    Although reflection on the nature of philosophy has constituted an integral part of this discipline from its beginnings, the term „metaphilosophy” referring to such a reflection only made its first appearance in the middle of the twentieth century. In the course of discussions concerning the book by C.J. Ducasse about the subject-matter and method of philosophy, the term was introduced in the United States by C.G. Hempel and M. Lazerowitz, and in Poland by M. Choynowski. Subsequently, two different metaphilosophical programs, which disseminated this category, were put forward by Lazerowitz and J. Kalinowski. They had dissimilar objectives and assumptions, though for both of them a crucial problem was the diversity of philosophical conceptions and persistent disagreements in philosophy.

    The article presents the background of the texts included in this issue of SGEGE that resulted from an experimental workshop on democracy. The didactic innovation implemented during the event consisted in enhancing the traditional forms of teaching philosophy (seminar and lecture) with a practical module based on the Betzavta methodology of democratic education. In the first part of the article, a general description of the project is provided. Then follows a presentation of its topic, the reasons for choosing it and the theoretical problems behind it. Next, the organization and methodology of the project are briefly described. In the end, the results of the project are presented together with a short summary of the texts of this volume of the journal.

    Metaphilosophy as a research discipline is concerned with the overall metatheoretical reflection of philosophy on its own subject matter, assumptions, methodology, and goals guiding this form of human intellectual activity. The aim of this article is to present a cross-sectional analysis of the main stages in the historical development of this discipline, and offer a general characterization of the current state of research. The means to achieving this goal of study is a confrontation between two partly competitive and partly complementary paradigmatic approaches to metaphilosophical reflection which currently determine a relatively wide range of interests in this theoretically promising and heuristically fertile field of philosophical analysis.

    The purpose of the work is to establish the methodological foundations of the study of the essence of the category «administrative act». In the course of the research it was established that the methodological component is a set of research methods by which science achieves its fundamental goal - the acquisition and formation of new knowledge about the studied phenomena and processes. It is emphasized that the arsenal of scientific methods used in administrative law is extremely wide and includes both empirical methods - measure ment, observation, comparison - and purely theoretical. It was found that the administrative act, being the main form of activity of public authorities, is the basic, central concept of the science of administrative law; which is correlated with many other administrative and legal categories (administrative procedure, public-power relations, etc.). Based on the presence of polysemantic research links of the studied category with other administrative and legal institutions, the difficulty of choosing the appropriate methodological basis is emphasized, which requires a comprehensive approach to the choice of scientific tools of various theoretical constructions. Taking into account the established tradition in administrative and legal research, the expediency of using a three-level methodological model of scientific knowledge of the essence of the concept of administrative act, consisting of philosophical, general and special legal levels. It is concluded that the high heuristic potential of dialectical and systemic approaches is characterized by the possibility of considering the system of administrative law, which is an administrative act, on several levels: as a subsystem of society, as a component of modern law, as a separate system. It is emphasized that depending on the objectives of the study, their refinement and specification in the course of analytical work, the optics of the system approach can be changed, relatively speaking, by scaling the individual elements of the system as objects of study.

    W opracowaniu zostały przedstawione zmiany w metodologii nauk ekonomicznych ukazane w kontekście zmian zachodzących w filozofii nauki. Przegląd zmian w metodologii ekonomii dokonany został z uwzględnieniem znaczenia cezury przypadającej na lata 70./80. Wskazano na możliwe przyczyny tych zmian i ich skutki dla ekonomii. I tak w pierwszej części ukazane są zmiany w metodologii ekonomii do lat 70., w drugiej przedstawiono rolę przełomu w latach 70. i 80. i jego znaczenie dla dalszych zmian, które analizowane są w części trzeciej. W końcowej części ukazane są tendencje w rozwoju ekonomii oraz zarysowana zostaje wizja ekonomii przyszłości.
    The paper presents the discussion on changes in methodology of economic sciences in the context of changes within philosophy of science. The review of changes in methodology of economy considers the significance of 1970s and 1980s, indicating the likely reasons for the changes and their effects for economy. And thus, the first part of the paper presents the changes in methodology till 1970s, the second one discusses the role of the 1970s-1980s breakthrough and its role in further changes analysed in the third part. The final part of the paper focuses on trends in the development of economy and envisages the economy of the future.

    The bricolage as philosophical inquiry is a critical-constructivist research perspective proposed by Joe L. Kincheloe. It’s practical implementation assumes the use of various philosophical tools to help clarify the process of inquiry and provide insight into the assumptions on which it conceptually rests (Kincheloe, 2008). The considerations undertaken in this article are aimed at the characteristic of the philosophical and methodological assumptions that co-create it. Their reflective reception determines the possibility of a reliable use of the bricolage in the practice of academic research. The undertaken reconstruction was directed by the following research question: What epistemological – ontological – methodological preconditions make up the practice of research using the bricolage, in line with Kincheloe’s concept? Its material basis was the collection of books and articles listed in the bibliography. A detailed, though certainly not exhaustive answer to the research problem posed is presented in three thematically separated parts of the article. In chapters one and two, I describe the epistemology and ontology of complexity. In chapter three, I draw attention to an active view of research methodology. The contents presented in the article, although thematically arranged, intertwine, leading to the representation of selected aspects of the bricolage.
    Bricolage jako dociekanie filozoficzne to krytyczno-konstruktywistyczna perspektywa badawcza zaproponowana przez Joe L. Kincheloe. Jej praktyczna implementacja opiera się na wykorzystywaniu różnych narzędzi filozoficznych w celu wyjaśnienia procesu dociekania i zapewniania wglądu w założenia, na których opiera się on koncepcyjnie (Kincheloe, 2008). Rozważania podejmowane w tym artykule zmierzają do charakterystyki współtworzących bricolage przedzałożeń filozoficzno-metodologicznych. Ich refleksyjna recepcja warunkuje bowiem możliwość rzetelnego wykorzystywania tej perspektywy w praktyce badań naukowych. Dokonaną rekonstrukcją kierowało następujące pytanie badawcze: Jakie przedzałożenia epistemologiczno-ontologiczno-metodologiczne składają się na praktykę badań wykorzystujących bricolage, zgodnie z koncepcją Kincheloe? Materialną podstawę rozważań wyznacza zbiór zestawionych w bibliografii książek oraz artykułów. Szczegółową, choć z całą pewnością niewyczerpującą odpowiedź na postawiony problem badawczy przedstawiam w trzech tematycznie wydzielonych częściach artykułu. W rozdziałach pierwszym oraz drugim dokonuję charakterystyki epistemologii i ontologii złożoności. W rozdziale trzecim zwracam z uwagę na aktywną wizję metodologii. Zaprezentowane w artykule treści, choć tematycznie uporządkowane, przenikają się wzajemnie, prowadząc do reprezentacji wybranych aspektów bricolage.

    Wprowadzenie wyjaśniające do tematu wojen i konfliktów zbrojnych jako czynników kształtujących ład międzynarodowy odnosi się do zasadniczej terminologii i problematyki, z uwzględnieniem ich przedmiotu, zakresu znaczeniowego i kontekstu narracyjnego. Dotyczy to takich zjawisk i faktów historycznych jak wojna, konflikt, sztuka wojenna, walka, pokój, ład międzynarodowy, przełomy i cykle hegemoniczno/geopolityczne, które są najczęściej definiowane i przyjmowane przez pryzmat poszczególnych dyscyplin naukowych, m.in. historii, socjologii, prawa, politologii, stosunków międzynarodowych i wojskowości. Zatem nie stanowią domeny doświadczeń stricte militarnych. Odwieczna wykładnia określa bowiem wojnę jako narzędzie i środek do osiągnięcia politycznego celu jakim jest pożądany pokój. Konflikty międzynarodowe zaś występują tu głównie nie jako podrzędne wobec wojny starcia militarne, a jako kategorie niezgodności między stronami dążącymi do dominacji religijnej, etnicznej, gospodarczej, społecznej itp. Postrzeganie zjawiska pokoju zdeterminowane kantowskim "wiecznym pokojem" należałoby natomiast interpretować jako okresy geopolityczne/hegemoniczne, wyznaczane osiągnięciami militarnymi dla utrzymania lub zdobycia dominacji (władzy, panowania).
    An introduction explaining the character of wars and armed conflicts as factors shaping the international order refers to the basic terminology and the main issues, including their subject, their scope of meaning and their narrative context. It deals with such phenomena and historical facts as war, conflict, military art, fight, peace, international order, turning points, and geopolitical/hegemonic cycles. They are most frequently defined and accepted from the angle of particular scientific disciplines, among other things history, sociology, law, political science, international relations, and military science. As a result, they do not fall only into the domain of military questions. An old interpretation of war is that it is a tool and means to achieve the political aim, which is peace. International conflicts are interpreted here not as military confrontations subordinate to war, but as categories of incompatibility between the sides that aspire to a dominance of some type: religious, ethnic, economic, social, and the like. On the other hand, the perception of the phenomenon of peace determined by Kant’s perpetual peace should be interpreted as political/hegemonic periods, marked by military achievements to maintain or acquire dominance (of power).
