    Opis:
    At the end of the XX century significant changes in the rehabilitation practice took place. The traditional, medical model of rehabilitation was replaced with the social model. The development of rehabilitation practice required modifications in the approach to the problems of the handicapped. Therefore, the article discusses the results of research which defined life problems experienced currently by the handicapped. As a consequence of the conducted analysis, a proposition has been presented which suggests that the process of adjusting to disability should be interpreted as an individual and linear sequence of changes which lead to varied rehabilitation outcomes. On the basis of this model the article proposes specific principles of influencing psychologically the handicapped in order to increase their involvement in the rehabilitation process.

    Skuteczność działań resocjalizacyjnych oraz poziom efektywności procesu resocjalizacji podlegają obecnie systematycznej analizie. To działania wpisane dziś na stałe w realia funkcjonowania instytucji resocjalizacyjnej, często ujmowanej jako system złożony z powiązanych ze sobą elementów, które tworzą sieć określonych zależności oraz powiązań. Zarówno teoretycy, jak i praktycy resocjalizacji poszukują czynników leżących u podstaw skutecznych działań wychowawczych, edukacyjnych i terapeutycznych. Złożony charakter procesu resocjalizacji nie pozwala na identyfikację skuteczności pojedynczych interwencji; jest to możliwe tylko w przypadku kompleksowych oddziaływań, realizowanych wielotorowo na różnych płaszczyznach: edukacyjnej, wychowawczej i terapeutycznej. W prezentowanym artykule ewaluacja jest rozumiana jako szereg działań analizujących nie tylko efekty, ale przede wszystkim jak doszło do ich uzyskania i jakie czynniki miały na to wpływ. Wyniki ewaluacji pozwalają instytucji na modyfikacje prowadzonych działań oraz dostosowywanie ich do potrzeb, zasobów czy też deficytów nieletnich. Ponadto zwiększają możliwości projektowania oraz wdrażania przez instytucję działań adekwatnych do sytuacji problemowych, które pojawiają się w środowisku wychowawczym.
    Nowadays the effectiveness of social rehabilitation process is the subject to a systematic analysis. These actions are included into the reality of the institution considered as the complex system which consists from elements connected with oneself. Both theoreticians and practitioners of the social rehabilitation pedagogy are seeking the factors underlying reasons of success for effectiveness in education and therapeutic process. It is difficult to find which factors influence on the effectiveness of isolated intervention. It is only possible to determine the effectiveness of education and therapeutic process only if they are analysed as a whole. The process of evaluation, in the presented article, is understood as the sequence of operations which analyse not only effects, but how reached them as well and which factors affected it. Results of the evaluation let the institution to find the proper action and adapting them to day-to-day issues. According to them the institution could design and implement the right action appropriate to problem situations turning up in the education environment.

    W artykule wyjaśnione zostało pojęcie indywidualizacji oddziaływań resocjalizacyjnych. Następnie autor cytuje wyniki badań własnych dotyczących różnych przejawów indywidualizacji oddziaływań wychowawczych stosowanych w praktyce badanych ośrodków. Autor dostrzega potrzebę systematyzacji procesu resocjalizacji w badanych ośrodkach między innymi przez wprowadzenie jednolitego planu dnia lub podstawy programowej wychowania resocjalizacyjnego.Rozwiązania te prowadzić mają do uporządkowania i dookreślenia oddziaływań resocjalizacyjnych.
    The article explains the notion of individualisation of the social rehabilitation measures. In addition the author refers to the findings of its own research of different forms of individualisation of the social rehabilitation measures applied in practice in the youth educational centres. The author identifies the need for the rationalisation of the social rehabilitation process in the researched centres through, among others, the introduction of the uniform daily schedules and the core curriculum of social rehabilitation. Such solutions should lead to better organisation and specification of the social rehabilitation measures.

    The principal task of the social rehabilitation process, which is based on creative social rehabilitation, is to obtain relatively permanent consequences in the personality of the juvenile, his social functioning, creating the parameters of his identity, and the resulting life and social roles. A developing identity of juveniles is a simple way of thinking about oneself, one’s life priorities. It means that young people behave like they think. The process of social rehabilitation takes place in a specific environment of the institution where one can find the objects and the facts, as well as a lot of interaction between them. There is no doubt that among the factors which have a real impact on social rehabilitation the greatest importance is given to interpersonal relations. The space and the place are essential issues in this process. The space of contacts of two personalities – the youth and the teacher – is a plane on which the traces of changes of identity parameters of both interaction partners are imprinted. The place is created for people and by people; it activates the potential of youth.

    Opis:
    This article reviews the process of becoming independent by young people leaving Polish youth educational centers (rehabilitation institutions). In the introduction, we characterize selected aspects of the self-empowerment process, focusing on the description of the legal (systemic) solutions of support for former residents of rehabilitation institutions. In addition, with reference to the findings, we present an alternative, informal proposal of work with a former foster child, i.e. the project of Training Housing carried out by the ‘po Drugie’ Foundation. The main subject of our research was to recognize the experiences of the project participants (their needs, difficulties and the role of foundation support in the process of empowerment). For the purposes of this article, we discussed the problem of the role and importance of the regulations in force in the project. The regulations associated with the limitation of freedoms – as shown by our observations – constitute, at the same time, an important signpost in the first steps on the road to independence. Based on the completed free interviews and conclusions drawn from the evaluation of the first edition of the project, we have identified ways of defining the regulations by the participants of the research (including the role attributed to the regulations in supporting independence). Ultimately, we distinguish two key strategies of becoming familiar with and internalizing the principles proposed by the foundation.
    Artykuł traktuje o procesie usamodzielniania byłych wychowanków instytucji wychowawczych i resocjalizacyjnych. We wstępie scharakteryzowałyśmy wybrane aspekty procesu usamodzielnienia, koncentrując się na opisie prawnych (systemowych) rozwiązań wsparcia byłych wychowanków. Ponadto, odwołując się do poczynionych ustaleń, zaprezentowałyśmy alternatywną, nieformalną propozycję pracy z byłym wychowankiem – realizowany przez Fundację po Drugie projekt mieszkań treningowych. Głównym przedmiotem naszych zainteresowań badawczych było rozpoznanie doświadczeń uczestników projektu (ich potrzeb, trudności oraz roli wsparcia fundacji w procesie usamodzielniania). Na potrzeby artykułu szerzej omówiłyśmy problem roli i znaczenia regulaminu obowiązującego w projekcie. Regulamin kojarzony z ograniczeniem swobód – jak wynika z naszych obserwacji – jednocześnie stanowi ważny drogowskaz w stawianiu pierwszych kroków na drodze do samodzielności. Bazując na zrealizowanych wywiadach swobodnych oraz wnioskach zaczerpniętych z ewaluacji pierwszej edycji projektu, wyłoniłyśmy sposoby definiowania regulaminu przez uczestników badania (w tym również przypisywaną regulaminowi rolę we wspieraniu samodzielności). Ostatecznie wyróżniłyśmy dwie kluczowe strategie oswajania i internalizacji zaproponowanych przez fundację zasad.

    Artykuł stanowi zarys podstaw autorskiej koncepcji twórczej resocjalizacji społecznej jako alternatywnej perspektywy poznawczej w obszarze nauk społecznych, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem nauk pedagogicznych. Jego celem jest ukazanie różnic między klasycznie rozumianą pedagogiką resocjalizacyjną a twórczą resocjalizacją społeczną w wymiarze teoretycznym i metodologicznym, jak i metodycznym. Tekst w możliwie zwięzły sposób wskazuje podobieństwa i różnice pomiędzy tradycyjnie postrzeganym i realizowanym procesem resocjalizacji, traktowanym jako korekta, psychokorekta i socjokorekta, a procesem resocjalizacji rozumianym jako zmiana tożsamości poprzez rozwój potencjałów osobowych i społecznych jednostek nieprzystosowanych.
    The article outlines the foundations of the author’s concept of creative social rehabilitation as an alternative cognitive perspective in the field of social sciences, with particular emphasis on pedagogical sciences. Its aim is to show the differences between the classically understood pedagogy of social rehabilitation and creative social rehabilitation in the theoretical and methodological dimensions. As briefly as possible, the text indicates the similarities and differences between the traditionally perceived and implemented process of social rehabilitation, viewed as correction, psycho-correction and socio-correction, and the process of social rehabilitation perceived as an identity change through the development of personal and social potentials of maladjusted individuals.
