    Polish religious Marian and at the same time patriotic songs, included in the sources of the twentieth century, are mainly focused on Mary Queen of Poland, whose sanctuary is located at Jasna Gora. Many of them were formed due to the establishment of the feast of Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Poland and Jasnogórskimi Vows of Nation. Among them are songs devoted entirely to patriotic thread (8) and those in which this thread appears only by chance, in some verses (50). The nature of the studied works for the most part is pleading, begging, and only in the few cases is praising. The titles addressed to Mary are mainly: Queen, Hetman, Lady or even in one case, Mary was described as the Chief. The requests are directed for the freedom of the homeland, peace, faith, health, happiness and prosperity. All these compositions in a more or less sophisticated form of art are a faith testament of their creators, and evidence of worship for Our Lady Guardian of Poland.

    Opis:
    This paper is an attempt at interpreting Wincenty Pol’s poetry, popularised in the form songs. Like most Romantic writers, the author of Pieśń o ziemi naszej regarded music as a unique dis-cipline of asemantic art, i.e. the one which goes beyond popular means of communication and capturing reality in a much deeper way than linguistic articulation. He believed that music is capable of expressing the essence of irrational and abstract phenomena: idealism, spirituality and transcendence; but – as a Romantic writer – he was also aware that art should, above all, reflect emotions accompanying human existence: love, loneliness, closeness, separation, suffering, joy and tears - as an emotional reaction to being moved. Some of his poems were included in Polish culture thanks to compositions by Fryderyk Chopin (performed, among others, by Delfina Potocka), Ignacy Komorowski, Julian Kapliński, Bolesław Dembiński, Adam Mũnchheimer and other composers. The popularity of those songs is the evidence that both folklore inspirations and accompanying historical circumstances recorded them in the na-tional song-book. They represent a typical model of ‘Romantic thinking’ and prove that the ‘Lied’ genre is treated as a return to the origins of culture, thus being an excellent example of lyrical miniatures, which can be fully interpreted by means of vocal realisation.

    Artykułu jest próbą zaprezentowania i pewnego niewielkiego zresztą podsumowania dziesięcioletniej działalności Stowarzyszenia. Upowszechnianie i rozwijanie wśród dzieci i młodzieży muzycznych pasji, łączenie chóralnego śpiewu z nauką historii to główne założenia i zadania, które realizowane są przez działające w Tyczynie Stowarzyszenie. Artykuł prezentuje działalność artystyczną chóru „Sancta Musica” na przestrzeni dziesięciu lat jego działalności. Ten swego rodzaju „jubileusz” jest okazją do zaprezentowania, działalności koncertowej na podstawie wybranych przykładów. Mowa w nim o występach chóralnych w kraju oraz poza jego granicami. Artykuł ten dowodzi, że można i warto łączyć pasję muzyczną z nauką historii. Tyczyńska „Sancta Musica” uczy i wychowuje. Bez cienia przesady można stwierdzić, że treści i sprawy poruszone w niniejszym artykule dowodzą dużej aktywności niewielkich środowisk lokalnych. Artykuł pokazuje, że udział w działalności tyczyńskiego Stowarzyszenia stanowi powód do niekłamanej satysfakcji dla chórzystów, ich rodziców oraz osób prowadzących i organizujących działalność artystyczną.
    The article ‘The musical culture of children and youths – on the basis of Singing Association for Children and Youths “Sancta Musica” in Tyczyn’ is an attempt to present a short summary of the association’s decade-long activity. The main goals of the association are to spread and develop musical passion among children and youths and combine choral singing with learning history The article presents the ten years of artistic activities of the choir ‘Sancta Musica’. This so-called ‘jubilee’ is a great opportunity to introduce the choir’s performances on the selected examples. It describes the choir’s performances in its homecountry and abroad. This article proves that combining passion with learning history is worthwhile and can be done. ‘Sancta Musica’ from Tyczyn teaches and educates. It can be said without a hint of exaggeration that the contents and matters raised in this article prove the very active role of small local circles. The article shows that taking part in the Tyczyn’s association’s activities is satisfactory for the choristers, their parents, and the people in charge of the choir’s artistic activities.

    W artykule omówiono obraz postawy patriotycznej, a także sposoby prezentowania przedstawicieli kultur innych niż polska wyłaniające się ze współczesnych piosenek dziecięcych. W wyniku jakościowej analizy tekstów i nagrań autorka zrekonstruowała modele patriotyzmu, które są promowane przez utwory adresowane do najmłodszych, a zwłaszcza tzw. „patriotyzm symboliczny”, ukierunkowany jedynie na rozbudzanie emocjonalnego przywiązania do ojczyzny, a nie na faktyczne zaangażowanie w pracę na jej rzecz. Z zaprezentowanych badań wynika również, że tylko nieliczne piosenki dziecięce propagują postawę inkluzywną wobec reprezentantów innych narodowości, zaś zawarta w piosenkach wiedza na ich temat często odzwierciedla krzywdzące stereotypy.
    The article discusses the image of the patriotic attitude, as well as the ways of presenting the representatives of various cultures emerging from contemporary Polish children’s songs. As a result of the qualitative analysis of the texts and recordings, the author reconstructed the models of patriotism promoted by the songs addressed to children, especially the so called “symbolic patriotism”, aimed only at awakening emotional attachment to the motherland, and not at actual commitment to work for its benefit. The presented research also shows that only a few children’s songs promote an inclusive attitude towards foreigners, and the information about them contained in the songs often reflects harmful stereotypes.
