The above question was raised by Teodor Przymusiński in May, 1983, in an unpublished manuscript of his. Later on, it was recognized by Takao Hoshina as a question that is of fundamental importance in the theory of rectangular normality. The present paper provides a complete affirmative solution. The basis number of a graph G is defined to be the least integer d such that there is a basis B of the cycle space of G such that each edge of G is contained in at most d members of B. In this paper we give an upper bound of the basis number of the strong product of a graph with a bipartite graph and we show that this upper bound is the best possible.

Using the white noise space setting, we define and study stochastic integrals with respect to a class of stationary increment Gaussian processes. We focus mainly on continuous functions with values in the Kondratiev space of stochastic distributions, where use is made of the topology of nuclear spaces. We also prove an associated Ito formula.

We establish a covering criterion involving a neighbourhood system and ideals of open sets which yields, in particular, a compactness criterion for an arbitrary topological space. As an application, we give new proofs of Tychonoff’s compactness theorem: we consider separately the case of a countable product, in a proof of which the ordinary mathematical induction is used, and the case of an uncountable product proved by the transfinite induction. Subsequently, the same argument is applied to obtain some results on products of Lindelöf spaces.

. In this paper we introduce a new approach to the study of filtering theory by allowing the system's parameters to have a random character. We use Hida's white noise space theory to give an alternative characterization and a proper generalization to the Wiener filter over a suitable space of stochastic distributions introduced by Kondratiev. The main idea throughout this paper is to use the nuclearity of this space in order to view the random variables as bounded multiplication operators (with respect to the Wick product) between Hilbert spaces of stochastic distributions. This allows us to use operator theory tools and properties of Wiener algebras over Banach spaces to proceed and characterize the Wiener filter equations under the underlying randomness assumptions.

When integral kernel of an integral transform is being formed, it should be the outcome of scalar product differentiation rule if the kernel is supposed to be eventually used as an integrand in a prospective integration. Yet it has already been shown that despite ensuing from properly performed differentiation, the resulting integral kernel contains, beside the covariant differential that is suitable for integration, also a certain contravariant term, which is not appropriate for integration in the same space as the covariant differential. But the contravariant term also can be turned into proper, though multiplicatively inverse covariant differential, if placed within a space that is reciprocal to the given primary space in which the first, covariant differential, is represented naturally. This uncharacteristic conversion of the contravariant expression from the primary space into the reciprocal covariant differential in the dual reciprocal space that is paired with the given primary space, can be considered as indirect proof that pairing of mutually dual reciprocal spaces is necessary in order to properly form operationally legitimate and geometrically valid differential structures. Consequently, the pairing of an infinitesimal descending singularity of the 2D domain of complex numbers with an infinitely ascending singularity deployed in the 1D domain of real numbers requires certain dual reciprocal spatial or quasispatial structures, for the downward transition from 2D descending complex singularities to the 1D ascending “real” singularities to be meaningfully/unambiguously implemented. Furthermore, just as integration by parts formula is a counterpart of the regular product differentiation rule, a new multispatial scalar product integration rule is proposed as a counterpart to the singlespatial product differentiation rule, and introduced by analogy to the latter, “regular” product integration rule.

E. Tutaj has introduced classes of Schauder bases termed "unconditional-like" (UL) and "unconditional-like*" (UL*) whose intersection is the class of unconditional bases. In view of this association with unconditional bases, it is interesting to note that there exist Banach spaces which have no unconditional basis and yet have a basis of one of these two types (e.g., the space [0,1]). In the same spirit, we show in this paper that the space of all compact operators on a reflexive Banach space with an unconditional basis has a basis of type UL*, even though it is well-known that this space has no unconditional basis.

W kontekście zmian zachodzących w kształtowaniu się ruchu turystycznego, w związku z zaistniałą sytuacją epidemiologiczną, na znaczeniu zyskały e-narzędzia; przykładem jest Geocaching Adventure Lab, który stanowi rodzaj gry terenowej pozwalający uczestnikom eksplorować i kreować przestrzeń turystyczną w indywidualny sposób. Celem artykułu jest rozpoznanie skali turystyki geocachingowej oraz charakterystyka skrytek Adventure Lab jako nieodzownego elementu rozwoju nowej turystyki na przykładzie obszarów nadmorskich krajów położonych w południowo-wschodniej części Bałtyku. W tym celu przeprowadzono internetową kwerendę skrytek, a uzyskane dane poddano opisowi statystycznemu. Stwierdzono istotne różnice w zakresie stopnia zagospodarowania geocachingowej przestrzeni turystycznej i związanym z nim ruchem turystycznym w badanych krajach. Uzyskane wyniki prowadzą do wniosku o możliwości kierowania i sterowania ruchem turystycznym za pomocą odpowiednio przygotowanej Adventure Lab. Skrytki spełniają również wymagania stawiane produktowi turystycznemu.
In the context of changes in tourism traffic, due to the epidemiological situation, e-tools have gained in importance; the example is Geocaching Adventure Lab – a kind of field game that allows participants to explore and create a tourist space in an individual way. The goal of the paper is to identify the scale of geocaching tourism and the description of the Adventure Lab caches as an indispensable element of the development of new tourism, on the example of coastal areas of countries located in the south-eastern part of the Baltic. For this purpose, Internet query of caches was conducted and the obtained data was subjected to statistical description. Significant differences were found in terms of the degree of equipment of geo- caching tourism space by caches and related with these tourist traffic in individual countries. The obtained results lead to the conclusion about the possibility of directing and controlling tourist traffic by means of a properly-prepared Adventure. The caches also meet the requirements for a tourist product.
