    Opis:
    In accordance with the Guidelines for working out highway prefeasibility studies (made under the authority of the World Bank), it can be said traffic flows forecasting is the base for preparing of other phases of road network management. The main prerequisite for successful traffic forecasting is relevant, high-quality and reliable database. This paper deals with methods used in the frame of prefeasibility study for the Veles-Prilep highway, in order to forecast traffic flows on the base of no complete highway data. The study brings up a practical application of the Transport Strategy of the Republic of Macedonia, set to achieve the attributes determining the so called sustainable road network.
    Zgodnie z metodyką przeprowadzania analizy wykonalności dla autostrady (wykonywaną pod patronatem Banku Światowego), prognozowanie potoków ruchu jest podstawą do przygotowania kolejnych faz zarządzania ruchem drogowym. Warunkiem koniecznym dla skutecznego prognozowania ruchu jest posiadanie stosownej, wysokiej jakości i wiarygodnej bazy danych. W artykule przedstawiono metody użyte w ramach analizy wykonalności dla autostrady Veles-Prilep, zrealizowanej w celu prognozy potoków ruchu, bazując na niekompletnej bazie danych. W rozważaniach podnoszone są praktyczne aspekty zastosowania Strategii Transportowej Macedonii, w celu osiągnięcia parametrów opisujących tzw. trwałą i zrównoważoną sieć drogową.

    Opis:
    One of the most significant road structures completed in 2010 was the construction of southern part of the Bypass around Prague (BPAP), where technological equipment was designed and installed and Road Line Traffic Control system implemented. In the Czech Republic is this system is absolutely innovative and brings new organizational and regulation elements into operation. The system is primarily intended for traffic flow harmonization. It is based on usage of variable message signs to affect the traffic flow so the fluency, security and communication permeability is increased. Thank to automatic speed reduction by defined traffic data is traffic flow is more fluent, distances between vehicles are smaller and throughput of communication increases. RLTC system can identify traffic excesses on communication thanks to vehicle queue detection. All algorithms were designed and tested under project of science and research of Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, project INEP, n. CG944-033-120 (inep.eltodo.cz). In current time testing operation on BPAP and on a part of D1 Highway is proceeded. System is monitored and all functionalities are evaluated for further debugging and adaptation of system for local conditions.

    The paper is a result of a research work concerning the development of an environmentally friendly transport system - Project EMITRANSYS. The publication contains the issues of shaping the transport system, where important factor due to the aspect of sustainable development is including the external costs in transport activity. This paper presents a mathematical model of the distribution of the traffic flow in the transport network. The paper presents selected aspects of the problem of multi-variant distribution of the traffic stream on the network transport for defined scenarios for the transport system development. Traffic distribution on the network has been made due to the criterion function – external cost connected with air pollution. The paper presents modal split of traffic ecological flow for chosen scenarios of the development domestic transport system.

    Talked about a theory, based on integrity of continuous motion of a transport stream. Placing of car and its speed is in a stream - second. Principle of application of the generalized methods of design and new descriptions of the states of transport streams opens up. Travelling and transport potentials are set, and also external capacity of the system a "transport stream" is an exergy, that allows to make differential equation and decide the applied tasks of organization of travelling motion. Efficiency of application theory of waves is underlined with the new parameters of streams for management and increase of carrying capacity.

    W artykule przedstawiono wybrane zagadnienia związane z tematyką prognozowania wielkości potoków pasażerskich w transporcie kolejowym. Na wstępie przytoczono definicję oraz rolę prognozowania. W dalszej części zdefiniowano pojęcie potoku pasażerskiego w ujęciu relacyjnym oraz odcinkowym. Następnie scharakteryzowano główne etapy procesu przygotowywania prognozy, w tym możliwe sposoby podejścia do budowy modelu prognostycznego. Opisano również czynniki, które mogą być uwzględniane w modelach prognostycznych. W kolejnej części artykułu opisano przykładowe modele generowania potoków pasażerskich oraz podziału międzygałęziowego wraz z zastosowaniem. W podsumowaniu odniesiono się do problemów napotykanych przy opracowywaniu tego typu prognoz.
    The paper presents selected issues concerning forecasting levels of passenger flows in rail transport. In the introduction, definition and role of the forecasting are presented. Then, a passenger flow is defined in terms of particular connection and section of the journey route. Main stages of the forecast preparation process are characterized including methods for the possible approach to the construction of forecasting model. Factors that may be considered while preparing the forecasting model are described. As an example, a model for generating passenger flows as well as inter-branch flows together with its application. Finally, the problems to be encountered during such forecasting are addressed in the summary.
