Opis:
Oleś i Pani Róża by Anna Janko is a postmemorial narrative for the youngest. The trajectory of the fate of a several‑year‑old hero is a literary realisation of the course of dramatic events connected with displacement, separation from parents, the stay in a temporary camp in Zwierzyniec, an orphanage, and the potential danger of not only Germanisation but also death. Thus, the title character becomes a figure of the fate of Children of Zamojszczyzna (Zamość region); in some way he represents them. The piece is also an expression of the homage paid to Róża and Jan Tomasz Zamoyski in recognition of their merits for saving actions for the youngest inhabitants of Zamojszczyzna. Janko’s work is based on family transmission, that is, on inheriting the experience of great‑grandfather (former Oleś) by his great‑granddaughter Róża (namesake of Róża Zamoyska). The narrative touches upon a subject that until recently was considered a taboo, introducing Polish expressions that accentuate the category of “Children of Zamość region” - a toponymic, tragic, negative distinction of the age group, region, and history. One can see character‑related or constructional parallels between the work of Anna Janko and the novel by Éric‑Emmanuel Schmitt - Oskar i Pani Róża (Oscar and the Lady in Pink), which is also intertextually indicated by the very title: Oleś i Pani Róża.

Roksana Jędrzejewska-Wróbel in three views. About creating realties through the use of word and picture enters The article entitled Roksana Jędrzejewska-Wróbel in three views. About creating realties through the use of word and picture enters into interpretation of particular meanings between the literary text and its representation. Three books by Roksana Jędrzejewska-Wróbel, such as: Królewna (2009), O słodkiej królewnie i pięknym księciu (2008), Florka. Listy do Józefiny (2008) have been chosen to be discussed. The authoress of the article points to differences in how the particular illustrators: Ewa Poklewska-Koziełło, Agnieszka Żelewska, Jona Jung picture their works. She pays attention to the fact that the ways of introducing the picture (writers line, avant-garde concept, choice of scenes etc.) establish new context for understanding each literary work as a whole filling in so called space “between” (between word and picture).

Opis:
The phenomena of the old age and childhood are known through projection of intergenerational relation in the family. The subject of interpretation quest in selected texts mainly of social prose for youth is mostly poetical literary image of the relation of a grandparent to the main child character and its variations in the topic. The author follows the way the authorial vision is being transformed into particular original forms and meaning in the texts of Dušan Dušek (The oldest from all sparrows), Peter Holka (A Summer on a waggoner´s horse) and Peter Glocko (I am not afraid of vacations, Robinson and Gramp Millionaire) but also in the context of the other selected authors, whose texts are topically oriented in literary image of the relation between grandparent and his grandchild. The study is not focused on all levels of the epic text, but concentrates on characters and their acting, on the type and language characteristics of the bearers of tradition and teenager.

Opis:
Szczególnie często wykorzystywanymi środkami językowymi (z różnych poziomów organizacji języka i tekstu) realizującymi poszczególne strategie były: nagromadzenie, hiperbola, kontrast, słownictwo aksjologiczne, topos zamilknięcia, bestializacja, argumentum ad verecundiam.
The aim of the sketch is to identify writing strategies and the repertoires of linguistic means used in the apotheosizing description of the state that emerges from Zofia Bukowiecka’s historical prose. Creation of a laudatory vision of Poland’s past (in accordance with the guidelines of the era) is created by Z. Bukowiecka purposively and is of an educational, comforting, and finally – the most importantly – formative nature, i.e. it aims to awaken patriotic attitudes in a nation which was deprived of the state. A look at Zofia Bukowiecka’s texts from the perspective of linguistic pragmatics allowed us to distinguish several writing strategies that serve to implement the apotheosis of the past vision. These are the idyllic stylization of the landscape, the amelioration of the state, the glorification of the rulers and the magnification of the nation. Particularly frequently used linguistic means (from various levels of language and text organization) implementing particular strategies were: accumulation, hyperbole, contrast, evaluative vocabulary, the topos of becoming silent, brutalization, argumentum ad verecundiam.

national renaissance
Opis:
The tradition that Naim created is alive and inspirational even among the lives of the present society. More than a writer, Naim is the greatest poet of our National Renaissance, is a patriot, think-tank and famous activist of education and Albanian culture. His most special merit in this literary creativity stands in the fact that he raised the literature for children at a higher artistic level, strongly affecting the other Renaissance figures. Which are the virtues that Naim Frashëri wants to develop among the children? As a writer and professor, Naim aimed to activate through his creativities the intellectual and educational thought and the spiritual moral emancipation of the children. In his literary creativity, Naim Frashëri appears not only as a famous writer and poet, but as a great professor at the same time, publishing literary and pedagogical works. The book Reader for boys with short stories distinguished him as a talented prose writer for children, whereas the poetic art in the collection Poetry for the first grades established him as the founder of the poetry for children, where Naim appears as an educator and serves as a propagandist of the noble virtues of love for work, of honour, faith, justice, truth, humanism, will for learning and knowledge, love for one’s country. In the general view of this literature, as a poet and writer through different genres and types, Naim aims to give advices, to convey wisdom and philosophy but also to emanate elements of culture and good manners, behaviour and moral. Naim, likewise his predecessors: Naum Veqilharxhi and Kostandin Kristoforidhi, dedicated himself to the literature for children to deeply affect the conscience and moral of the children. In this point of view there is another reason why Naim dedicated himself to the literature for children: he was convinced that the boundaries of the linguistic culture of the nation are laid down at school and in childhood. “Little boys and maids need to learn their language, to read it correctly and write it good”. Thus, the poetry and prose for children subdue to his aim; the artistic and patriotic education of children. Therefore, for this contribution that he brought, Naim Frashëri deserved being named as the founder of Albanian literature for children and as its main representative during the National Renaissance.
