-m data of remote sensing reflectance, wind components and atmospheric pressure near the sea surface were obtained by processing the top of atmosphere data with the SeaDAS software package. Negative correlations of fluctuations of z90 with fluctuations of wind stress and atmospheric pressure were found on the transects of more than ten kilometers. The impact of wind stress on the origination of AGW imprints was found to be determinant, while the impact of atmospheric pressure was not more than units of percent.

Opis:
In this paper were verify the possibilities of use the ground penetrating radar method to defining the range of depression cone during pumping test the first free aquifer. On the experimental area there were: pumping well with observation weels, geotechnical weels and cone penetration tests. This made possible the credible interpretation of the results with GPR investigations. GPR measurements were executed before pumping and after stabilizing the depression. On the echograms there were clearly appeared the free aquifer before and during of the pumping. On the basis of geophisical investigations it was successful to interpret the position of free aquifer and the range of depression cone.
