The school as having, after the home, the second largest impact on children and teenagers is an area of education which is becoming particularly crucial and difficult these days. The educational environment is a system of conditions which exert influence on the process and results of education. John Bosco, the founder of Salesian Society, bearing in mind the future of a young person fulfilled and carried into effect an essential educational system known also as preventive. In the hopelessness and disarray of today's world a young person needs ideas, timeless thought, as the source of resort and support which would never fail and would be found helpful in various moments in life. Wholeperson development of an individual is the most essential objective of education. In Polish conditions a Salesian school also applies the preventive system to the spirit of the time, modifying its methods according to the surroundings. The relation between the family and the school is based on reciprocal trust, in particular parents' trust who freely choose the educational project of the Catholic school. School is an essential place for a young person. Regardless of the fact that going to school is according to the adolescent's will or against it, it is indispensable in one's development. Salesian school supports the family by emphasizing its fundamental role and relation with culture and family traditions.

The Salesian Society runs several schools in Poland. They represent a significant part of Catholic schools in the national educational system. The education is characterized by the preventive system of St. John Bosco. Polish educational law offers possibilities to integrate the educational objectives set out by Fr. Bosco, and pursue them in a manner appropriate to today's time and society. This article presents the main objectives of the Salesian educational pedagogy and presents the educational records of the Polish educational law, which offers space for their appropriate implementation.

The integrated software tools are applied to the exemplary system operation cost analysis and maintenance optimization. Using the computer program CP 8.12 there is obtained the evaluation of the cost before and after the exemplary system operation process optimization and next the computer program CP 8.13 is applied for operation cost analysis of the improved exemplary system. The methods of corrective and preventive maintenance policy maximizing availability and minimizing renovation cost of the complex technical systems in variable operation conditions are illustrated for the analyzed exemplary system using equivalently the computer program CP 8.14 for maintenance policy maximizing system availability and CP 8.15 for minimizing system renovation cost.

Opis:
Nowadays we use the term ‘social exclusion’. In the times of St. John Bosco the above mentioned term was not known but still the youth was affected by that fact. In the 19th century in Italy and in Piemonte in particular the fact of social exclusion was evident among the youth. This article is aimed to portray St. John Bosco as the one who helps the young socially excluded and deprived of family life. The very first reaction of John Bosco was his creation of his oratory for the young deprived of their own home. John Bosco would extend his offer of help to the young with the passage of time. He would build schools, boarding schools, junior high schools, vocational schools and other centres of education for them. He himself also created a unique method of educating of the young called “the preventive system”. He turned to religion, love and mind of the human-being who needs assistance and family atmosphere. The author also tries to highlight the social, economic and political situation of Italy of that time which contributed to the social exclusion of the young.

Opis:
The preventive system of St. John Bosco implemented in the Salesian schools offers both educative aims and methodology for real educational processes. It is possible to affirm that such an approach is a real part of education in its methodological and practical meaning. Methodological, because it contains knowledge that helps teachers and educators to organize their actions a consistent process oriented toward an educational goal. It also allows educators to reflect on that their actions and to evaluate them according to inner criteria. It is practical because it is not a discipline with a goal to organize knowledge in a theoretical system, but rather it is oriented as a whole towards a concrete intervention and looks for results. This article presents the role of the teacher and educator in the light of the preventive system as it is implemented in schools, and the ethical and professional skills that they should acquire. The paper highlights the possibilities that the professional practice community offers educators for their own professional development.

Opis:
The content of this article is related to the issues concerning Salesian educational system. The author has outlined some possible distortions of Don Bosco’s Salesian preventive system to which an educator is exposed. First of all, the educational errors which appear while working with young people concern the dimension of entertainment. Secondly, the author mentioned the instrumental treatment of the pupils. Next, the article touches the problem of paternalism as an effect of over protective love. There is a quite frequent problem of putting to much emphasis on actions according to the formal and structural requirements at schools which results in sticking to regulations. The author finishes indicating the last two distortions: leading to negligence of individual’s full development and overstressing the religious dimension at the expense of pupil’s integral education.

Udowadnia, że przez istnienie stalinowskiej cenzury prewencyjnej ówczesnym władzom udało się przyspieszyć nacjonalizację wspomnianych sektorów wydawniczych. W artykule wykorzystano bardzo obszerny zespół archiwalny pozostały po WUKPPiW w Poznaniu, przechowywany w poznańskim Archiwum Państwowym.
Following the presentation of the organizational structure and the rules governing the performance of the local branch of the Central Office for Control of the Press, Publications and Entertainment in Poznań, the author focuses on the role of the office in the process of nationalization of private and cooperative printing and publishing sector in Poznań. The article proves that through the very existence of the preventive censorship imposed by the communists of the Stalin era, the communist authorities were in position to accelerate nationalization of the publishing sector. The source material for the article is provided by available vast and extensive records and files made at the Office for Control in Poznań currently held in the State Archives in Poznań.

The article tackles the problem of topicality of the preventive system in education that was worked out by St Giovanni Bosco (1815-1888). It tries to answer the question if also in modern times, that are so different from the epoch, in which the Apostle of Torino lived, the style of educating young people that he proposed is still valid. Will the preventive system, based on reason, religion and love, do what is expected from it, namely, can it bring up young people and make them honest citizens and good Christians also in the new social, political, cultural and ecclesial situation? Showing the meaning, topicality and the ever positive effect of Rev. Bosco’s system in modern education was based mainly on the analysis of the Document of the General Chapter of the 23rd Salesian Association Wychowanie młodzieży do wiary: dzisiejsze zadanie i wyzwanie wspólnoty salezjańskiej (Educating of young people to faith: today’s task and challenge of the Salesian order) (Krakow 1990). The Salesian way to educate people to faith as an attempt to understand Giovanni Bosco’s educational system in the modern situation leads to the statement that the preventive system translated into the original program of Christian life: “The Salesian spirituality of young people” is still a living and important offer of Christian pedagogy.

Saint John Bosco (1815-1888) always paid attention to the social aspect of his mission. The reflection, initiated during the XXIII General chapter, has as its goal renewal of the social aspect of the Salesian Charism. Hence the members of the chapter came up with the proposal of Salesian way of educating in faith and original program of Christian life: “Salesian Youth Spirituality”. The objective of this spirituality is a full growth of a young person in such a way that he/she is able to connect faith and life, immanent evaluation of his/hers own existence, participation in the life of society and finally global responsibility. This publication/reflection presents social elements of Saint John Bosco’s educational system. Its objective is to obtain the answer to the question; Is it possible to find within the preventive system, elements that can be useful in a communal formation? In order to achieve this objective/target the following community forming elements were distinguished and characterized as proposed by the Educator from Turin: oratory - as the environment of education and the experience of community; assistance - as the most appropriate educational component that included place of meeting and dialogue, as well as, family spirit which animated educational structures. There was also demonstrated the element of the educational system with leads to global responsibility for the world.

Jan Bosko dostrzegał wychowanie w szerokim kontekście rodziny, społeczeństwa, państwa i Kościoła. Był przekonany, że pozbawiony elementów religii klimat wychowawczy nie może sprzyjać ogólnemu rozwojowi młodzieży. Połączone z wymogami „rozumu” wymogi „serca” (miłość wychowawcza) i „religii” splatają się w niepowtarzalną i jedyną całość. Wychowawcza obecność w wymiarze społecznym – według słów Jana Bosko – ma zmierzać do formowania «uczciwych obywateli i dobrych chrześcijan», tzn. osób twórczych, aktywnych i odpowiedzialnych, świadomych swej godności, mających programy życia, otwartych na transcendencję, na drugich i na Boga. Zatem, w projekcie jego wychowania, nie ma sprzeczności między byciem obywatelem i byciem chrześcijaninem, bo zaangażowany chrześcijanin jest – lub powinien być – dobrym, odpowiedzialnym i uczciwym obywatelem.
John Bosco saw education in the broad context of the family, society, Church and state. He was convinced that an educational climate devo¬id of elements of religion could not favour the young person’s overall development. Combined with the requirements of “reason”, the requirements of the “heart” (educational love) and “religion” are interwoven in an inimitable and unique whole. Educational presence in the social dimension – in the words of John Bosco – is to strive for the formation of “honest citizens and good Christians”, i.e. creative, active, responsi¬ble people who are conscious of their dignity, with life plans, open to transcendence, to others, and to God. Thus, the design for his upbringing contains no contradiction between being a citizen and being a Christian, because the engaged Christians is – or should be – a good, responsible and honest citizen.

Opis:
Two major socioeconomic trends are currently changing the terrain of the elderly care – the population is ageing and the geriatric health care system is under an increasing strain. This will soon pose serious challenges for the public health system along with the state budget and family finances. Healthy ageing must become a priority objective for both the population and personal health services and to address the task will require innovative prevention programming. Despite the rising health care costs, the public health care system is poorly managed, fragmented and depersonalised. The ageing of the population means that more senior citizens will need care for longer periods of time, and the strain on the health care system will continue to intensify. Already today many health care institutions have a limited capacity to respond adequately to the needs of the ageing population. What is more, geriatric care differs from standard adult health care because it focuses on the unique needs of the elderly person. The aged body is physiologically different from the younger adult body, and in the old age the decline of various organ systems becomes more manifest.
Artykuł przedstawia sytuację osób starszych w systemie ochrony zdrowia. Stan zdrowia osób starszych charakteryzuje się wielochorobowością i przewlekłością, dlatego ich leczenie wymaga holistycznego, kompleksowego podejścia. Opieka geriatryczna jest powszechnie uznaną metodą leczenia seniorów, spełniając bowiem wymóg powszechności, wysokiej jakości, kompleksowości zaspakajania złożonych potrzeb zdrowotnych osób starszych, pozwala na zredukowanie kosztów leczenia. W polskim systemie ochrony zdrowia opieka geriatryczna jest marginalizowana, a wręcz pomijana. Istniejące rozwiązania prawne nie sprzyjają rozwojowi geriatrii, mimo że ta dziedzina medycyny uznana została za priorytetową. Artykuł porusza również problematykę profilaktyki gerontologicznej i edukacji zdrowotnej, które pozwolą przygotować się do zdrowej starości.

The 19th century in the history of Italy was very difficult and unstable. On the Italian peninsula there were numerous atrocious wars, revolutionary movements and first of all its reunion movement. The above mentioned movements as well as a process of industrialization in the country caused great poverty across the country. That had a negative influence on education of the young and schools. A great number of children and youth were not in education at all. This situation was worsened by the fact of working women in industry. These circumstances led the Italian youth astray. Many people of goodwill and institutions in the country took initiative to the bad tendency on the field of education and school. Saint John Bosco is undoubtedly one of them. He initiated work with the poor and depraved children of Turin. As a young priest, from 1841 to 1844, he took the post of chaplaincy in one of prisons of Turin, where the young offenders were placed. Working as a chaplain he came to conclusion that it is absolutely important to make everything possible to keep children away from prisons where they undergo further moral degradation. Therefore, he started to set up places and youth centres suitable for young boys where free education can be provided for them and they can obtain job qualifications. Thus St. John Bosco founded oratories, schools, educational schools, boarding schools and colleges. In order to have followers of the youth work, he brought a Society of Saint Frances de Sales into being (to work for juvenile boys) and a Society of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians (to work for juvenile girls). He also created his own system of education called the Preventive System based on mind, religion, love and assistance of the young, as well as family relations among the boys. From 1875 onwards one can notice an ongoing development of the Society of St. Frances de Sales. The Italian society, many European countries and numerous worldwide countries kept asking John Bosco to establish salesian enterprises for youth education in their countries. He had, nevertheless, some real obstacles to implement his ideas in the mentioned countries. Simply, the main problem was the lack of qualified personnel to go ahead with them. This article presents a development of the Society of St. Frances de Sales when the Rector Major was St. John Bosco.

Opis:
Przedstawiona praca ma na celu opis różnych systemów zarządzania utrzymaniem ruchu stosowanych w ostatnich latach przez czeskie przedsiębiorstwa ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem zakładów rolno-przemysłowych. W pracy główną uwagę skupiono na systemach zarządzania utrzymaniem ruchu wspieranych przez systemy informatyczne (IS) oraz na problemie ich wdrażania w przedsiębiorstwach. Użycie systemu informatycznego pomaga w tworzeniu różnych scenariuszy, przy czym nacisk kładzie się na zapotrzebowanie na instrumenty analityczne służące do integracji przetwarzanych danych w celu polepszenia wydajności systemu utrzymania ruchu oraz rozpoznawania jego słabych punktów. Podczas gdy użycie systemów informatycznych wspomagających zarządzanie utrzymaniem ruchu (ang. maintenance management information system, MMIS) jest powszechne w zakładach rolno-przemysłowych przemysłu wytwórczego, podstawowa produkcja rolna oraz obsługa maszyn rolniczych czekają jeszcze na ich wdrożenie. W artykule opisano także możliwe zastosowania MMIS w zakładach rolno-spożywczych oraz różnice w aplikacji i potencjalnym wykorzystaniu MMIS w przypadku prac w zakresie utrzymania ruchu maszyn i urządzeń rolniczych całkowicie lub częściowo zleconych firmom zewnętrznym.
The purpose of this paper is to describe different maintenance management systems being used by Czech companies with a view to the agro-industrial complex in recent years. The paper focuses on maintenance management systems supported by information system (IS) and their implementation in companies. The use of IS helps to create a variety of scenarios with an emphasis on the need for analytical instruments processing data integration in order to improve the efficiency of the maintenance system and identify its weaknesses. While the maintenance management information system (MMIS) is widespread within the agro-industrial scope in the manufacturing industry, in primary agricultural production and agricultural machinery servicing, it has yet to be utilized. The paper also describes some possible applications of MMIS in the sphere of the agro-industrial complex, the differences between their applications and the potential use of MMIS in the case of fully or partially outsourced agricultural equipment maintenance.
