Opis:
The primary evaluation of the economic losses caused by water pollution in Shanghai in the year 2009 is made by classifi cation approach in order to provide basis for decision of the relative water management policy. The result shows that the portion of water pollution losses in GDP of Shanghai was 2.7%, which was still lower than the average level of whole China despite of the local high population density and the scale of industry, suggesting to some extent the continuous attention in water protection paid by Shanghai government.

Opis:
The obesity crisis and health inequalities among children have directed the attention of policymakers to school-based interventions. Accordingly, the state government of North Rhine-Westphalia commissioned a pilot project amongst daily PE classes in primary schools. An evaluation study was conducted testing 520 children from seven project schools and 142 children from non-project schools over a four-year period. Body mass index (BMI) served as an indicator of the children’s health status. Further health-related aspects were measured in terms of motoric capacities. Moreover, sports club participation was measured. The results suggest that the daily PE class does not represent a universal remedy for specific health deficits. However, disadvantaged children - in particular girls - might benefit from school-based interventions.

The statistical population consisted of all primary school students in the city of Osku, who amounted to 5000 with Educational case. The number of sample chosen based on the Cochran formula was 300 people who were selected via cluster sampling method. Research findings were analyzed by statistical software of SPSS, statistical methods of independent t Test, one-way variance Test (ANOVA), Levin Test, Test of UNIANOVA. The findings revealed that there was a significant difference in students' educational achievement in terms of their hearing levels (reference to experts and healthy hearing), and also there was a significant difference in students' Educational achievement based on their eyesight levels (reference to expert and healthy eyesight). Also, there was no difference among students' Educational achievement according to various levels of health primary assessment (extreme skinniness, skinny, natural, obese and fat). Students' Educational achievement was found to be different based on their Educational talent. It was also found that there was a significant difference in students' educational achievement in terms of variables gender, eyesight, hearing evaluation.

Opis:
The primary research interest in this text is the so-called transfer phase, transcoding or reprofiling the source text into the target text. In scientific terms, this is frequently referred to as language transfer from language A to language B or codeswitching from language A to language B. In the view of empirical research, projections concerning translation knowledge and skills should be identified and defined as mental and cognitive activity of a translator or an interpreter. Projections involve reference of constructs reconceptualised in the process of reception of the source text to given constituents of the translation task and at the same time to the target language and culture as well as the reference to thematised reality and other systems and categories which are being updated in a given process of translation.

Opis:
Numerous studies indicate the role of positive emotions in subjective happiness. The diversity of positive emotions leads to the question about the relative importance of emotions of different origin: those evoked automatically (automatic emotions: homeostatic and hedonic) vs. those that arise due to deliberative thinking (reflective emotions: related to self-standards vs. general, axiological concepts of good and evil). The study was based on two assumptions: (1) human happiness depends on the gratification of universal needs; (2) the intensity and quality of happiness depend on the level of perceived importance of reflective emotions, which stem from the fulfillment of axiological standards that determine personal goals. Participants (students of the University of Warsaw; n = 67) were requested to declare their degree of happiness, and then divided into groups with low vs. high levels of happiness (LH vs. HH). Both groups estimated the importance of automatic emotions higher than that of reflective emotions. However, the HH group estimated the reflective emotions significantly higher than the LH group. Participants were also requested to the enumerate personal goals they would like to achieve, and then were divided into two groups: with low vs. high number of enumerated goals (LG vs. HG). The HG group with low estimation of reflective emotions declared the lowest degree of happiness, whereas the HG group with high estimation of reflective emotions declared the highest degree of happiness.

Opis:
Research objectives (aims) and problem(s): The aim of the article is to present the results of an evaluation study of an educational and preventive programme implemented in eight year 4 groups in six Krakow primary schools. The programme, entitled KOTWICA, ran from December 2021 to June 2022. The evaluation was external and comprehensive. During the programme, the evaluation of the process and of the outcome were carried out in the pre-test–post-test format. The research question is “what are the results of the evaluation of the KOTWICA educational and preventive programme for students of the fourth year of primary school?” Research methods: Eight proprietary tools were used to evaluate the process, and two standardised tools were used to evaluate the result. The collected material was subjected to statistical processing, whilst the qualitative data was encoded, categorised and analysed using tools for qualitative data analysis. Structure of the article: At the beginning, the authors justify the undertaking of the research and introduce the subject of the study on the basis of theoretical findings and the state of research in the field of school prevention. Then the research objectives are described and the research problem is defined. In turn, the research method, the selection criteria for the study group and the principles of data collection and processing are described. The results of the research and the limitations of the research process were also described. Finally, the conclusions of the research and recommendations for the theory and policy of school prevention are described. Research findings and their impact on the development of educational sciences: The results of the evaluation allow us to conclude that the objective of the educational and preventive programme conducted in year 4 was achieved and that it met the needs of the participants. However, they do not allow us to draw clear conclusions as to the effectiveness of the educational activities, due to the limitations of the collected research material. Conclusions and/or recommendations: In the light of the results, the authors drew conclusions regarding the methodology of evaluation studies and recommendations for preventive and educational practice.
