Opis:: The general aim of this outline is to indicate the diverse merits of women’s personal document literature for the study of women’s independence discourse. The specific objective is to identify the various points of view (understood as a linguistic category) that emerge in the texts regarding war and to reconstruct the image of war that emerges from the narratives of the female authors. Consequently, it can be said that the value of women’s personal document literature for researching women’s independence discourse is determined not only by its different perspective (presumably distinct from the male or official perspective) but also by the internal diversity within this discourse, which is connected to the broadly understood ideology.

Rozpoznania François Bruneta (Photography and Literature) dostarczają poważnych argumentów świadczących o owocnym przyswajaniu literatury przez fotografię i ewolucji hybrydycznych mediów, w których ani fotografia, ani literatura nie są centralnymi figurami. W artykule Wizualne i werbalne relacje we wspomnieniach Annie Leibovitz i Sally Mann analizuję najnowsze projekty autobiograficzne dwóch amerykańskich artystek-fotografów, w których problematyka interakcji fotografii i literatury jako mediów dokumentu osobistego została wyeksponowana w sposób wielowymiarowy. Sally Mann, absolwentka kierunku „creative writing”, koncentruje uwagę nie tylko na kreowaniu narracji wokół własnych, dobrze znanych portretów. Tworzy również znakomity komentarz krytyczny projektujący możliwe rozumienia zależności pomiędzy słowem a obrazem fotograficznym w narracji fotografa-pisarza-krytyka w dobie tzw. „memoir boom” w USA. Wykorzystanie odniesień literackich w fototekście Pilgrimage Annie Leibovitz demonstruje przyległość tropów literackich w pracach fotograficznych, realizowanych jako intymne próby oswajania świata. W konkluzji stwierdzam, iż współczesne narracje autobiograficzne fotografów sytuujące się pomiędzy literaturą i fotografią stanowią specyficzny obszar użycia rosnącego potencjału strategii relacyjnych.

Opis:: Artykuł jest próbą spojrzenia na stan badań w Polsce, dotyczący studiów nad kobiecością i kobietami oraz nad źródłami literackimi z tego zakresu. Kobieca koncepcja „bycia-w-świecie” jest autorską wersją wpisującą się w dotychczasowy nurt badań literaturoznawczych, prowadzonych od wielu już lat, a zapoczątkowanych czy zainicjowanych na większą skalę w latach 90. XX w. Obecność kobieca, czyli jej „bycie-w-świecie”, określa żeńskie doświadczenia, role rodzinne, społeczne i narodowe, relacje miłosne, inicjacyjne, buntownicze czy osobiste, a przez to odsyła do zakorzenionych w kulturze mitycznych i stereotypowych zjawisk. To także kobiece poznawanie świata, trwanie w rzeczywistości, w kulturze, w literaturze, najczęściej poprzez pisarstwo, oznaczenie doświadczenia czasu.
The article is an attempt to look at the state of research in Poland nconcerning the study of femininity and women as well as literary sources in this field. The female concept of “being-in-the-world” is an original version, in line with the current trend of literary studies, conducted for many years, and initiated or initiated on a larger scale in the 90s of the twentieth century. The presence of a woman or her “being-in-the world” defines female experiences, family, social and national roles, love, initiation, rebellious or personal relationships, and thus refers to mythical and stereotypical phenomena rooted in culture. It is also about female learning about the world, being in reality, in culture, in literature, most often through writing, marking the experience of time.

The article is about a testament as an intermediate genre between legal and personal document literature. The author analyses differences in understanding of this term and how it depends on the time and place it was written in, especially in the case of a testament written during the Holocaust. The article presents cases of testaments of the last prisoners of the Kulmhof death camp (today Chełmno) including Izrael Żurwaski and Szymon Srebrnik – two prisoners who escaped from Kulmhof in January 1945. The author also tracks every contradictory information concerning these testaments.

Opis:: In the article, I present the content and the context of the foundation story of Wroclaw – created after 1945 in one of the largest and most destroyed cities which joined Poland after World War II (Polish Western and Northern Territories). The analyzed empirical material consists of personal documents – statements of Wroclaw residents written and submitted in 1966 for the competition entitled: “What does the city of Wrocław mean to you”. The most important element of this story about the creation of the city is the figure of a pioneer, shaped in the image of a mythical hero. The features of pioneers (such as courage, uncompromising love for the city and openness to others) have become an important narrative co-creating the discourse about the city in the narratives of subsequent generations of Wroclaw residents.
W artykule przedstawiam treść i kontekst opowieści założycielskiej Wrocławia – powstałego po 1945 r. w jednym z największych i najbardziej zniszczonych miast przyłączonych do Polski po II wojnie światowej (polskie terytoria zachodnie i północne). Analizowany materiał empiryczny składa się z osobistych dokumentów – wypowiedzi mieszkańców Wrocławia spisanych i zgłoszonych na konkurs „Czym jest dla ciebie miasto Wrocław” w 1966 roku. Najważniejszym elementem tej opowieści o powstaniu miasta jest postać pioniera, którego wizerunek ukształtował się jak mityczny bohater. Cechy pionierów (takie jak odwaga, bezkompromisowa miłość do miasta i otwartość na innych) stały się ważną narracją współtworzącą dyskurs o mieście w narracjach kolejnych pokoleń wrocławian.

Opis:: W artykule posłużono się metodą biograficzną, aby się przyjrzeć, jak starość postrzegana jest przez osoby w podeszłym wieku. Przeprowadzono analizę jakościową 24 wywiadów (z 11 kobietami i 13 mężczyznami) w wieku od 75 do 97 lat, opublikowanych w książce Justyny Dąbrowskiej Miłość jest warta starania. Rozmowy z mistrzami, wyodrębniając jako kategorię wspólną w opisie doświadczenia starości – akceptację. Istotnym odniesieniem jest również metodologiczna refleksja nad literaturą dokumentu osobistego (wspomnienia, rozmowy, dzienniki, korespondencja), która wskazuje nam jej pedagogiczny wymiar. Jak wynika z wyznań mistrzów – rozmówców Justyny Dąbrowskiej, starości trzeba się uczyć, a literatura dokumentu osobistego może wspierać człowieka w całożyciowym procesie uczenia się określonych ról społecznych związanych z osiąganym wiekiem.
In the article the biographical method was used to look at the experience of senility. The research question was: how is old age perceived by the elderly? A qualitative analysis of 24 interviews (with 11 women and 13 men) aged 75-97 years, published in the book of Justyna Dąbrowska: Miłość jest warta starania – rozmowy z mistrzami (Love is Worth the Effort – Talks with the Masters) was conducted by the author of the article. Acceptance, as a common and important category in the description of the experience, was distinguished by the researcher. The author, in the methological reflection on the literature, shows the pedagogical importance of personal documents (memories, diaries, conversations, correspondence). According to the confession of the masters – interlocutors of Justyna Dąbrowska – old age must be learned. The literature of personal documents can suport the person in life long process of learning specific social roles related to their achieved age.

Opis:: Doświadczenie lagrowe i łagrowe znane jest głównie i omawiane w polskiej szkole na podstawie narracji męskich (T. Borowski, G. Herling-Grudziński). Artykuł oparty jest na długo niedostrzeganych świadectwach kobiecych, które stanowią obszerny i konieczny do uwzględnienia materiał o wysokiej wartości źródłowo-informacyjnej i literackiej. Autorka rozważa jeden z elementów kobiecego doświadczenia obozowego, jakim jest odczuwanie czasu w stanie uwięzienia: zamknięcia w ograniczonej i pilnie strzeżonej przestrzeni niemieckiego obozu koncentracyjnego, sowieckiego więzienia oraz łagru położonego na bezkresach rosyjskiej Północy. Zastanawia się nad jednostkowym i wspólnotowym charakterem powyższych doświadczeń i ich literackiej reprezentacji, sytuując je w świetle refleksji K. Jaspersa, J. Leociaka oraz psychiatrów zajmujących się poobozową traumą.
The Lager and Gulag experience is mainly known and discussed in the Polish school on the basis of male narratives (T. Borowski, G. Herling-Grudzinski). The article is based on long-overlooked female testimonies, which constitute extensive and necessary to take into account material of high source-informational as well as literary value. The author considers one element of a women’s camp experience, which is the sensation of time in a state of imprisonment: confinement in the confined and closely guarded space of a German concentration camp, a Soviet prison and a gulag located in the wilderness of the Russian North. She reflects on the individual and communal nature of the above experiences and their literary representation, situating them in light of the reflections of K. Jaspers, J. Leociak and psychiatrists dealing with post-camp trauma.

Opis:: L’articolo presenta il volume di Lucyna Sadzikowska intitolato Listy z lagrów i więzień 1939–1945. Wybrane zagadnienia (Lettere dai campi e dalle prigioni 1939–1945. Alcuni aspetti. Katowice 2019). Secondo l’autore dell’articolo, le lettere dei prigionieri dei campi di concentramento e di lavoro costituiscono un’interessante descrizione della realtà concentrazionaria che avvicina il lettore alla letteratura dei documenti personali. L’obiettivo del libro della Sadzikowska è quello di descrivere e codificare le lettere dai campi e dalle prigioni nel loro aspetto teorico e pratico. L’autrice prende in esame la corrispondenza ufficiale e privata dei campi e delle prigioni (per esempio i messaggi segreti e le lettere clandestine), e presenta uno specifico supplemento a questa epistolografia, ovvero le lettere di Gustaw Morcinek. Il volume della Sadzikowska illustra non solo il suo grande impegno nell’analizzare l’aspetto epistolografico dei documenti redatto nel periodo tra il 1939 e il 1945, ma anche la loro forza ispiratrice.
The article discusses Lucyna Sadzikowska’s book entitled Listy z lagrów i więzień 1939–1945. Wybrane zagadnienia (Letters from the Concentration Camps and Prisons 1939–1945. Selected Issues. Katowice 2019). According to the author of the article, the published letters of the inmates kept in concentration and labour camps remain interesting descriptions of the camp reality that redirect the reader towards literature of the personal document. The purpose of Sadzikowska’s book is to describe and codify the prison and camp letter with regard to its theoretical and practical aspects. She analyses and elaborates on official and unofficial camp and prison correspondence (e.g. secret messages, letters smuggled in or out of camps and prisons), and presents a peculiar supplement to this epistolography, that is, the literary letters of Gustaw Morcinek. The reviewed work not only presents the author’s commitment to elaborate on camp and prison epistolography written in the period between 1939 and 1945, but also points out the inspiring potential of personal documents.

Opis:: The author of 19th-century letters, Bronisława Waligórska – a socialist activist – was arrested and imprisoned in the Warsaw Citadel in July 1886.She sent letters from prison to her sister Jadwiga, who visited her in an attempt to satisfy the prisoner’s most pressing needs. The surviving correspondenceis a testimony of the living conditions of the Citadel’s prisoners and the internal life of Bronisława, who was gradually losing her spirit and the will to fight. On December 31, 1886, she swallowed sulphur from matches and died a few days later. Waligórska’s letters are a testimony of the time spent in prison, but not only. In the letters to her sister, she discussed such topics as the conditions of everyday existence, life in prison and organisation, but also included her reflections on culture, literature and art. She tried to fill her time in prison with translation work. The surviving letters have been published in an innovative graphic form and their edition is a breakthrough in editorial work on archival documents. The print meticulously keeps all the corrections and crosses of the original. Monika Rudaś-Grodzka treated Bronisława Waligórska’s letters with great respect; she approached them with a passion and sensitivity of an archivist who not only analyses the content of the remaining documents, but is always aware that they are a testimony of the life of a particular person. Thanks to thepeculiar attitude of the researcher, Waligórska, while being the protagonist of the book, never stopped being its author. The edition of letters from prison are accompanied by an editor’s note, a description of the terms of publications, a timeline, the main protagonist’s prison biography and a selection of documents concerning the investigation.

Opis:: The purpose of this article is to present the issues related to the management process in the electronic communication of a small law firm. In the introduction, the role of information and knowledge in shaping the competitiveness of enterprises is presented. Then the phenomenon of electronic communication as a process of data transmission is shown, which on the one hand determines the competitive position of economic entities including law firms and legal counsellors, and on the other hand, it is the subject of legal regulations. Because the information provided by electronic means shall be subject to the professional secrecy of legal attorneys or solicitors, as the principle of confidentiality applicable to lawyers according to relevant legislation does not exempt these entities from the responsibility in terms of the protection of personal data. Another area raised in the article is to identify actions to protect information transmitted electronically. The last part of the study is to present the results of studies that show the extent to which we use e-mail, free applications such as Dropbox and Google Drive. Moreover the issues of the frequency of password changing and encryption of media as well as attacks on data owned by an office have been discussed. The whole content has been summarized with conclusions.
