Opis:: Objectives. To compare the level of secondary traumatic stress disorder symptoms, demographic (age) and work- -related variables (years of experience, average number of trauma patients over the past 12 months, and clinical supervision) in a sample of trauma therapists and psychiatrists working with trauma victims. Method. The study included 160 participants, 80 therapists and 80 psychiatrists, who worked with trauma victims. Participants filled out the PTSD Questionnaire: Factorial Version to assess the level of secondary traumatic stress disorder symptoms and the Berlin Social Support Scales to measure social support. They also provided demographic and work-related information. Results: The results of our study revealed higher rates of secondary traumatic stress disorder (STSD) symptoms among psychiatrists compared to therapists. We also noticed significant differences with respect to age, years of experience and actually received support between therapists and psychiatrists. Conclusions: Mental health specialists should be aware of the potentially negative impact of working with trauma victims in the form of secondary traumatic stress disorder symptoms

Opis:: The relevance of the investigated problem lies in the need to provide primary psychological assistance to military personnel and other victims of the Russo-Ukrainian war at its current stage, because psychological problems are occurring in an increasing number of people, in particular in the territory of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia. The purpose of the article is to determine the specifics and stages of providing psychological assistance, as well as consultations to victims of the war, primarily to the populations of Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia, which are located within the war zone. In the course of the research, a set of methods was used, namely analytical, graphic and synthesis methods. The main results of the conducted research should be considered the established features of providing assistance to the affected part of the population, which was at the epicentre of combat events in the Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts, as well as specific actions that prevent the deterioration of a person’s psychological state during the war. Identified were the factors needed to provide psychological assistance for thevarious population specifics, taking into account aspecvts such as gender, age, as well as the person’s degree of psychological deterioration. The practical significance of the results of this academic paper lies in the development of an algorithm of actions for providing psychological assistance to Ukrainians during the state of war in the country, as well as conducting the necessary actions and consultations to improve the psychological state of the population affected by the war from specific cities. The results of the study can be used as an example to provide consultations and conduct to the population of other regions of Ukraine and beyond in real time. In addition, the results can be a helpful tool for establishing recommendations for improving mental health in conditions of war.

Opis:: Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wybranych aspektów etycznych psychoterapii. W chwili obecnej w Polsce nie istnieją ustawowe regulacje wykonywania zawodu psychoterapeuty, a zasady obowiązujące w psychoterapii wynikają z innych ustaw oraz kodeksów etycznych poszczególnych towarzystw psychoterapeutycznych. Mimo pewnych różnic wynikających z założeń konkretnych szkół terapeutycznych wśród psychoterapeutów panuje zgoda co do podstawowych założeń etycznych psychoterapii. Obejmują one troskę terapeuty o dobro klienta, poszanowanie jego podmiotowości i autonomii, obowiązek stałego doskonalenia zawodowego psychoterapeuty oraz przestrzeganie zasady poufności. Artykuł poświęcono wymienionym zagadnieniom, należy jednak podkreślić, że nie wyczerpuje on poruszanego tematu, a jedynie sygnalizuje pewne jego aspekty, na podstawie aktualnych przepisów regulujących pracę psychologów oraz wybrane opracowania.
The aim of the article is to present the chosen ethical aspects of psychotherapy. In the present moment in Poland there are no statutory regulations regarding the profession of psychotherapists, and the rules present in psychotherapy result from other regulations and ethical codes of certain psychotherapy associations. Despite several differences resulting from the assumptions of given psychotherapy schools, among psychotherapists there is a consensus regarding basic ethical rules in psychotherapy. They consider a care of clients’ wellbeing, respect of their subjectivity and autonomy, an obligation of an ongoing professional development of psychotherapists and keeping of professional secrecy. The article is devoted to the above issues, it should be noted, however, that it does not fully elaborate on a given topic, it merely signals some of its aspects basing on the current regulations which refer to psychologists practice and chosen essays.
