- Th e Young Generation of the East Borderland in the Years 2007–2011Th e article presents the results of survey research of the east borderland youth. Collectedobservations indicate that examined high school graduates have the access tothe modern technology. Each year it increases the range of “connected” to Internet.Th e vast majority of the youth aft er the abitur intend to continue the education onany academies. Most oft en the high school graduates want to graduate studies atthe university. Th ey most frequently chose the study at the University of Rzeszów,at the Rzeszów University of Technology, at the Jagiellonian University and at theAGH University of Science and Technology. Aft er high education they would mostwillingly work in a government-operated factory. Th e expected the average minimumwage is about 2000 zloty netto, the maximum wage is over 3000 zloty. Only1/3 of interviewee youth is going to stay at the borderland, the most of them intendto move to big city, because it is easier there to get a job and career. Th e youth ofborderland has got high aspiration and is optimistic, believe in realization of theiraims and life desires.
