    The time of fiesta is one of the most important events in life of Andean communities (comunidades). Besides its religious function, fiesta is a moment that renews social bonds based on kinship and reciprocity. These bonds have been tying the present day members of the comunidad andina since the pre-Columbian times. The fiesta andina, with all its aspects (the feast in honor of the saints, the liturgical ceremony, and the celebration of the work) can be seen as a kind of a bridge between the sacred and the profane. Th is article is based on the results of field research conducted in 2012/2013 in the area of the Peruvian provinces of Canta and Huarochiri.

    Przedmiotem artykułu jest przedstawienie statusu władz Kościoła Katolickiego, organów jednostek samorządu terytorialnego, a także podmiotów zewnętrznych w procedurze ustanowienia patrona wspólnoty samorządowej. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na status organów jednostek samorządu terytorialnego w świetle zasady bezstronności światopoglądowej władz publicznych (art. 25 ust. 2 Konstytucji RP). Rozważania dotyczą także problematyki opiniowania przedmiotowych wniosków przez mieszkańców i władzę kościelną. Autor zwraca uwagę na relacje zachodzące między władzą świecką i kościelną w poszczególnych etapach postępowania w tej sprawie z punktu widzenia zasad relacji instytucjonalnych między państwem a Kościołami i innymi związkami wyznaniowymi w Polsce.
    The aim of this article is to present the status of the authorities of the Catholic Church, bodies of self-government units as well as third parties in the procedure of appointing a patron saint of a local community. Special consideration is given to the status of local government units in light of the principle of impartiality of public authorities (art. 25 para. 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland). The paper also discusses the problem of evaluating the proposals submitted by church authorities and local residents. The author pays attention to the relations between civil and ecclesiastical authority at various stages of the procedure in question, taking into account the principles governing the institutional relations between the state and churches and other religious organisations in Poland.

    The article presents the pursuit of the fullness of life in God by the saint patrons of the Archdiocese of Poznan, namely the saint bishop and martyr Stanislaw of Szczepanow, the blessed bishop and hermit Bogumil and the saint sister Urszula Ledochowska. The presentation is done according to the scheme: determinants of spiritual life - the most important elements and manifestations of sanctity. The inferences and assertions resulting from the conducted analyses are included in the conclusion. The study is preceded by a recapitulation of the basic truths regarding Christian spir- itual life and the role of saints in the lives of Christians. Studies have shown, among other things, that each of the patrons came into the world in a family with a deep faith and received a vocation to dedicate their life to God. In saint Stanislaus and saint Urszula you can see great organizational talents, a very friendly and gentle reference to others, concern for those in need of help and support, and the greatness of their dedication to others. In blessed Bogumil, the most noticeable feature is his love for hidden life and the practice of severe penance. All three share a commitment to evan- gelization. Each of them reveals a passion for prayer, a concern for being in deep communion with Christ, living with Christ and for Him the experience of suffering and awareness of responsibility for the salvation of others, as well as distance to material goods.

    Currently, 92 years have passed since the announcement of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus, patron of the mission. There are still questions about the legitimacy of this act made by Pope Pius XI. However, this article focuses primarily on the timeliness of this patronage, and not on the act itself and its legitimacy. First, it presents the missionary life of the Saint of Lisieux, which is a de facto missionary feature of her spirituality, and then the “missionary thought” of Saint. Teresa of the Infant Jesus is juxtaposed with the teaching of the Church, represented by Vatican II and Redemptoris Missio John Paul II.

    The subject of this article is the procedure for selecting a saint of the Roman Catholic Church patron saint for the city, municipality or wider territory. The establishment of a patron saint is within the competence of the confessional authority, in particular, the bishop and the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sac-raments. The procedure consists of three stages: the election, acknowledgement and affirmation of the patron saint. The church’s current regulations regarding the election of patron saints are contained in two documents of the Holy See. The municipal council, the poviat council and the assembly of the province pass a res-olution on the patron at the stage of his election by the society and the clergy. The above-mentioned authorities do not take part in the next two stages. Entities of territorial self-government only have a supporting vote. They cannot independently establish a patron saint, regardless of the decisions of the ecclesiastical authorities. The position of administrative courts that the resolutions of the constitutive au-thorities of entities of territorial self-government belong to the category of public administration matters is unjustified. The decree of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments is addressed to a given diocese and not to local self-government authorities. The patron saint is established for a city, mu-nicipality, poviat, or for an area that does not have administrative borders. Entities of territorial self-government must respect the autonomy of the church authorities, and public authorities should be impartial in religious matters. Therefore, entities of territorial self-government do not have the competence to establish a patron saint for the promotion of a municipality, district or self-government of the voivodship. However, they can refer to saint persons at the symbolic level, for example, in the coat of arms or the names of streets and squares. This also applies to schools and hospitals run by local self-government authorities.

    Celem artykułu jest próba językowej analizy kreacji św. Huberta w artykułach opublikowanych w latach 2015-2019 w „Łowcu Polskim”. W różnych gatunkowo tekstach: artykułach, sprawozdaniach, życzeniach, notatkach patron myśliwych został przywołany ponad 50 razy. Językowy obraz świętego Huberta kreują różne środki językowo-stylistyczne. Oprócz form nominalnych i werbalnych odnajdujemy frazeologizmy, porównania, zmetaforyzowane wyrażenia, wyrazy i zwroty typowe dla hierarchicznej relacji i kultury rycerskiej, terminologię zarówno religijną, jak i łowiecką. Analiza wskazuje, iż w wyekscerpowanych tekstach funkcjonuje pozytywny wizerunek opiekuna myśliwych. Święty Hubert troszczy się o nich, okazuje im swą łaskę, odgrywa decydującą rolę w czasie polowania, nagradza polujących powodzeniem w czasie łowów. W życiu myśliwych patron odgrywa znaczącą rolę, jest władcą nie tylko za życia polujących, ale i po ich śmierci, zaś oni służą mu wiernie.
    The purpose of the text is to analyse the creation of Saint Hubert in the articles published from 2015 to 2019 in “Łowiec Polski”[Polish Hunter]—a hunting branch magazine. The patron was mentioned over 50 times in genre-varied texts such as articles, reports, wishes and greetings and notes. The linguistic image of St. Hubert has been created by various lexical and stylistic means. Apart from nominal and verbal forms there appear idioms, parallels, metaphoric expressions, words and phrases typical for hierarchic relations and knightly culture as well as both religious and hunting terminology. The analysis indicates the positive image of the patron of hunters in the excerpted texts. Saint Hubert cares for them, shows his mercy and plays a key roles during hunting when he rewards hunters with good fortune. The patron has a decisive role in hunters’ lives as he is the souvereign for them both during their lifetime and after their death and the hunters serve him faithfully.

    There has been made an attempt to depict the impact of hunters ‘patron’s cult on the hunting culture as well as ceremonials and painting representations. The research subject of the given paper are the selected examples of Saint Hubert heritage meant by intellectual, spiritual and material acquis in its entirety. The analyses indicates that the cult of St. Hubert influenced significantly the culture and hunting rites as well as iconographic texts. The manifestation of St. Hubert cult can be various texts, churches and temples as well as temples devoted solely to their patron, organizing masses and celebrating in honor of the Saint and organizing painting exhibitions where the main theme is the St. Hubertus’ vision. The patron of hunters and foresters , becoming the gestalt unifying people close to woods and building the bond of belonging to a group, symbolizes the values respected by the previously mentioned occupations as well as being the vital part of spiritual and material heritage of the society.
    W pracy podjęta została próba określenia wpływu kultu patrona myśliwych na kulturę i obrzędowość myśliwską oraz przedstawienia malarskie.Przedmiotem badań w niniejszym artykule są wybrane przykłady dziedzictwa św. Huberta rozumiane jako całokształt duchowego i materialnego dorobku społeczeństwa. Ich analiza wskazuje, iż kult patrona myśliwych wpłynął znacząco na kulturę i obrzędowość myśliwską oraz teksty ikonograficzne. Przejawem kultu św. Huberta są różnego typu teksty językowe, kościoły i kaplice pod wezwaniem świętego oraz kapliczki jemu poświęcone, organizowane msze święte i uroczystości ku czci świętego oraz przedstawienia malarskie, których tematem jest wizja św. Huberta.Patron myśliwych i leśników, stając się postacią jednoczącą ludzi związanych z lasem, budującą poczucie przynależności do grupy, symbolizuje cenione przez nich wartości i jest ważną częścią duchowego i materialnego dorobku społeczeństwa.

    The article concerns the musical works of Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, dedicated to three characters - the Main Saint Patrons of Poland. The Blessed Virgin Mary is the addressees of O Domina Nostra. Meditations on Our Lady of Jasna Góra for soprano and organ op. 55. Saint Wojciech is a figure that is the canvas for Salve, sidus Polonorum. Cantata about Saint Adalbert op. 72. In turn, the person of St. Stanisław stands behind the work of Beatus vir op. 38. The study discusses the biography and cultural reception of each of the aforementioned saints. In addition, he describes musical works, indicating the presence of two culminations in their form. The first is musical, located in the middle of the composition, provided with the maximum instrumental and dynamic apparatus in a given song. The second theological, at the end of work, one is given in subtle or characteristic instrumentation, often in low dynamic values. Theological phrases often contain in the title, and their musical form becomes, according the composer's neck, a description of the form of the whole work.
