    The article presents the author’s considerations relating to the current and common problem of multiculturalism. Nowadays “multiculturalism” can be defined as co-existence – in the determined physical, social and political sphere as well as in a concrete historical period of time – of many ethnic groups representing different axiological and normative systems. The social created by multiplicity of ethnic groups is very often a result of migration processes which totally formed such states as Canada or Australia. The sources of the European multiculturalism were, on the one hand, the officially accepted workforce as Federal Republic of Germany, on the other one – immigration being the effect of the colonial past of such states as France, Holland or Britain. All these countries took up more or less advanced actions towards being able to deal with the deepening ethnic diversification. There appeared political project – multiculturalism.

    Launched in the early 1960s, the global debate on ecology involves attempts both to adequately define the concept of ecology, and to effectively solve ecological problems. The former aims at a correct diagnosis of the current ecological threats to humanity, and the latter at proposing appropriate ecological strategies that would take into account mankind’s civilizational aspirations and ensure stable and sustained growth. From the beginning, the debate had palpable political undertones manifested in the development of political concepts and strategies for individual countries, regions, and continents, and also for humanity as a whole. Within the debate, the broadly conceived postulate of partnership between man and his natural environment was adopted as the basis for proposing and implementing a programme of global partnership of economy and ecology, or in other words as a political aspiration of “reconciling the inseparable demands of healthy environment and healthy economy for all the nations in the world”. The proponents of this programme thus aim to reaffirm the credibility of politics, which should be understood not only as the art of achieving and wielding power, but also as the art of safeguarding human existence in a world under threat.

    Opis:
    The article focuses on the concept of energy diplomacy. It was proved that the European vector of Russia’s current foreign policy is characterized by an ability to use the energy factor as a tool of power and impact to promote and consolidate the Kremlin’s geopolitical interests in Europe. This article reviewed the political technologies of Russian energy diplomacy in the European space such as uncompromising position during negotiations and predetermined before achieving the results, political exchange, technology of “surprise effect”, barbell strategy, pipeline diplomacy, suppression of competitor and others. The issue of EU–Russian energy conflict communication is in the centre of research. It was analyzed the algorithm of Russia’s actions positioning itself as an energy superpower in building up the socalled system of power relationship on the Eurasian continent. It was presented in the article possible options for European states’ effective countering energy expansionism of Russia.
    Статья посвящена концепции энергетической дипломатии. Было доказано, что Европейский вектор внешней политики России характеризуется способ- ностью использовать энергетический фактор как инструмент власти и влия- ния для развития и укрепления геополитических интересов Кремля в Европе. В статье рассмотрены политические технологии энергетической диплома- тии России в европейском пространстве, такие как бескомпромиссная по- зиция в ходе переговоров и предопределенные для достижения результаты, политический обмен, технология “неожиданного эффекта”, стратегия штанг, трубопроводная дипломатия, запугивание конкурентов и другие. Вопрос европейско-российской конфликтной коммуникации в области энергети- ки в центре данного исследования. Проанализирован алгоритм позициони- рования действий России как энергетической сверхдержавы в построении так называемой системы властных отношений на Евразийском континен- те. В статье представлены возможные варианты эффективного противодей- ствия энергетическому экспансионизму России со стороны европейских го- сударств.
