Terapeutyczny dyskurs czyni to na wiele sposobów, między innymi, zapośrednicza akt przełomu i alternatywny rozwój, który produkuje sens relacji, pielęgnowanie więzi i czyni możliwym patyczne ciągłości doświadczenia, rzeczywiście tak, jak one wchodzą w pierwotny strumień życia. Proces ten ma zatem charakter “doświadczeniowy”. Jest to doświadczenie ucieleśnione i bezpośrednio odczuwane.W terapeutycznym, pełnym wydarzeń procesie badane są unikalne i wspólne sposoby in terpretacji, tak jak one kształtują relacje z innymi i z każdym z osobna. To, co pojawia się w wyniku terapeutycznej bliskości i w strukturze spotkania, staje się istotnym impulsem do zmiany życiowej aktywności. Poddano analizie i dyskusji następujące zagadnienia: (1) terapeutyczna obecność jako facylitująca narratywne rozumienie Ja klienta, (2) doświadczanie terapeutycznego spotkania z własnym, niepowtarzalnym Ja, (3) rozmowa z Giną: odnajdywanie sensu niepełnej egzystencji, (4) pielęgnowanie więzi źródłem energii i oparcia. Pojawiają się dawno oczekiwane momenty transcenencji, wychodzenia poza, kontaktowania innych jako przeobrażające i prawdziwie poszerzające Ja.

This research is the content analysis of 502 Erasmus students’ experiences published in the website www.20erasmus.eu. One of the main purposes of the Erasmus Student Exchange Program is to maintain across-cultural dialogue through student activity, to remove preju-dices and thus to strengthen interaction and join EU citizens under such concepts as “Euro-pean Consciousness” and “Being European”. The purpose of this study is to determine how successful the Erasmus Student Exchange Program is through the shared Erasmus expe-riences of the participating students. in conclusion, in this research, it is observed that the students talked highly positively about the Erasmus experience. The students described this process as enjoyable and produc-tive. it could be argued that the Erasmus experience contributed to students’ “individual development” rather than “academic development”. it could also be maintained that one of the key purposes of the Erasmus exchange program is to remove prejudices by mainta-ining student mobility and cross-cultural dialogue and to unite societies under the European Consciousness and European People understanding via strengthening interactions between EU member citizens. Data collected in this research present evidence that the Erasmus pro-gramme has reached this aim.

The essay is concerned with the relation between sociological and literary aspects of autobiographical writing. Personal documents analysis appears as a diverse space where tools taken from literary and sociological theory can coexist and create new, useful categories of interpretation – life of single person and societies. Theories of narrative identities, experience as category of reading, writing and interpreting autobiographies (written by professional and nonprofessional authors), indispensable contexts become more visible thanks to possibilities arised by using mixed socio-literary methods. The most important aim of this text is to show how connections between two humanistic branches emphasize the versatility of autobiographical pact.

W niniejszym artykule przedstawiam transgresje osobiste osób dorosłych, które mogą pojawić się w instytucjonalnej sytuacji edukacyjnej i poradniczej. Tematy zajęć dydaktycznych związane z profesjonalnym pomaganiem i rozmowy poradnicze na temat kierunków i sposobów dokonywania zmian w życiu stają się źródłem doświadczeń transgresyjnych niektórych studentów i prawie wszystkich radzących się dorosłych. Prezentuję rodzaje transgresji osobistych i procesy związane z ich doświadczaniem.
In the following article I would like to present personal transgressions of adults that may happen in educational and counselling situation. Subject areas of classes connected with professional helping and counselling, concerning directions and methods of making changes in life, are becoming a source of transgressive experience for some students and almost all counselled adults. I am presenting present different kinds of personal transgression and processes connected with experiencing them.

Searching for the Smells of the Past – Affective Memory in Novels by Marcel Proust Marcel Proust’s epic work In Search of Lost Time (Remembrance of Thing Past) shows an innovative way of practicing literature as the artist’s struggle with time. This series of works, earning the author a place in the literary pantheon, depicts the writer’s desire to rediscover intensity with which he used to experience sensory stimuli and his wish to return to the happy times of his childhood and youth. This explains the special role of emotional memory that characterises Proust’s monumental work. The complex perceptual and cognitive mechanism of the narrator becomes the keynote of the work, which is saturated with smells of the past, with a clear dominance of subjective perception and description of the remembered events.

Marek Hendrykowski’s study is concerned with the close-reading analysis and interpretation of the Autobus (1955–1961) oil on canvas painted by Bronisław Wojciech Linke. This masterpiece of Polish peinture of the 1950s is deeply related to history and conditions of human life in Poland and other East European countries after World War II where everyday life is based on ideology imposed on society. Linke’s peinture gives emblematic ironic image of it created as an anti-social realist protest based on paradigm of Polish culture and art of the period.

The paper discusses the complexities of the professional training of music teachers in the system of continuous education. The formation of future professionals is considered on the basis of the subject-object interaction. The purpose of education is to improve the scope of continuous education; this will expedite the formation of the teaching staff capable of carrying out professional activities according to the democratic and humanistic principles. The implementation of the education policy is the priority function of the state aimed at the development and self-actualization of the individual. It is proven that the implementation of the competence approach in continuous education helps to ensure educational needs of individuals including: (1) flexible general education; (2) general cultural and research training for the future music teachers; (3) improvement of their social security in the labor market; and, (4) integration into the global educational and artistic community.

Opis:
Based on the author’s existential narrative approach, this paper presents some seman - tic axes and individual ways of encoding existential experiences. The author proves that individuals take two narrative approaches to their life. They either focus their attention on themselves or on the events occurring in their life and their achievements. Different versions of biographical texts, which reflect the subject’s basic purposes, meanings, senses and values depend on the selected position and semantic encod - ing (the narrative actions code, hermeneutical code, code of culture, semantic code, symbolic code). In the first case, the subject’s personal life is described with the use of such concepts as ‘Myself as a narrative system’, ‘Myself as a life-creating system’, ‘Myself as a micro-cultural system’, ‘Myself as a semantic system’ and ‘Myself as a symbolic system’. In the second case, the following concepts are used: ‘My life as a chain of significant events’, ‘My life as an awareness of authenticity’, ‘My life as a self-presentation’, ‘My life as a self-personification’ or ‘My life as a creation of individual mythology’
W ramach podejścia do narracji egzystencjalnej w artykule opisane są osie semantyczne i indywidualne sposoby kodowania doświadczeń egzystencjalnych. Wykazano, że w sto - sunku do swojego życia człowiek może mieć dwie pozycje narracji: pierwsza skupia jego uwagę na sobie i swoim wewnętrznym „Ja”; druga – na wydarzeniach z drogi życiowej człowieka, jego celów życiowych itd. („Życie”). W zależności od pozycji zajmowanej przez człowieka kodowanie tekstu w opisach własnego życia ( kod działania, kod hermeneutyczny, kod kultury, kod semantyczny, kod symboliczny) może tworzyć różne wersje biografii, które odzwierciedlają cele, znaczenie i wartość osoby badanej. W pierwszej sytuacji rzeczywistość życia osoby opisuje się przez użycie pojęć „Ja jako system narracji”, „Ja jako kreatywność życia”, „Ja jako system mikrokultury”, „Ja jako system semantyczny” i „Ja jako system symboliczny”; w drugiej – za pomocą pojęć „Moje życie jako łańcuch wydarzeń”, „Moje życie jako stworzenie autentyczności”, „Moje życie jako prezentacja siebie”, „Moje życie jako stworzenie indywidualnej mitologii” itd.

Opis:
The main goal of my research on self-improvement of teachers based on their professional and connected with their implementation of vocation experiences is to show the complexity and ambiguity of the nature of the teacher in the modern world. The challenge, which I am undertaking, is to develop an appropriate methodology, allowing to catch and describe the influence of life experience on the formation of a mature personal identity among teachers. The presented work is only the seed for „forging” of these ways to approach a particular kind of experience, to which I refer; this situation is obvious in the case studies of each particular existence in the hope of extract specific contents. It turns out that my interlocutors: school teacher, academic teacher and teacher-priest are extremely dedicated to their mission of offering advice and help, and especially appropriate inspiring with their own example. The most important conclusion from my research is ascertainment that every true teacher is at firs an individual entity with their personal history and the experiences what cannot be generalized.
Głównym założeniem moich badań dotyczących samodoskonalenia nauczycieli, na podstawie ich doświadczeń zawodowych oraz związanych z realizacją powołania, jest ukazanie złożoności i zarazem niejednoznaczności charakteru nauczyciela we współczesnym świecie. Wyzwaniem, jakie podejmuję, jest wypracowanie odpowiedniej metodologii, pozwalającej ująć i opisać wpływ życiowego doświadczenia na formowanie się dojrzałej tożsamości osobowej wśród nauczycieli. Prezentowana praca jest zalążkiem „wykuwania się” tych sposobów ujęcia szczególnego rodzaju doświadczeń, o których piszę; tak też jest w przypadku badania każdej szczególnej egzystencji w nadziei na wydobycie konkretnych treści. Okazuje się, że badane osoby: nauczycielka szkoły średniej, nauczyciel akademicki i nauczyciel duchowny są niezwykle oddane swojej misji służenia radą i pomocą, szczególnie zaś właściwym inspirowaniem swoim przykładem. Najważniejszym wnioskiem, jaki płynie z moich badań, jest stwierdzenie, że każdy prawdziwy nauczyciel jest przede wszystkim indywidualną jednostką ze swą osobistą historią i z doświadczeniami, których nie sposób generalizować.

The author considers the issue of time in Jan Szczepański’s works in comparison to the issue in contemporary sociology. She analyses the role of personal experiences as an important inspiration in research into the time issue. She presents the ‘fantasies’ that are typical of Jan Szczepański’s approach to the subject, and the idea of varieties of time, with the associated interdisciplinary view. She writes that Jan Szczepański understands time as a devastating force and ‘dealing with time’ in connection with transience as one of the essential human tasks.

The present research investigated the perception of the flood threat and willingness of inhabitants of regions experiencing regular severe floods to take preventive actions.Residents of two type of regions were compared: those living in a region protected by flood levees vs. residents living unprotected regions. Inhabitants of the area protected by the levees resulting in the rare experience of flood, perceived probability of flood as lower and  reported higher willingness to take preventive actions than inhabitants of the area unprotected by levees. Similarly as in many previous studies personal experience and social norms turned out to be crucial factors in determining self-protective behavior. On the other hand unlike in other studies, we found no relationship between decision makers’ willingness to take preventive actions and factors related to threat appraisal, such as the perceived magnitude of loss and the perceived probability of damage. Finally, we found that the impact of a given factor on willingness to protect oneself against a hazard may depend on the kind of measure of the protective behavior

Zapisy wspomnień (np. pamiętniki, dzienniki, listy) jako najlepsze źródło danych biograficznych w socjologii „złoty wiek” mają już za sobą. Od początku lat 80. zeszłego stulecia liczba ogłaszanych konkursów na materiały autobiograficzne dramatycznie się zmniejszyła. W kontekście współczesnych przemian społecznych, demokratyzacji form zapisu i związanego z tym rozwoju „wyobraźni socjologicznej”, istnieje potrzeba „odświeżenia” refleksji o wybranych elementach metody dokumentów osobistych, która na świecie jest rozpoznawana za sprawą między innymi Floriana Znanieckiego. Ta refleksja dotyczy trojakiego rodzaju zagadnień. Po pierwsze, etycznego uwikłania opisów fenomenologicznych w potoczne i naukowe interpretacje; po drugie, doświadczeniowych i refleksyjnych cech aktu zapisu, charakteryzującego zarówno badanych, jak i badaczy; po trzecie, możliwości procedury mapowania zapisów autobiograficznych z wykorzystaniem map mentalnych (concept maps). Te zagadnienia zostały w artykule przedstawione w odniesieniu do literatury socjologicznej i niesocjologicznej, bowiem społeczne zakorzenienie praktyk piśmiennych przekracza granice dyscyplin. Elastyczność, otwartość i prostota procedury mapowania uwrażliwia teoretyków, jak i praktyków spoza środowiska akademickiego na obecne możliwości opisu zakorzenienia doświadczeń człowieka w rozwarstwionych, ale uporządkowanych obszarach życia codziennego.
The golden age of memories recorded in written form (e.g., memoirs, diaries, letters) as the best source of biographical information in sociology has come to an end. Since the early 1980s, the number of contests for autobiographical documents has rapidly decreased. In the context of modern social changes, democratization of forms of written record, and the related development of “sociological imagination” there arises a need to “refresh” reflections on several elements of the method of personal documents, which is recognized worldwide thanks to, among others, Florian Znaniecki. This reflection concerns three categories of issues. First, the ethical involvement of phenomenological descriptions in casual and scientific interpretations; second, experience-related and reflective features of an act of creating a record, characteristic for both the researched and the researchers; third, the procedure of mapping written autobiographical records with the use of concept maps. These issues are presented in the article in relation to sociological and non-sociological literature, as social grounding of writing acts crosses disciplinary boundaries. Flexibility, openness, and simplicity of the mapping procedure make both theorists and practitioners from outside the university milieu aware of present possibilities of describing the grounding of human experience in multi-tier but ordered spheres of everyday life.

This text contains a comparative analysis of gentry and peasant narratives about the agricultural reform conducted in Poland on the basis of the Polish Committee of National Liberation’s decree of September 6, 1944. The author sought these narratives in personal documents such as diaries, memoirs, works sent to memoir competitions, and oral history interviews. An analysis of the documents revealed, above all, an asymmetry between the narratives of the gentry and the peasants. For the former, the reform was a key biographical event, while in most of the peasant narratives it was marginal, particularly in the context of other elements of the experience of war and occupation. The points of convergence, in terms of what members of the peasantry and gentry write or say about the reform, are few. Moreover, while the peasants always appear in the narratives of the gentry, the gentry appear much more rarely in the narratives of the peasants. The narratives of the gentry are fairly cohesive and it would seem that they have become the basis for the creation of a collective memory of the gentry as a group. The peasant narratives are quite diverse. Their shape is the outcome of factors such as the narrator’s social and economic status before the war; the fact of being, or not being, a beneficiary of the reform; the narrator’s political engagement; the narrator’s party affiliation at the time of the reform; and the period of Poland’s postwar history when the narrative was written or spoken. The author’s findings reveal what image of the agricultural reform has been preserved in Poles’ memory.

Na podstawie Borosowskiej analizy aktów woli, poznania, spostrzegania, przypominania i miłości można dojść do stwierdzenia, że śmierć stanowi szczytowy moment rozwoju ludzkiej osoby, w którym to momencie następuje intensyfikacja owych aktów duchowych człowieka, co z kolei skłania go do podjęcia ostatecznej decyzji wyboru Boga. Śmierć jest więc dla naszego teologa realizacją pełni człowieczeństwa i możliwością podjęcia decyzji życiowej. Podjęcie zaś takiej decyzji dokonującej się w momencie śmierci, jest osiągnięciem najwyższej duchowej dojrzałości. Śmierć zatem jest najwyższym aktem osobowym, najważniejszym aktem ludzkiej świadomości i wolności, co wyraźnie akcentuje Boros w swej filozoficzno-teologicznej wizji.
On the basis of Boros's analysis of the acts of will, cognition, perception, remembrance and love, one may conclude that death is the peak moment of human development, at which moment a man’s spiritual acts are intensified, which in turn prompts him to make the final decision to choose God. For this theologian, death is the fulfilment of humanity and the opportunity to make a life decision. Making such a decision at the moment of death is the achievement of the highest spiritual maturity. Death, therefore, is the highest personal act, the most important act of human consciousness and freedom. This is clearly emphasized by Boros in his philosophical-theological vision.
