    В статье рассматривается феномен сновидений в художественном тексте, в творчестве писателя-психоаналитика Федора Михайловича Достоевского, который относится к авторам Золотого века русской литературы и считается одним из самых важных представителей русской и мировой литературы. Сны сопровождают человека с древнейших времен, поэтому очень интересно наблюдать за их значением не только в психологической, но и в литературоведческой интерпретациях. В художественном тексте можно заметить символику и значение сновидений, а также проанализировать распространенность сновидений в определенном тексте. В романе Преступление и наказание (1866) изображено конкретно пять снов. Первые два сна приснились главному герою романа незадолго до совершения преступления, следующие два сна – после совершения преступления, а последний сон – во время принудительных работ в Сибири. Для анализа был избран второй сон, анализ которого опирается на теоретическую базу символики сновидений (в психологии), в частности на теории швейцарского психолога и психиатра К.Г. Юнга (архетипальные образы) и американского психолога Дж. Хиллмана (мифологические образы). Путем анализа избранного произведения статья интерпретирует возможную психологическую символику сна Родиона Раскольникова, замечает его смысл и старается эксплицитно и имплицитно показать символику данного сна. Цель статьи – исследовать (психологическое) значение снов как подсознательного конструкта литературного персонажа.
    The article analyses the phenomenon of dreams in literary texts, specifically in the works of Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, a master of depicting human psychology. Dostoevsky belongs to the authors of the Golden Age of Russian literature and is considered one of the most important representatives of Russian and world literature. Dreams have accompanied humans since ancient times, making it intriguing to explore their significance not only from a psychological perspective but also within the realm of literary interpretations. Through literary texts, we can grasp the symbolism and meaning of dreams and analyze their prevalence in each context. In the novel Crime and Punishment (1866), there are five distinct dreams. The first two dreams are dreamt by the novel’s protagonist shortly before committing the crime, the next two dreams occur after the crime, and the last dream takes place during his forced labour in Siberia. For this analysis, the second dream was chosen, and the interpretation is based on the theoretical foundations of dream symbolism, especially drawing from the theories of Swiss psychologist and psychiatrist C.G. Jung (archetypal images) and American psychologist J. Hillman (mythological images). Through this analysis, the article aims to interpret the possible psychological symbolism of Rodion Raskolnikov’s dream, discern its meaning, and explicitly and implicitly identify the dream’s symbols. The goal of the article is to explore the (psychological) significance of dreams as a subconscious construct of a literary character.

    The paper ostensibly refers to Harold Bloom’s categories of the anxiety of influence. Bloom’s theory is treated as an immanentist one, i.e. text/aesthetics/personality-oriented, which is specific to the period in which the theory was developed. However, at least from the 80s of the XXth century, there occurs a visible change towards sociologization of all the human sciences. The paper appropriates and resignificates Bloom’s categories and intermingles them with the concepts of social psychology in order to enable a description of the condition of writers in the current social context

    Artykuł omawia koncepcję psychologii literatury Lwa Wygotskiego na tle innych sposobów rozumienia pojęcia. Na podstawie rekonstrukcji reaktologicznego rozumienia tekstu jako bodźca, zestawione ze sobą zostają różne zastosowania kategorii „strategii” w polskich badaniach literackich oraz w krytyce. Dzięki temu możliwe staje się odzyskanie pojęcia psychologii literatury i odcięcie go od niego niekorzystnych skojarzeń: panpsychologizmu, biografizmu albo pretendowania interpretatorów do miana diagnosty – czy to wobec bohaterów literackich, czy twórców.
    The author discusses the concept of Lev Vygotsky’s psychology of literature against the background of various interpretations of the term. Through reconstructing a reactological understanding of the text as a stimulus, she juxtaposes different applications of the category of “strategy” in Polish literary studies and criticism. This makes it possible to reclaim the concept of the psychology of literature and discard the unfavourable connotations with panpsychologism, biographism or interpreters’ pretense for being diagnosticians of literary characters or authors.

    The article provides a commentary of the monograph Rabka w literaturze, literaci w Rabce (Rabka 2018) edited on Zofia Budrewicz and Jan Ceklarz mainly in the context of anthropology of place and local microhistory. The author seeks to organize the geopoetic studies concerning Rabka, including affects, locality and material dimension of the place. She also points to the duality of the resort town of Rabka-Zdrój, seeing it as the space for intercultural encounters.     Opis:
    Psychology of music, a science of the relations between humans and sound structures, is continuously developing. Given the growing number of publications in this domain, reviews of the literature are of value, as they integrate knowledge, informing and guiding future research endeavors. This article presents the results of a 47-year (1973–2019) content analysis of research on creating, practicing, and responding to music featured in The Psychology of Music journal. The purpose of our study was to identify and describe the themes in research on creating, practicing, and responding to music, indicating which study topics were the most often present in publications. We identified 17 categories of research topics and found that the largest number of publications dealt with predictors of music creating, self-regulated practice, or affective responses to music. Suggestions for developing and bolstering research and practice are provided.

    The article’s aim is to present Bolesław Prus’s [Aleksander Głowacki’s] early literary endavours in the light of the reception of Hippolite Taine’s psychological studies at the turn of the sixties and seventies of the nineteenth century. The Author challenges the common conviction of the fact that Taine’s work has not been a strong point of reference for Prus before 1880 and shows how the strategies of gaining knowledge described by the French philosopher are reflected in the structure and peculiar fragments of Prus’s Warsaw sketches. The syncretism of those literary pieces, that join Prus’s column writing style with journalistic interventionism on the one hand and romantic musings of the literary wanderer, a figure at the core of the stories, on the other allows to show writer’s indecisiveness as a sign of positivistic doubt in approachableness of the nature of reality and of every singular experience.

    Celem podjętych w tekście rozważań jest ukazanie, jak szerokie spektrum oddziaływań ma arteterapia oraz kubizm – rozumiany zarówno jako metoda twórcza, jak i estetyka. W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia definicyjne z zakresu arteterapii. Wyszczególnione zostały również techniki występujące w obszarze arteterapii. Wskazano funkcje, jakie pełni ona w aspekcie oddziaływań terapeutycznych oraz w obszarze edukacji podejmowanej przez całe życie. Przedmiotem rozważań są także zagadnienia z zakresu arteterapii w aspekcie (samo)edukacyjnym, obszary jej zastosowania wśród seniorów oraz przegląd wybranych pozycji literaturowych, przydatnych w działalności arteterapeutycznej. Proponowana hipoteza to wskazanie, że perspektywa kubistyczna, ujawniająca się w przywołanych utworach literackich, może okazać się rodzajem przygotowania do przemijania i radzenia sobie z samotnością.
    The interest of the present article aims at showing the relevance of the use of art therapy across a broad spectrum of influence it exerts upon the general population. The article explains main defi nitions used in art therapy, while individual techniques used in art therapy that can be pursued for their potential therapeutic applications are presented and discussed. Functions of art therapy with regard to therapeutic influence and life-long education are identifi ed and evaluated. Further,the author discusses a number of issues related to art therapy within the aspect of (self-) education. The areas of its applications with the social group of senior citizens are presented. The article is complemented with a review of literature that may be applicable to and useful in art therapy. The hypothesis proposed in the article involves the basic assumption that cubist perspective, revealing itself in the literary works mentioned in the article, may turn out to be a kind of a preparation for contemplating death and passing away and a good introduction of how to tackle loneliness.

    Niewielu historyków literatury pisało o Jędzy (1891) Elizy Orzeszkowej. Poza kilkoma recenzjami trudno znaleźć opracowania czy nawet odwołania do tej powieści. A przecież ta narracja nie tylko obrazuje społeczeństwo końca XIX wieku – jest także wnikliwym studium relacji matki i córki. Przywołując figurę Antygony, skupiam się na analizie relacji matki i córki, aspektu pomijanego nie tylko przez nielicznych badaczy Jędzy (wyjątkiem są uwagi Grażyny Borkowskiej w Cudzoziemkach), ale i przez interpretatorów mitu o Edypie. Chcę ponadto pokazać te problemy z perspektywy psychologicznej, zwłaszcza że dotychczasowe lektury mitu antygonalno-edypalnego korzystają przede wszystkim z narzędzi antropologicznych i filozoficznych. Odwołanie do tego nośnego mitu legitymizuje zresztą studium Borkowskiej zatytułowane Orzeszkowa i sprawa Antygony, w którym badaczka wykazała powiązania twórczości prozatorskiej autorki Chama z różnorodnymi praktykami interpretacyjnymi dramatów Sofoklesa.
    A few historians of literature have written about The Shrew [Jędza] (1891) by Eliza Orzeszkowa. Apart from a few reviews, it is difficult to find studies or even references to the novel. Yet, this narrative does not only illustrate the end of the nineteenth century society – it is also a thorough study of the relation between the mother and a daughter. While recalling the figure of Antigone, I am interested in the analysis of the mother-daughter relationship, the aspect neglected not only by a few researchers of The Shrew [Jędza] (except the comments by Grażyna Borkowska in The Foreigners [Cudzoziemki]), but also by the interpreters of the myth of Oedipus. Furthermore, these problems are worth showing from a psychological perspective, especially because of the fact that the previous readings of the myth of Antigone and Oedipus, primarily used the anthropological and philosophical tools. The reference to the myth legitimizes the study by Borkowska entitled The Orzeszkowa and the Case of Antigone [Orzeszkowa i sprawa Antygony], in which the researcher has shown the links between Orzeszkowa’s novels and the various interpretive practices of the Sophocles’s dramas.
