The aim of this work was to propose a methodology supporting the task of collecting the comparative data on studies of the mechanical properties of ADI. Collecting of research data is an important step in the process of finding the optimum design solutions for newly made products - experimental data allow us properly calibrate the manufacturing process of ADI to let the final product achieve the required properties. Parameters of the ADI production process, i.e. the time and temperature of austenitising and austempering, as well as the alloying elements added to ductile iron affect the ADI properties. The design process can use research data collected, among others, from the Web. As stated in the article, the process of data acquisition can be supported by semantic technologies, including ontologies which are descriptive logic formalism.

The main goal of the article is to present the results of the study relating to the assessment of data mining process maturity on the example of Polish organizations. Several partial objectives were added to the main goal. CT1: To diagnose the current state of knowledge regarding the data-mining process in the discipline of management sciences. Attempts at attaining this objective served to identify the knowledge gap. CT2: To adopt an appropriate theoretical perspective in the form of a theoretical model, enabling the implementation of future research challenges. The first section of the article describes the results of quantitative and qualitative bibliometric analysis. The second section presents the parameters and the definition of the data mining process. Then, the theoretical model used for measuring the maturity of the data mining process is discussed. In the fourth section, the structure of the empirical research conducted and its partial results are outlined. It transpired that the vast majority of the surveyed organizations qualified at the first level of process maturity, defined as a state in which organizations are not aware of the need to identify activities aimed at data mining. Research objectives formulated in the article have been implemented using such research methods as quantitative and qualitative bibliometric analysis, opinion polls and statistical methods.
Celem głównym artykułu było przedstawienie wyników badania oceny dojrzałości procesu eksploracji danych na przykładzie polskich organizacji. Realizacji celu głównego przyporządkowano cele cząstkowe. CT1: Określenie istniejącego stanu wiedzy dotyczącego data-mining process w dyscyplinie nauk o zarządzaniu. Podjęta próba realizacji tego celu służyła identyfikacji luki poznawczej. CT2: Przyjęcie odpowiedniej perspektywy teoretycznej w postaci modelu teoretycznego, umożliwiającego realizację przyszłych wyzwań badawczych. W pierwszej sekcji artykułu opisano wyniki ilościowej i jakościowej analizy bibliometrycznej. Następnie, w sekcji drugiej przedstawiono parametry i definicję procesu eksploracji danych. W sekcji następnej przedstawiono model teoretyczny, wykorzystany do pomiaru dojrzałości procesu eksploracji danych. W sekcji czwartej, w wyniku zrealizowanego postępowania empirycznego scharakteryzowano strukturę badania oraz cząstkowe wyniki. W jego rezultacie stwierdzono, że zdecydowana większość badanych organizacji została zakwalifikowana do pierwszego poziomu dojrzałości procesu, definiowanego jako stan, w którym organizacje nie wykazują świadomości potrzeby identyfikacji działań zmierzających do eksploracji danych. Sformułowane w artykule cele badawcze zostały zrealizowane z wykorzystaniem takich metod badawczych, jak: ilościowa i jakościowa analiza bibliometryczna, sondażowe badanie opinii oraz metody statystyczne.

Analysis of historical data allows for drawing the right conclusions, and guarantees improved quality of the final product. Effective enterprise management system, and technological knowledge management system in particular, is an indispensable tool for any innovative foundry. Simulation Process & Data Management is a new, dynamically-developing scientific field. Also in the foundry industry it is a very important step towards the management of casting simulation results.
Wiedza technologiczna jest to zbiór informacji pochodzących z każdego etapu przygotowania produkcji odlewniczej. Wiedza, doświadczenie są najważniejszym czynnikami dynamicznego rozwoju każdej odlewni. Umiejętne archiwizowanie i zarządzanie wiedza technologiczna, w tym symulacjami komputerowymi jest kluczowym elementem budowania przewagi konkurencyjnej. Analiza danych historycznych umożliwia wyciąganie właściwych wniosków oraz gwarantuje poprawe jakości wyrobu końcowego. Efektywny system zarządzania przedsiebiorstwem, w szczególności system zarządzania wiedzą technologiczną jest niezbędnym narzędziem każdej innowacyjnej odlewni. Simulation Process & Data Management jest nową, dynamicznie rozwijającą się dziedzina nauki. W branży odlewniczej jest to bardzo ważny krok w kierunku zarządzania wynikami symulacji dla odlewnictwa.

Today many different software tools for decision support exist; the same is true for data mining which can be seen as a particularly challenging sub-area of decision support. Choosing the most suitable tool for a particular industrial data mining application is becoming difficult, especially for industrial decision makers whose expertise is in a different field. This paper provides a conceptual analysis of crucial features of current data mining software tools, by establishing an abstract view on typical processes in data mining. Thus a common terminology is given which simplifies the comparison of tools. Based on this analysis, objective decisions for the application of decision supporting software tools in industrial practice can be made.

W artykule została omówiona problematyka upoważnień do przetwarzania danych osobowych w świetle przepisów ogólnego rozporządzenia o ochronie danych osobowych oraz krajowych przepisów szczególnych. Przedstawiono genezę wprowadzenia obowiązku nadawania upoważnień w poprzednio obowiązujących przepisach krajowych, zaprezentowano wykładnię obecnie obowiązujących przepisów dotyczących przetwarzania danych osobowych pod nadzorem i zgodnie z instrukcjami administratora oraz ukazano wyniki analiz dotyczących krajowych przepisów szczególnych nakładających obowiązek nadawania upoważnień.
The article discusses the issue of authorizations to process the personal data in the light of the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation and specific provisions contained in the national regulations. In the article the genesis of the introduction of the obligation of authorizations in the previous national provisions is included, as well as the interpretation of the currently in force provisions regarding the processing of personal data under the authority of the controller and on instructions from the controller. Furthermore, the author presents the results of analysis of the specific national provisions concerning the obligation to grant authorizations.

The ability for manufacturing organisation to be responsive to changing market conditions is imperative for sustainable market competitiveness, and enabling self preservation. Responsive behaviour requires the incorporation of not only robust sustainable manufacturing process chains, but the functional capacity to facilitate reconfiguration and adaption. Manufacturing process chains require process monitoring and condition based monitoring systems to achieve high accuracy manufacturing systems, sustainable production capability, and resource efficiency. The focus of this research is aimed at developing a novel data interoperability architecture to enable the creation of reconfigurable process monitoring systems. To achieve reconfigurable process monitoring capability an information communication paradigm known as agent based design is reviewed, and an emerging agent based standard known as MTConnect is also reviewed. Through this research a novel data interoperability system is developed and defined to enable dynamic data acquisition for reconfigurable process monitoring. A case study is carried out to demonstrate the validity of the architecture to achieve multi data stream unification. This case study demonstrates the ability to actively condition monitor a HURCO VM2 three axis CNC machine dynamically, through the measurement of machine energy requirements and vibration, which are examples of process variables associated with condition based machine monitoring.

The digitalization of modern manufacturing systems has resulted to increasing data generation, also known as Big Data. Although there are several technologies and techniques under the term Data Analytics for gathering such data, their interpretation to information, and ultimately to knowledge remains in its infancy. Consequently, albeit engineers currently can monitor the factory level, optimization is cut off of the data acquisition, and is based on data related methodologies. The focus should be pivoted on designing and developing suitable frameworks for integrating Big Data to process optimization based on the context of information gathered from the shopfloor. This paper aims to investigate the opportunities and the gaps as well as the challenges arising in the current industrial landscape, towards the efficient utilization of Big Data, for process optimization based on the integration of semantics. To that end, a literature review is performed, and a data-based framework is presented.

A process is an ordered set of related activities taking place in a given time. Processes are present in all branches of the economy, engineering, science, etc. Due to the huge amount of data produced the rapid development of data mining techniques has been observed. Similar methods are also used in the context of processes and are called process mining. The main task of process mining is to create a process model, which is used to reason about the process and to make decisions inside it. The process model may be used to discuss responsibilities, simulations, predictions, etc. The main data structures in process mining are event logs. It is always very important to have correct data which makes creating a reliable process model possible. In this paper the basic guidelines for recording such event logs have been described and conclusions were drawn. The main focus of this research was transport problems.

Purpose: The main purpose of the article was to present the results of the analysis of the after-sales service process using data mining on the example of data gathered in an authorized car service station. As a result of the completed literature review and identification of cognitive gaps, two research questions were formulated (RQ). RQ1: Does the after-sales service meet the parameters of business process category? RQ2: Is the after-sales service characterized by trends or is it seasonal in nature? Design/methodology/approach: The following research methods were used in the study: quantitative bibliographic analysis, systematic literature review, participant observation and statistical methods. Theoretical and empirical study used R programming language and Gretl software. Findings: Basing on relational database designed for the purpose of carrying out the research procedure, the presented results were of: the analysis of the service sales structure, sales dynamics, as well as trend and seasonality analyses. As a result of research procedure, the effects of after-sales service process were presented in terms of quantity and value (amount). In addition, it has been shown that after-sales service should be identified in the business process category. Originality/value: The article uses data mining and R programming language to analyze the effects generated in after-sales service on the example of a complete sample of 13,418 completed repairs carried out in 2013-2018. On the basis of empirical proceedings carried out, the structure of a customer-supplier relationship was recreated in external and internal terms on the example of examined organization. In addition, the possibilities of using data generated from the domain system were characterized and further research directions, as well as application recommendations in the area of after-sales services was presented.

The eXtensible Event Stream (XES) format is a new approach to illustrate the process data. Every ship journey is a sequence of some activities which can be read using different sources of data such ARPA, AIS etc. So we can say that this is a kind of process and its data can be organized in ordered and simple form. The most popular data formats to show the process data were of course XML and CSV. Currently, we can observe huge progress in the domain of process mining. Every year, new tools appeared and the need for some data standard became necessary. This standard is called Extensible Event Stream. In this paper, the use of XES format in navigational data is described.

W artykule przedstawiono propozycję narzędzia zgodnego z koncepcją „Mikronarzędzi bazujących na relacyjnym modelu danych” wspomagającego proces analizy niezgodności wyrobów walcowanych. W pierwszej kolejności omówiono sam proces analizy identyfikując rodzaje raportów, które w jego trakcie są opracowywane. Na podstawie analizy problemu zaproponowano strukturę danych dla tworzonego narzędzia. Zidentyfikowane w ramach tej struktury encje zostały scharakteryzowane a powiązania pomiędzy nimi zostały przedstawione na odpowiednim diagramie związków encji. W dalszej kolejności przedstawiono sposób implementacji encji w narzędziu, w arkuszu kalkulacyjnym a następnie zaprezentowano i omówiono przykładowe rozwiązania zastosowane w celu automatycznego wygenerowania zidentyfikowanych raportów. Założoną dla narzędzia funkcjonalność uzyskano przy wykorzystaniu wbudowanych funkcji arkusza bez konieczności tworzenia kodu w jakimkolwiek języku programowania.
The aim of this article has been to propose a tool developed in accordance with a concept referred to as “Microtools based on the relational data model” used to support the process of nonconformity analysis for rolled products. The first part of the paper provides a discussion on the analysis itself, and individual types of reports created in the process have been identified. Based on a problem analysis, a specific data structure has been proposed for the tool in question. The entities identified within this structure have been characterised, and the links functioning between them have been illustrated using an adequate entity relationship diagram. Another section of the paper is focused on implementation of the entities in the tool in a spreadsheet, followed by presentation and discussion of selected examples of solutions applied for purposes of automatic generation of pre-defined reports. The target functionality assumed for the tool has been attained using built-in spreadsheet features without being forced to create a code in any programming language.

This paper measures and compares the job-finding and separation transition rates of Polish voivodeships from 2005:Q1 to 2014:Q2. It uses readily accessible data of Local Data Bank in Poland: registered unemployment person by duration of unemployment and registered unemployment rate. The method of measurement stems from influential paper by Shimer on "Reassesing the Ins and Outs of Unemployment". The main sources of variability between the rates are investigated in terms of functional principal components.
