    W artykule przedstawiono projekt i opisano prototyp semi-autonomicznego robota mobilnego wykonanego w ramach przedmiotu "Konstruowanie robotów i urządzeń automatyki" prowadzonego w Katedrze Podstaw Konstrukcji Maszyn Politechniki Śląskiej. Do budowy robota wykorzystano znormalizowane i skatalogowane elementy, co przyczyniło się do skrócenia procesu projektowania. W prototypie robota zastosowano komputer klasy nano-PC jako układ sterowania wysokiego poziomu. Niską warstwę układu sterowania zrealizowano za pomocą modułu typu open-hardware. System sterowania opracowano w środowisku Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio. Główny diagram systemu sterowania zaimplementowano w języku Microsoft Visual Programming Language. Przeprowadzono badania weryfikacyjne potwierdzające pełną funkcjonalność utworzonego prototypu robota.
    In the article a project of a semi-autonomous mobile robot prototype was presented. The robot was created in a frame of an education project in Department of Fundamentals of Machinery Design at Silesian University of Technology. In order to build the robot chassis standard mechanical parts were used. This approach has contributed to shortening the design process. In the prototype of the high-level control system a nano-PC was used. The low layer of the control system with help of an open-hardware module was realized. The software was developed in Microsoft Robotics Developer Studio. The main control scheme was implemented using Microsoft Visual Programming Language. The verification tests which had confirmed the full functionality of the robot prototype where conducted.

    The economy of any country depends on its ability to conserve and regenerate energy. Therefore, it is a key element for the development of any country. Every second its supply is rapidly becoming exhausted in this fast and busy moving world. The continuous and dynamic rise in the world’s population has a great impact on energy crisis. Due to this, an optimal method of utilising energy needs to be developed. For instance, ecofriendly solutions for vehicles. An effective generation of power can be obtained with three steps, one as linear motion to rotary and again rotary motion to produce electricity. Owing to this concept, energy can be preserved, and its implementation is essential for current situation considering a high rate of world’s population.

    The article is concerned with the status and features of the autumn poem as a poetic form well-known to both authors and readers. This poem does not fit the traditional genological taxonomy and it can be characterized from both the perspective of thematic criticism and from poetics based on the prototype concept of the genre. The author focuses on this second way and suggests that the autumn poem should be considered as a polytypic concept. It includes a set of types separated according to criteria that refer to different planes of text. She proves that such an approach may be useful in studying both the communications situation and phenomena of popularity of the phenomenon.

    Evaluation of the measured data, which are obtained from testing of the HCCI engine prototype, is a complex process taking into consideration questions of the vibration diagnostics. The complexity of this procedure is caused due to a necessity to evaluate a large amount of the various data. One of the solution possibilities is application of a multidimensional statistical model within the evaluation process in order to obtain more accurate information about the actual operational condition concerning the analysed engine.

    The article is an attempt to outline the cognitively understood web of school genres used for self-presentation. The author is trying to answer the question of which genre takes the place of the prototype model centre and what relations occur between the genres within the web. The starting point for the literary genetics traversing in the linguistic-didactic perspective was the theory of self- -presentation as well as both school and extracurricular texts that pursue specified genre patterns.     The article presents theoretical considerations concerning the relationship between the original text and the texts of translations with the use of the cognitive categorization model. From the perspective of the theory of prototypes, translation studies can be conducted at the general level of texts: the source and the target and at the detailed level: translation units and their translation equivalents. The structure of a category will depend on the researcher’s intuition and their decision to choose the unit in the center of the category under consideration. The aim of the paper is to propose several new categorization models, reflecting the various possibilities of building a category of translations with a central-peripheral structure at the level of the texts as a whole. This is due to the consideration of whether and in what sense the original text can be perceived as a prototype in relation to the translation text? In the center of the translation category, it is possible, for example, to place an ideal translation of the original, potential or actually existing in the host culture. The central-peripheral structure of translation category may also be useful in presenting the results of the translator’s decision-making process regarding the selection of a translation equivalent, as well as in the process of critical analysis of various translation solutions, especially in translation series, which, however, is beyond the scope of the present article.

    W artykule zaprezentowano próbę zastosowania kognitywnej teorii prototypów w badaniach przekładoznawczych na poziomie makrojednostki, jaką stanowi dwutekst, czyli para tekstów: oryginał i przekład, postrzegane i rozpatrywane łącznie. Zgodnie z takim ujęciem zaproponowano trzy modele teoretyczne kategorii przekładów wybranego tekstu. Oprócz modelu ogólnego przedstawiono również kategorię z przekładem prototypowym oraz kategorię z modelem mentalnym przekładu jako elementami pary dwutekstów, znajdujących się w centrum kategorii. Centralno-peryferyjna struktura kategorii pozwala zwizualizować stopień przybliżenia do ideału poszczególnych, realnych lub tylko potencjalnych dwutekstów. Modele mogłyby również być przydatne w o odnalezieniu odpowiedzi na pytanie, dlaczego w ocenie odbiorców właśnie ten, a nie inny przekład utworu zyskał uznanie lub stracił status albo przy ocenie wariantów przekładowych w seriach przekładowych.
    The paper presents an attempt to apply the cognitive theory of prototypes in translation studies at the level of a macro-unit, which is so called bitext, that is, a pair of texts: the original and the translation, viewed and taken together. In accordance with this approach, three theoretical models of the category of translation of the selected text were proposed. In addition to the general model, a category with prototypical translation and a category with a mental model of translation as elements of bitexts, located at the center of the category, are also presented. The central-peripheral structure of the categories makes it possible to visualize the degree of approximation to the ideal of individual real or only potential bitexts. The models could also be useful in finding answers to the question of why, in the opinion of the audience, just this and not another translation of a work gained recognition or lost status, or in evaluating translation variants in translation series.

    The paper aims to present commercialisation models for advanced technologies and services which can be applied in an R&D organisation. Against the background of the literature review on theoretical and practically verified commercialisation models, and marketing strategies and tools, the authors propose an original model, 7MWwBP, composed of several hybrid submodels. The model is intended to support commercialisation processes carried out at R&D organisations. The model is based on the input criteria (the type of innovation and the character of the innovation related to the market demand scale), and it indicates possible commercialisation paths (sale, licence, provision of a service, or a spin-off) and sets of dedicated marketing tools (BTL). The advantage of the model is that an R&D result (innovation) is its focal point, and the whole commercialisation process depends on it. The model aims to mitigate an empirical and research gap as regards commercialisation models suitable for R&D organisations. Furthermore, the model is distinguished by a holistic approach, which is not common for the commercialisation models described in the literature, as they do not comprehensively consider the relationship between the models and the type and character of a technological solution, commercialisation path, and the marketing tools used for commercialisation of R&D results. All the listed aspects are considered and included in the 7MWwBP model, which makes it suitable for the commercialisation of R&D results originating from research organisations, as presented in and substantiated by the example of an actual commercialisation process concerning R&D results in the field of optomechatronics.
