Opis:
This article examines the possibilities of improving the ecological condition of small rivers on the example of the upper part of the Prut River in the vicinity of Yaremche (Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine). The previously published data of the article authors and other researchers that the amount of pollutants in river water in this area has increased, in particular, phosphorus compounds, has been confirmed. It was shown that the incompletely purified wastewaters of Yaremche, which contains an excess of phosphate ions, has a significant impact on this fact. On the basis of their own previous research and current work, the authors propose removing these ions using a natural sorbent based on bentonite, activated by microwaves in various ways. Experiments have shown that microwave activation of this sorbent increases the coefficient of phosphate ions extraction from wastewater significantly higher compared to natural bentonite. An approximate technological scheme of wastewater purification from excess phosphates after the main standard purifying cycle was suggested.

Opis:
Carbonate fluorapatite (francolite), calcite and dolomite separately, as well as their model mixtures, were subjected to flotation after conditioning the particles with microemulsion consisting of 20% of Custafloat AR27 (collector, blend of fatty acid soaps and sulfates), 55% fuel oil #5 and 25% water at 70% solids density and subsequent pulp dilution with water to 25% solids. The best separation of carbonate fluorapatite from calcite and dolomite occurred at pH 8.5 and microemulsion dose between 0.9 and 1.5 kg/Mg, 1.5 min conditioning time and 2 minutes of flotation time. The obtained flotation concentrates using 1.5 kg/Mg of collector contained 84% carbonate fluorapatite (34% P2O5) with 84% recovery. The 84/84 separation efficiency in terms of grade-recovery indices points to promising results which can be obtained for real phosphate ores.

Opis:
Monostarch phosphates were obtained from potato wheat and triticale starch. They were converted into monostarch hydrogen phosphates whose, physico-chemical properties were studied. The decrease of viscosity and increase of reducibility of the hydrogen forms of starch phosphates are accounted for by autohydrolysis, the course ofwhich depends on the origin of starch.
3) w stosunku do wyjściowych fosforanów skrobiowych.

Opis:
Synthesis and characterization of the aluminum phosphates modified with ammonium, calcium and molybdenum were conducted. The influence of process parameters (reactive pressure and molar ratios) in the reaction mixture were studied. The contents of the individual components in the products were in the range of: 10.97–17.31 wt% Al, 2.65–13.32 wt% Ca, 0.70–3.11 wt% Mo, 4.36–8.38 wt% NH3, and 35.12–50.54 wt% P2O5. The materials obtained in the experiments were characterized by various physicochemical parameters. The absorption oil number was in the range from 67 to 89 of oil/100 g of product, the surface area was within the range of 4–76 m2/g, whereas the average particle size of products reached 282–370 nm. The Tafel tests revealed comparable anticorrosive properties of aluminum phosphates modified with ammonium, calcium, molybdenum in comparison with commercial phosphate.

Opis:
The Dojlidy Ponds, which include Dojlidy water dam, are located within Bialystok city limits in Podlasie area, Poland. The reservoir with a water surface of 34 ha and average depth of 1.75 m was constructed in 1962 as a result of Biala River damming. The researches were conducted in July, October and December 2014 as well as in March 2015. Each time five test samples were collected from spots located along the reservoir. Water samples were tested for the presence of ammonia nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, organic nitrogen, phosphates and organic phosphorus. The values of nutrient indicators exhibited high variability during the study period. The highest concentration of nitrite and nitrate nitrogen were observed in July, while the lowest in October – nitrite nitrogen, and in December – nitrate nitrogen. Different situation was observed after the analysis of phosphorus forms – the highest concentrations of organic phosphorus and phosphates were observed in December and the lowest in July. Relatively high concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorus forms identified in water samples were most likely caused by tributaries, due to the pollution from the reservoir catchment. Technical parameters of the object and location of the reservoir have undoubtedly an impact on the tested parameters contents.

Opis:
The formation of accessory phosphates in granites reflects many chemical and physical factors, including magma composition, oxidation state, concentrations of volatiles and degree of differentiation. The geotectonic setting of granites can be judged from the distribution and character of their phosphates. Robust apatite crystallization is typical of the early magmatic crystallization of I-type granitoids, and of late magmatic stages when increased Ca activity may occur due to the release of anorthite from plagioclase. Although S-type granites also accumulate apatite in the early stages, increasing phosphorus in late differentiates is common due to their high ASI. The apatite from the S-types is enriched in Mn compared to that in I-type granites. A-type granites characteristically contain minor amounts of apatite due to low P concentrations in their magmas. Monazite is typical of S-type granites but it can also become stable in late I-type differentiates. Huttonite contents in monazite correlate roughly positively with temperature. The cheralite molecule seems to be highest in monazite from the most evolved granites enriched in B and F. Magmatic xenotime is common mainly in the S-type granites, but crystallization of secondary xenotime is not uncommon. The formation of the berlinite molecule in feldspars in peraluminous melts may suppress phosphate precipitation and lead to distributional inhomogeneities. Phosphate mobility commonly leads to the formation of phosphate veinlets in and outside granite bodies. The stability of phosphates in the superimposed, metamorphic processes is restricted. Both monazite-(Ce) and xenotime-(Y) are unstable during fluid-activated overprinting. REE accessories, especially monazite and allanite, show complex replacement patterns culminating in late allanite and epidote formation.
