    The paper is oriented at analysing the human ability to change in relation to Marx’s thoughts as well as thefollowers of his ideas. The aim is to try to identify the causes and premises that enable or hinder the humanability to take action to change, but also to see its possibilities. Therefore, the issues of identity, current classdivisions and the related awareness of individuals and social groups, sense of subjectivity, but also changesresulting from the development of technology will become important.     The question of discrimination, as far as it is considered in the field of philosophy, cannot be perceived as a problem which can be effectively combated. Even the most precise diagnosis of human nature will not restrain people from defining others as evil and inferior. The most universal and spacious conventions, declarations, cards or bills will not solve the problem either. They can be regarded as an example of applied philosophy at most. On the other hand, we should pose the question what the world would look like if political pragmatism were the main obligatory rule. Thus, the situation finds us between philosophical wishful thinking about a global order free from discrimination and macro – or micropolitical pragmatism.

    The technology applied to human has accentuated the protection of common rights, that envisage a legal globalization with a human face, it focuses on the process of developing the person and his values. The problem involves not only economic issues, but also cultural, ethical, religious and political, that often lead to an antinomy between the various fundamental rights guaranteed by the Constitutions. The law, un fact, as an individual expression of ethics and social responsibility, should drive economic and technological development in a truly human and inclusive dimension that assumes essential valence. In this perspective, giving that human rights derive from the dignity and worth of the person, it must be concluded that the individual is the central subject of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

    We observe very deep changes involving the family. People live in different kinds of partnerships, not only in traditional marriages. They decide to have fewer children or even not have them at all. So is the family still beneficial in post-modern society? This article discusses the contemporary determinant conditions regarding the decision to start a family. The majority of them are connected with the labour market and social processes like inividualisation, changing social ties, and decaying of cultural universe. The post-modern society does not encourage people to start families. However, people still decide to have children and to form stable partnerships. This is because having offspring and a partner will give them something of the highest importance that is invaluable in post-modern society – emotional ties and emotional fulfilment.

    Główną inspiracją do napisania niniejszego artykułu była koncepcja władzy-wiedzy Michela Foucaulta, teoria reprodukcji Pierre’a Bourdieu oraz koncepcja modernizacji refleksyjnej Ulricha Becka. Celem autorów jest analiza podstawowych pojęć oraz idei związanych z liberalnym dyskursem dotyczącym edukacji oraz reprodukcji wiedzy w społeczeństwie ponowoczesnym, odznaczającym się globalizacją wiedzy, a zarazem prywatyzacją mechanizmów poznawczych. Autorzy stawiają tezę, że wyżej wymienione procesy wiążą się w ramach odgórnego i wszechogarniającego imperatywu samorealizacji i racjonalności jednostkowej, który pozwala na przenikanie logiki zarządzania rynkiem na poziom mikromechanizmów reprodukcji podmiotowości. Rezultatem tego procesu są zmiany zachodzące we współczesnych programach edukacyjnych Unii Europejskiej i OECD. Tym samym współczesna polityka edukacyjna staje się narzędziem swoistej liberalnej polityki poznania opartej na idei rational actor, zaś system edukacji reprodukuje strukturalne urynkowienie społeczeństwa.
    The main inspiration for for this paper came from Michel Foucaulfs concept of power/knowledge, Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of reproduction and the Ulrich Beck’s concept of reflexive modernisation. Authors aim to analyse the basie notions and ideas associated with the liberał discourse on education and knowledge reproduction in the post-modern society, characterised by globalisation of knowledge and privatisation of cognitive mechanisms. The authors posit that those processes are interrelated within the top-down, omnipresent imperative of individual self-fulfilment and rationality, which allows the market- oriented governance logie to permeate the micromechanisms of the reproduction of selfhood. As a result, we witness changes in contemporary educational curricula in the EU and OECD. Therefore, the modern education policy becomes a tool of a liberał cognition policy based on the idea of a rational actor, whereas the education system reproduces the structural marketisation of the society,

    Opis:
    Ever-changing society in the global world requires modern functioning of all organizations. Uniformed services which want to properly fulfill their tasks in a knowledge-based society must participate in the process of permanent change. Apart from its basic functions, such as prevention and repression, the police also have an educational function. The mission of the Polish police in recent years has had to be redefined in the spirit of Community Policing. Contemporary police officers must actively cooperate with their local environment, becoming not only participants but also creators of changes. Recommendations resulting from the analysis of organizational and substantive conditions of changes in the area of police pedagogy made by the authors are helpful in better shaping of pedagogical culture of police officers. In the global world, the analysed experiences and presented recommendations can be implemented also in other societies.
    Ciągle zmieniające się ponowoczesne społeczeństwo w globalnym świecie wymaga sprawnego funkcjonowania wszystkich organizacji. Służby mundurowe chcące właściwie wypełniać swoje zadania w społeczeństwie opartym na wiedzy muszą uczestniczyć w procesie permanentnych zmian. Poza podstawowymi funkcjami takimi jak prewencyjna i represyjna, policja pełni także funkcję edukacyjną. Misja polskiej policji w ostatnich latach musiała zostać przedefiniowana w duchu Comunity Policing. Współcześni funkcjonariusze policji muszą aktywnie współpracować ze swoim środowiskiem lokalnym, stając się nie tylko uczestnikami, ale także kreatorami zmian. Rekomendacje wynikające z dokonanej przez autorów analizy organizacyjnych i merytorycznych uwarunkowań zmian w obszarze pedagogizacji policji stanowią pomoc w lepszym kształtowaniu kultury pedagogicznej.

    This article examines migration trends in contemporary Estonia, focusing on migrant movements, legal regulations applying to migrants and national policies dealing with migration. Estonia is a multi-ethnic country in which both immigration and emigration occur on a considerable scale; consequently, understanding migration patterns and trends is particularly important. Historical factors have influenced Estonian society in a way which has necessitated the implementation of integration programmes and strategies aimed at social consolidation. The article features an analysis of the main changes in migration movements in Estonia since it gained independence and presents contemporary tendencies.

    Opis:
    The paper shows the phenomenon of popular culture against the background of modern society. The latter society, in view of its properties, constitutes perfect conditions for the development of the culture in question. The variety of bits of information „floating” through modern society, the large number of principles, values, attitudes or life styles make up a mirror in which the „image” of popular culture is reflected. The paper turns our attention to specific processes and phenomena characteristic of today society. Accordingly, popular culture has this particular shape. The paper stresses the role of modern society in shaping popular culture, and shows that there is an obvious relationship between the two phenomena. Besides, it makes us aware that popular culture is not a phenomenon isolated from reality, or a phenomenon which is „beyond us”. Rather, it is something that we, more or less consciously, create and in which we participate.
