Opis:: At the basis of the distinguished narrative regarding identity as a task there is the emancipatory interest, distinguished by J. Habermas, constitutive for cognition. Referring to the results of the study on the psychosocial condition of the youth, the author formulates a hypothesis which claims that in the case of the studied group, we are dealing with a generation of potential frustrates (or the deficitof existential rebellion).

Opis:: Th e Young Generation of the East Borderland in the Years 2007–2011Th e article presents the results of survey research of the east borderland youth. Collectedobservations indicate that examined high school graduates have the access tothe modern technology. Each year it increases the range of “connected” to Internet.Th e vast majority of the youth aft er the abitur intend to continue the education onany academies. Most oft en the high school graduates want to graduate studies atthe university. Th ey most frequently chose the study at the University of Rzeszów,at the Rzeszów University of Technology, at the Jagiellonian University and at theAGH University of Science and Technology. Aft er high education they would mostwillingly work in a government-operated factory. Th e expected the average minimumwage is about 2000 zloty netto, the maximum wage is over 3000 zloty. Only1/3 of interviewee youth is going to stay at the borderland, the most of them intendto move to big city, because it is easier there to get a job and career. Th e youth ofborderland has got high aspiration and is optimistic, believe in realization of theiraims and life desires.

Opis:: Chronic condition may, in time, become a specific kind of „stigma” that determines the formation of a specific “conveyor belt” which determines the trajectories of the fate of children and adolescents. Analysing the functioning of children and adolescents with a chronic condition, for which the school should provide (as for other students) the conditions of learning, both in the cognitive and in the directional aspects, one may indicate not only the imperfections of educational activities, but also a myth of noble ideas inscribed in the function of school, as a place of universal development of every student. The article is a proposal of employing, within the process of educating children and adolescents with a chronic condition, an eclectic model of activities, based on their complexity and sequentiality. The model refers to models proposed by Frederick C. Thorne, or Richard James, used in situations of crisis intervention: the equilibrium model, the cognitive model, and the social change model.
