Opis:
A work with the modelling material is incorporated in the framework education programme even for the nursery school and also for primary schools. The modelling material is incorporated there for the purpose of the output (managing the hand and eye coordination, managing the fine motor skills). The character of the material, incorporation of a working process, aids and tools for modelling is important in the primary school. Thanks to the characters of the modelling masses (material, variety of colours/colouring) are all these outputs fully supported. We deal with different types of modelling doughs and with their possibilities of the use in primary schools and with creativity testing of children.

Opis:
The paper presents experimental- model research results on the process of cross-wedge rolling of an axially-symmetrical element (stepped shaft). During research plastic mass on the basis of waxes in black and white colour was used. The aim of this experimental research was to determine the best option of forming in terms of values obtained and the course of forces. Physical examination was carried out using specialist machines, i.e. model and a laboratory cross-wedge rolling mill. Experimental analysis was carried out using billets with the temperature of 15°C, whereas the actual process was carried out for billet from C45 carbon steel of temperature 1150°C. The study compared the dimensions of the components obtained during rolling tests and forming forces obtained in the result of physical modeling with forces obtained during real tests.

Opis:
The study presents the results of laboratory testing of the phenomenon of cracking in the process of cross rolling. A new method of determining the critical value of the damage function was developed, in which a disc-shaped sample is subjected to rotational compression in a channel. In this method the Mannesmann effect was used. The laboratory tests were conducted for C45, 50HS and R260 grade steel in the temperature range 950°C-1150°C. In order to research various methods of simulating the phenomenon of cracking in the process of cross rolling, physical modelling was also employed. The model material was commercial plasticine, cooled to the temperature 0°C-20°C. Comparing the test results for both the real and model material allowed one to determine the range of the forming temperature for the model material, in which the cracking process is similar to the case of the real material.

Opis:
The paper presents and compares the results of theoretical and experimental research in the field of cracking of model material (commercial plasticine) and C45 steel in hot forming conditions. The aim of the research was to determine the limit values of the CockroftLatham integral for both materials. The presented research methodology includes experimental tests (tensile tests) and numerical simulations carried out in the DEFORM-3D program. For laboratory tests, axially symmetric samples made of C45 steel and model material were used. On the basis of the obtained experimental and numerical results, a comparative analysis of both materials was carried out.
