    Opis:
    The coverage of the situation reports of the Silesian authorities for the period 1933-1939 highlighted the behaviour of German society involved in creating unions and associations of various shades and political options. This material depicts the picture with the evolution in the attitude of the Germans in Silesia going in two directions. One is marked with irredentism and deriving not only inspiration, but also directives and financial resources from the Weimar Republic and later the Reich. The other direction was more or less oriented towards the autonomous policy (in relation to the political objectives of the German policy) of the part of the minority, which required loyal inclusion in the Polish reality. The most often mentioned advocate of the latter direction was Dr Eduard Pant. The possibilities of following the same road were also in other groupings, especially Catholic ones. The situation changed as the Nazi regime began the road to war. In this case, the opposition to Hitler in German society actually was gradually dying; a majority of the Germans outside the Reich decided to follow Hitler as their patriotic duty, which did not have to mean they identified with the Nazi world-view.

    In the Second Polish Republic there were new administrative structures. As a result of the unification process, central and territorial administrations were created. Territorial administration was divided into government and self-government administration. Government administration was created by general and special administration. A particular organ in the administration of the Second Polish Republic was the voivod who performed two functions. On the one hand, he was the representative of the Government in the area of the voivodship, on the other hand he was the head of the general administration. The character of the authority of the provincial governor and his office, which assisted him in performing his tasks, was presented on the example of the Provincial Office in Krakow of the 1932.
    W artykule podjęto próbę scharakteryzowania ustroju Urzędu Wojewódzkiego Krakowskiego w świetle Statutu organizacyjnego i szczegółowego podziału czynności wprowadzonego zarządzeniem Wojewody Krakowskiego z 21 grudnia 1931 r. Na potrzeby artykułu dokonano również skrótowego przedstawienia struktury aparatu administracji publicznej w II Rzeczypospolitej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem funkcji wojewody jako przedstawiciela rządu oraz szefa administracji ogólnej.

    Wydział do spraw Wyznań Urzędu Wojewódzkiego w Tarnowie rozpoczął działalność w 1975 r. Przez cały okres swojego istnienia, do końca 1989 r., funkcjonował jako samodzielny wydział wyodrębniony w strukturze tego urzędu. Swoim zasięgiem obejmował obszar województwa tarnowskiego. Na jego terenie koordynował wszelkie działania z zakresu materii wyznaniowej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie i omówienie pozostałości aktowej powstałej w wyniku działalności tego wydziału oraz ukazanie jej wartości badawczej jako źródła do badań nad kierunkami polityki wyznaniowej realizowanej w PRL na szczeblu wojewódzkim. W opracowaniu zwrócono uwagę na postać fizyczną archiwaliów oraz ich stan zachowania. Podstawę źródłową niniejszego opracowania stanowią archiwalia wytworzone i zgromadzone w czasie funkcjonowania WdsW Urzędu Wojewódzkiego w Tarnowie oraz wszelkie dostępne materiały archiwalne wytworzone przez inne wydziały tarnowskiego urzędu wojewódzkiego, a także akty prawne, zwłaszcza zarządzenia i decyzje wojewody tarnowskiego, dotyczące omawianej problematyki.
    T he Department of Denominations in Provincial Office in Tarnow was launched in 1975. Throughout all its existence until the end of 1989, the department operated as an autonomous section that was allocated in the structure of the office. Its main role was in coordinating all kinds of actions related to religious affairs. The range of its activity was the area of Tarnow Voivodeship. This article aims to depict and elaborate the archives heritage that was produced in the course of activity of the Department of Denominations in the Provincial Office in Tarnow. In addition, the article presents the exploratory value of records resources from the Department of Denominations as a source for researches concerning directions of religious policy that was conducted in the time of the Polish People’s Republic at the voivodeship level. In this elaboration, particular attention was paid to physical forms and the state of preservation of the archives.

    The article presents a very modest state of research on the architecture of the then Presidium of the Provincial National Council in Kielce - currently the provincial and marshal's office. The research methodology was adopted to find new facts influencing the choice of place and the architectural form of the office. The study covered the period from the beginning of the 1950s to the end of the 1970s. An episode of socialist realism was shown, influencing its functionally and spatially planned location and the direction of modernism in architecture. Its similarity with the works of Le Corbusier was pointed out as a probable inspiration. As a result, a building was constructed that positively entered the postwar urban planning of the city. On the other hand, as an element of an unrealized modernist urban vision, it is a warning against the desire to irreversibly destroy the historic space of downtown Kielce.
    W artykule przedstawiono bardzo skromny stan badań architektury ówczesnego budynku Prezydium Wojewódzkiej Rady Narodowej w Kielcach - obecnie Urzędu Wojewódzkiego i Marszałkowskiego. Przyjęto metodykę badań w celu poszukiwań nowych faktów, mających wpływ na wybór miejsca i formę architektoniczną budynku. Badaniem objęto okres od początku lat pięćdziesiątych do końca siedemdziesiątych XX wieku. Ukazano wpływ socrealizmu na jego zaplanowaną funkcjonalnie i przestrzennie lokalizację oraz kierunku modernizmu na architekturę. Wskazano na dzieła Le Corbusiera jako prawdopodobną inspirację. W ich efekcie zrealizowano budynek, który pozytywnie wpisał się na karty powojennej urbanistyki miasta. Z drugiej strony, jako element niezrealizowanej modernistycznej wizji urbanistycznej, jest przestrogą przed chęcią nieodwracalnego zniszczenia historycznej przestrzeni śródmieścia Kielc.

    Publikacja przedstawia wojewódzką jednostkę komunistycznej Służby Bezpieczeństwa (SB) w Krośnie, działającą w latach 1975–1990 w strukturach tamtejszej Komendy Wojewódzkiej Milicji Obywatelskiej, a od 1983 r. Wojewódzkiego Urzędu Spraw Wewnętrznych. Artykuł podzielono na dwie części. W pierwszej opisano okoliczności powstania jednostki wojewódzkiej SB w Krośnie w czerwcu 1975 r. oraz jej strukturę, a także zmiany organizacyjne i etatowe, jakie nastąpiły w okresie 15 lat jej istnienia, zaprezentowano jednostki SB podległe WUSW w Krośnie, a utworzone w 1983 r. w rejonowych urzędach spraw wewnętrznych w Jaśle, Brzozowie, Sanoku, Lesku i Ustrzykach Dolnych oraz od 1985 r. w Krośnie. Natomiast w drugiej części znalazły się obszerne biogramy z przebiegiem służby trzech kierowników wojewódzkiej jednostki SB w Krośnie: Stanisława Jamrozika, Jana Żaka i Juliana Szyndlera. Artykuł uzupełniają fotografie wymienionych kierowników jednostki oraz tabele przedstawiające strukturę jednostki SB w 1975 i 1981 r.
    This publication presents the provincial unit of the communist Security Service in Krosno, which was operating from 1975 to 1990 within the structures of the local Provincial Headquarters of the Citizens’ Militia and, from 1983, of the Provincial Office of the Interior. The article is divided into two parts. The first describes the circumstances of the establishment of the provincial unit of the Security Service in Krosno in June 1975 along with its structure, as well as the organisational and staffing changes that took place during the 15 years of its existence. It then presents the Security Service units subordinate to the Provincial Office of the Interior in Krosno that were established in 1983 in the district offices of the interior in Jasło, Brzozów, Sanok, Lesko and Ustrzyki Dolne, and from 1985 in Krosno. The second part, on the other hand, contains extensive biographical notes describing the course of service of the three heads of the provincial unit of the Security Service in Krosno: Stanisław Jamrozik, Jan Żak and Julian Szyndler. The article is supplemented both by photographs of the said unit heads and tables showing the structure of the Security Service unit in 1975 and 1981.
