The problem of malnutrated patients in the light of current data requires a comprehensive approach, including proper training for dietitians. Standards for nutritional treatment plans and programs of nutritional therapy do exist. The process of nutritional care according to current standards in many countries is described. It takes into consideration: a) nutrition assessment and evaluation of the risk of malnutrition; b) diet; c) nutritional intervention; d) monitoring and evaluation of nutrition. In this process the evaluation of the nutritional status plays an important role. Anthropometrical examinations were systematized depending on the age of the patient. Data for the assessment of the nutritional status depending on the age and sex of the patient are presented. The appropriate methods for the measurement of the body height of bedridden patient are indicated. The demand for energy and nutrients for the sick depend on many factors. It is important that there is no hyperalimentation of a patient. It is helpful in this calculation to take into account, weight, height, age, stress factors and factors of physical activity. Formulas to calculate the ideal body weight are given.

Opis:
Depending on the process behavior, available know-how and organizational goals, different techniques and tools can be used for business process modeling. We concentrate on e-commerce, and try to find the best marketing strategy for the sales process improvement. In the paper we present the multilayer approach to define enterprise scenarios. This allows us to collect the suitable knowledge necessary for enterprise analysis and improvement. Moreover, we use BPMN notation to formalize this approach and show its capability for the concrete example of an e-shop.

The main purpose of the paper is presentation of new opportunities for process modelling. In the literature review section, Petri nets as one of the formal modelling notation of processes is highlighted and introduction of relatively young research discipline – process mining – is presented. One of the process mining tasks is process model discovery from event logs gathered in informatics systems in enterprise. In the article practical example of process model discovery with ProM software is given with use of real event log from Volvo IT Belgium. In conclusions further opportunities of process mining techniques in process management are emphasized.

Opis:
The article presents the modelling of the combustion process of liquid fuels using professional ANSYS FLUENT software. This program allows modelling the dynamics of compressible and incompressible, laminar and turbulent flows as well as heat exchange phenomena with occurrence and without chemical reactions. The model presented in the article takes into account the influence of the gas phase on the liquid phase during the fuel combustion process. The influence of velocity and pressure of the flowing gas and the type of flow has a significant impact on the combustion of liquid fuels. The developed model is fully reliable and the presented results are consistent with experimental research. The occurrence of a laminar sublayer in a turbulent flow was confirmed, and the thickness of this layer and the turbulent layer significantly influences the course of the combustion process. The use of the flat flow model reflects the basic phenomena occurring during the combustion of liquid fuels under turbulent conditions. The use of the program for flows with different flow velocity profiles is justified. It gives important information about the processes taking place during the combustion of liquid fuels. The results of numerical tests are presented graphically. The article presents graphs of velocity field, absolute pressure, power lines, temperature and density.

W artykule dokonano przeglądu niektórych metodyk inżynierii oprogramowania oraz oceniono ich wady i zalety. Przedstawiono najnowsze tendencje szczególnie w obszarze rozwiązań typu BPMN. Pokazano przyczyny, które wymusiły stworzenie narzędzi w ramach inżynierii oprogramowania. W kolejnych częściach artykułu zawarto opisy trzech metodyk – obiektowej, strukturalnej i BPMN. W zakończeniu porównano i oceniono przydatność poszczególnych metodyk.
The author made a short review of some software engineering methodologies. Evaluation of strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of these methodologies is made in this paper. The author brings forward new perspectives in this area: the BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation) methodology. In point 2, there are shown some reasons for creating particular tools in the software engineering area of interest. Points 3-5 contain a short description of three of them: structured approach, object approach and BPMN. In the conclusion part, the author made comparisons and evaluated usefulness of particular methodologies.

W artykule przedstawiono analizę i wyniki badań powtarzalności charakterys. yk statystycznych procesu obróbki skrawaniem. Omówiono podstawowe modele statystyczne procesów do których można dopasować badany proces. Badania powtarzalności oparto na monitorowaniu parametrów rozkładu odchyłek geometrycznych w cyklach pomiędzy kolejnymi zmianami ostrzy skrawających. Analiza zagadnienia omawia procedurę wyznaczania charakterys. yk statystycznych badanego procesu oraz powtarzalności podstawowych parametrów rozkładu odchyłek geometrycznych. Jako podstawowe parametry rozkładu odchyłek przyjęto wartość średnią odchyłek wymiaru, odchyłek kształtu oraz odchylenia standardowe odchyłek wymiaru i odchyłek kształtu. Wyniki badań i wyznaczonych statystycznie akceptowalnych granic zmienności badanego procesu przedstawiono na wykresach.
The paper presents an analysis and the results of investigations of the statistical characteristics of repeatability of the machining process. Basic statistical process models, to which the investigated process can be fi tted, are discussed. The investigations of repeatability are based on monitoring of the parameters of geometrical deviation distribution in the cycles between the successive changes of cutting tool points. The paper discusses a procedure for determining the statistical characteristics of the process investigated and the repeatability of basic parameters of distribution of geometrical deviations. The mean value of dimension deviations and shape deviations, and standard deviations of dimension and shape deviations were assumed as the basic parameters of deviation distribution. The results of the investigations as well as the statistically determined acceptable variation limits of the process investigated are presented in graphs.

Stres zawodowy jest skutkiem postrzegania braku równowagi między wymaganiami środowiska pracy a możliwościami pracownika w radzeniu sobie z tymi wymogami. Zgodnie z procesualnym modelem stresu zasoby, którymi dysponuje pracownik, mogą moderować związek między wymaganiami pracy a stresem. Zaangażowanie w pracę, czyli długotrwały i pozytywny stan afektywno-poznawczy, może stanowić taki zasób. Wyniki przeprowadzonego badania potwierdziły ten model. W grupie pracowników słabiej zaangażowanych w pracę poziom postrzeganego stresu zawodowego był wyższy, niż w grupie pracowników zaangażowanych, a poziom tej postawy istotnie moderował związek między wymogami pracy a stresem. Przedstawiono praktyczne wnioski dotyczące czynników organizacyjnych wpływających na zaangażowanie w pracę.
Occupational stress is the result of a perceived lack of balance between the work environment's demands and the employee's ability to cope with these demands. According to the stress process model, the employee's resources can moderate the relationship between the job demands and perceived stress. Work engagement, the long-term and positive affective-cognitive state, may constitute such a resource. The results of this study confirm this assumption. In the group of workers less engaged in work, the level of perceived occupational stress was higher than in the group of engaged workers and the level of this attitude significantly moderated the relationship between job demands and perceived stress. Practical implications about organizational factors influencing work engagement are also discussed.

Innovation is a vital factor in today's markets and can dramatically change a company's competitive position. Despite its importance, innovation can also be a high risk adventure for companies due to the high level of uncertainty it entails. This article describes how well structured procedures can help companies guide through the whole innovation process, from idea generation to market launch. Furthermore, it illustrates how the decision making process regarding innovation management can be supported by appropriate software. First, currently existing innovation process models are investigated. How they support small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in their innovation activities is analysed and a modification Thom's well known process model is presented. Furthermore, a description of useful methods and instruments and their use within the innovation process is provided in the form of the innovation tool box. The innovation tool box helps companies both select and implement appropriate methods for the context at hand. A discussion of core factors and basic conditions for successful innovation management in SMEs rounds out the paper. A software tool for innovation management is then presented. Such software systematically supports innovation management and decision making throughout the whole innovation process. Furthermore, by demanding specific description and guidance of innovation methods it can additionally help companies in executing their innovation projects. How the database within the software can also be used to help companies distribute relevant information effectively is also described.

This article refers to the issues of investment project management on the Polish construction market. It describes the typical projects’ features, definitions, refers to the parameters, methodologies and management standards, makes comparison between themselves (e.g. PMBoK and PRINCE2), describes the life cycle of the work and more specifically indicates its different phases and their importance for the successful projects’ implementation, refers to the widely understood literature. Also, an overview of the legislation governing the construction investment projects can be found in the article. Subsequently, taking the literature as a reference basis and author’s experience gathered during the implementation of various investment projects (in his thirty years of his professional experience), and in particular on the basis of the analysis of four case studies addressing large investment projects that were conducted in the residential housing market in Warsaw agglomeration, the proprietary proces development model was described and discussed in the article. In this context, specific consideration was given to the aspects related to management flexibility. The model consisting of 16 stages (grouped in 8 process development phases) was thoroughly described, with a particular focus on its strengths. In this respect and with reference to the management of investment projects there are also described process groups, recognized as integral elements of the management areas indicated by the PMBoK and PRINCE2 (including management of different areas such as integration, scope, time, costs, quality etc.) As a complement to those process groups, several additional management areas (which according to the author were omitted in other methodologies and standards- based management) were proposed and described (including value management or graphical elements management among others). Last but not least, the issue of flexible and innovative investment management was illustrated in practice by the case of the construction of the complex of residential estates Warszawa-Bemowo.

Jednym z podstawowych problemów badawczych dotyczących przedsiębiorczości społecznej jest brak jej jednoznacznej definicji. Problem ten jest dostrzegalny także w Polsce, gdzie pojęcie to wyjaśniane jest w odniesieniu do koncepcji gospodarki społecznej i trzeciego sektora lub traktowane jest jako metafora działań innowacyjnych podejmowanych przez różne grupy i podmioty. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest wyjaśnienie znaczenia terminu „przedsiębiorczość społeczna” z wykorzystaniem podejścia procesowego. Do realizacji tego celu wykorzystano metodę analizy i syntezy literatury przedmiotu. W wyniku analizy stwierdzono, iż procesowe ujęcie przedsiębiorczości społecznej jest użyteczną perspektywą analityczną dla rozumienia sedna działalności łączącej cele społeczne z metodami rynkowymi, jak również poznania przebiegu procesu przedsiębiorczego na poziomie mikro. Jednocześnie sformułowano wniosek o konieczności popularyzacji w Polsce badań o charakterze empirycznym i teoretycznym z wykorzystaniem podejścia procesowego, zwłaszcza w kontekście braku prawnej definicji przedsiębiorstwa społecznego oraz wstępnych ustaleń w tym zakresie.
One of the basic research problems concerning social entrepreneurship is the lack of a clear definition of social entrepreneurship. This problem is also noticeable in Poland, where this concept is explained in relation to the concept of social economy, the third sector or treated as a metaphor for innovative activities undertaken by various groups and entities. The aim of the article is to explain the meaning of the term “social entrepreneurship” using a process approach. The method of analysis and synthesis of the literature on the subject was used to achieve the goal. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the process approach to social entrepreneurship is a useful analytical perspective for understanding the core of the activity combining social objectives with market methods, as well as for learning about the course of the entrepreneurial process at the micro level. At the same time, there is a conclusion that it is necessary to popularise empirical and theoretical research in Poland with the use of a process approach, especially in the context of the lack of a legal definition of social enterprise and initial arrangements in this area.

A specific type of Internet based information systems (IBIS) [1] realization and enterprise integrated management systems (EIMS) [2] - are considered. This paper describes the first stage of EIMS design - enterprise modeling. A unique enterprise structure is suggested for its application when enterprise modeling. Basic concepts of enterprise functioning are specified. Extensible document model (EDM) and business process (BP) models are suggested for realization of enterprise informational and functional infrastructures development, their analysis and improvement. A real example of a business process is described.
W artykule przedstawiono realizację systemu informacyjnego opartego na internecie (IBIS) oraz zintegrowanych systemów zarządzania przedsiębiorstwami EIMS) [1]. Przedsiębiorstwo o złożonej strukturze, o różnych powiązaniach produkcyjnych i serwisowych, którego działalność jest oparta na Internecie, jest bardzo złożonym obiektem sterowania. Funkcjonowanie nowoczesnego przedsiębiorstwa wymaga zamodelowania przynajmniej dwu głównych elementów: przepływu dokumentów funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa i procesów biznesowych. W pracy przedstawiono pierwszy etap projektu EIMS, tj. modelowanie przedsiębiorstwa. Proponowana jest unikatowa struktura zadania do jego modelowania. Wyszczególnione są podstawowe elementy funkcjonowania przedsiębiorstwa. Zaproponowano rozszerzalny model dokumentu (EDM) oraz model procesu biznesowego (BP) do realizacji, rozwoju analizy i udoskonalania infrastruktury informacyjnej i funkcjonalnej. Metodykę zilustrowano przykładem rzeczywistego procesu biznesowego. Jako środowisko działania systemu IBIS wybrano księgarnię internetową, prowadzącą sprzedaż książek przez Internet.

Opis:
This article presents tests of information democracy process model. Its basic forms were defined as – direct, semi-direct, open source democracy. Following subjects were analyzed: electronic voting, on-line election, on-line referendum, electronic parliament and other process models of information democracy. The paper presents the opportunities and benefits to the citizens in the sphere of information, including the management process and the political system.
В статье рассмотрена процессуальная модель информационной демократии. Определены основные ее формы – прямая, полупрямая, демократия с открытыми кодами. Проанализированы электронное голосование, э-выборы, референдумные голосования онлайн, э-парламент и другие виды процессуальной формы информационной демократии. Определены их особенности и преимущества, которые они предоставляют информационному гражданину в управление государственными делами и управлении политической системой.
