Opis:
This article is an attempt of a holistic outlook on blessed father Michał Sopoćko. Looking in this way we can easily see in him a passion to speak and teach about the endless Divine Mercy. Firstly and mainly we discover in him a priest with model zeal, as it flows out of his personal convictions and surrendering to the Divine Mercy. The whole life of blessed Michał has three main motifs: the first one was the experience of the Divine Mercy (active in sacraments) and of human mercy (particularly in his youth and seminarian life). The second motif was demonstrating mercy in concrete actions addressed towards relatives, the faithful in his care (parishioners, soldiers, seminary students and religious sisters) and towards particular groups (youth, national minorities). The third motif which joined the two previous ones and activated them was his personal devotion to the Divine Mercy. Thanks to such deep prayer life and its consistency, conscientious research of the truth of the Divine Mercy in the Bible, liturgy, tradition and Church magisterium he was filled with genuine mercy.

Charity activity in the parish it is a charity service based on the God’s commandment of love, appropriate to needs of people who suffer financial or spiritual poverty, aimed at bringing help in living decent quality of life. The motive for activity and the charity service comes out of the commandment of the love to a neighbor and desire for imitating the Christ (Luke 10,30−36). Service to poor and suffering people is an evidence of faithfulnesses to the Gospel and is a continuation of the rich charity tradition of the Roman Catholic Church. Concern about the poor and needing people carried on in the organized and scheduled way exemplifies the solidarity in the Christ with the poor people.

Artykuł jest poświęcony działalności duszpasterskiej w wymiarze parafialnym w sanktuarium w Skrzatuszu, której celem jest krzewienie Bożego miłosierdzia. Stanowi on próbę syntezy i jednocześnie analizy owej działalności. Bazą do tego zostały wybrane przez autora, spośród szerokiego wachlarza działań, trzy dziedziny formacji duszpasterskich, tj. rekolekcje parafialne, misje parafialne oraz walka kapłanów z nałogami parafian, w tym w szczególności z alkoholizmem i pijaństwem.
The purpose of the article is to show a pastoral activity in the Skrzatusz parish which aim is to spread God’s mercy. It provides both an effort of synthesis and analysis of such an activity. The author presents three fields of studies taken out of the array of pastoral formation activities such as parish retreats, missions and priests’ struggles against parishioners’ addictions including in particular alcoholism and drunkenness.

World Youth Day that will take place in Krakow in 2016 offers all of us challenges and opportunities. Opportunities for a spiritual awakening of the Church in Poland and a pastoral challenge that should unify everyone: bishops, priests, catechists, parishes, evangelicaland prayer communities throughout Poland and the world, and of course, young people. The World Youth Day is not a simple event, but rather an action of authentic and living faith. It began in 1984 by Saint Pope John Paul II when he presented to young peoplea challenge: a pilgrimage across cities and continents. And in joining that pilgrimage, young people, not only change themselves, but also contribute to a spiritual renewal in their local churches throughout the world. The core message of spiritual preparation for the WYDin Poland is the Beatitudes – the Eight Blessings – that Pope Francis proposed for us to reflect upon. The World Youth Day in 2016, and the preceding period of preparation, will be a huge spiritual retreat for all Poland. The expected fruit of this international encounter will be a new dynamism for Evangelisation.
Światowe Dni Młodzieży, które odbędą się w 2016 roku w Krakowie są nie tylko wyzwaniem logistycznym, ale przede wszystkim szansą na duchowe przebudzenie Kościoła w Polsce i wyzwaniem duszpasterskim, które powinno zjednoczyć wszystkich: biskupów, księży, katechetów, wspólnoty parafialne i młodzieżowe, ewangelizacyjne i modlitewne w całej Polsce. Światowe Dni Młodzieży nie są bowiem zwykłym wydarzeniem, ale drogą, którą zapoczątkował w 1984 roku święty papież Jan Paweł II i zaproponował młodym jako pielgrzymkę przez miasta i kontynenty. Włączając się w nią, młodzi ludzie nie tylko siebie przemieniają, ale przez żywe i autentyczne świadectwo wiary przyczyniać się do przemiany Kościołów lokalnych, które stają się jej etapami. Programem duchowych przygotowań do ŚDM stają się dla Kościoła w Polsce Błogosławieństwa, zaproponowane do rozważenia przez papieża Franciszka. Światowe Dni Młodzieży w 2016 i okres przygotowań do tego wydarzenia to wielkie rekolekcje dla całej Polski. Oczekiwanym owocem międzynarodowego spotkania młodych w Polsce jest nowy dynamizm ewangelizacyjny.

Papież Franciszek często apeluje do kapłanów, by w ich życiu i posłudze duszpasterskiej był widoczny przede wszystkim prymat miłosierdzia. Jego zdaniem, począwszy od Soboru Jerozolimskiego, drogą Kościoła jest droga miłosierdzia. Temat miłosierdzia pojawiał się regularnie w nauczaniu papieskim w Roku Miłosierdzia i pojawia się nadal, chociaż może z nieco mniejszą częstotliwością. Z orędziem miłosierdzia Franciszek zwraca się m.in. do kapłanów. Analiza zawartości jego przemówień do księży wskazuje, że chodzi mu nie tyle o dowartościowanie akcji charytatywnych w duszpasterstwie, co raczej o pokazanie nowego stylu posługi duszpasterskiej w Kościele. Styl ten polega w istocie na uznaniu przez księży prymatu miłosierdzia w swoim życiu i posługiwaniu. Według Franciszka, bycie miłosiernym to nie tylko jeden ze sposobów bycia, ale jedyny sposób bycia. Nie ma innej możliwości bycia księdzem. Autor artykuł na podstawie analizy treści nauczania papieża Franciszka odpowiada na następujące pytania: czym w istocie jest ów przeniknięty miłosierdziem styl posługi duszpasterskiej, jakie są jego teologiczne podstawy oraz w jaki sposób kapłani – słudzy miłosierdzia powinni realizować duszpasterstwo w duchu miłosierdzia? Artykuł ma charakter przeglądowy, a jego podstawowym źródłem jest dotychczasowe nauczanie papieża Franciszka.
Pope Francis often appeals to priests to follow the primacy of mercy in their lives and ministry. Since the Council of Jerusalem, the Church has followed the path of mercy. This issue was regularly brought up by the Pope in the Year of Mercy and is still raised today, even though less frequently. Pope Francis addresses the message of mercy also to priests. An analysis of his speeches shows that they aim not only at showing appreciation of charity in ministry but also at pointing towards a new style of ministry. The style entails accepting the primacy of mercy in priests’ lives and service. According to Pope Francis, being merciful is not a way of life but the only way of life. There is no other way to be a priest. The author of this paper offers an analysis of Pope Francis’ teaching, addressing the following issues: what is a mercy-driven style of ministry, what are its theological foundations and in what way should priests, servants of mercy, fulfill their ministry mission? The article is a review of Pope Francis’ teaching.

Sacred Scripture provides indications of how to channel pastoral care in the parish so that pastors and lay evangelizers will be merciful like the Father. The Merciful God is presented in the Parable of the Lost Sheep, the Parable of the Lost Drachma and the Parable of the Prodigal Son. Pope Francis in Misericordiae Vultus observes that in these parables we discover “the core of the Gospel and of our faith, because mercy is presented as a force that overcomes everything, filling the heart with love and bringing consolation through pardon” (MV, 9). God is portrayed as the Merciful Father searching for those who have left the community of the faithful or got lost in the Church. This image is a foundation for creating a pastoral vision for the parish. From this perspective mercy does not apply only to the charity practices but becomes evangelisation which opens for a personal meeting with Jesus Christ in the Gospel, liturgy, sacraments and the community. From these parables the “imagination of mercy” is born, the imagination which should permeate the parish and indicate the style of pastoral care. The realisation of mercy consists in going to the peripheries of the parish in order to search for those who have left or got lost (cf. NMI, 50). The new “imagination of mercy” encourages us to use the law of gradualness in pastoral care (cf. EG, 34-39; AL, 293-295) and the strategy of facilitation (cf. EG, 44).

Adhortacja apostolska papieża Franciszka Amoris laetitia formułuje szereg wskazań dotyczących duszpasterstwa rodzin. Dotyczą one także tak zwanych małżeńskich sytuacji nieregularnych. Jedną z głównych zasad duszpasterstwa w takich sytuacjach jest odpowiedzialność za człowieka, za jego duchowy rozwój. Ta odpowiedzialność wymaga dobrego rozeznania duszpasterskiego różnorodnych sytuacji oraz towarzyszenia na drogach duchowego rozwoju. Niniejszy artykuł postuluje przyjęcie paradygmatu miłosierdzia jako zasady właściwej dla tego rodzaju duszpasterstwa.
The apostolic exhortation of Pope Francis Amoris laetitia formulates a number of indications regarding the pastoral care of families. They also apply to so-called marital irregular situations. One of the main principles of pastoral care in such situations is responsibility for man, for his spiritual development. This responsibility requires good pastoral understanding of various situations and accompanying the man on his ways of spiritual development. This article proposes the application of the paradigm of mercy as a principle proper for this kind of pastoral work.

The author of the article assumes that the ongoing discussion, which started in the Catholic Church after the Amoris laetitia exhortation by pope Francis, can enrich the form and meaning of pastoral work of persons living in irregular relationships. Pastoral accompaniment of such people should not provide any opportunities for minimalizing the requirements of the Gospel regarding the indissolubility of marriage. However, it should, to a greater extent than so far, take into account circumstances diversifying the burden of guilt for the sin of unfaithfulness. As a result of the equal treatment of the cheated and the cheating, people living in irregular relationships fall into two forms of sin against the Holy Spirit: impudent sinning in the hope for Divine Mercy and doubting in the possibility of receiving Divine Mercy. A fair judgment of the sin of unfaithfulness is provided by conscience presented in a triple role: a witness of objective truth about the sacrament of marriage, a guardian of the human being, acting in particular situations and a judge of individual human acts. Conscience as a witness cannot deny that remaining in a non-sacramental relationship not only creates, but also strengthens sinful situations, which prevents a person from full participation in the Eucharist, namely receiving the Holy Communion. In such a situation theologians should prepare varied forms and means of getting to the divorced who live in sin. Even though this prevents them – without meeting known conditions – from participating in the Eucharist, the cheating and the cheated found themselves in a different situation in view of Divine Mercy. Pastoral accompaniment of the former should consist in awaking their conscience to take responsibility for his/her wife/husband and children and opening the heart of the latter for the grace of Divine Mercy, especially that which is present in the Eucharist. There are no obstacles for this person to want to be in a spiritual union with Jesus and directly feel accepted by Him in his/her longing and zeal. For such a person the Eucharist is above all a remedy.
Autor artykułu zakłada, że dyskusja, jaka toczy się Kościele po adhortacji Amoris laetitia papieża Franciszka, może wzbogacić formę i treść duszpasterstwa osób żyjących w związkach nieregularnych. Towarzyszenie duszpasterskie tym osobom nie powinno dawać okazji do minimalizowania wymagań Ewangelii w sprawie nierozerwalności małżeństwa, z drugiej jednak strony powinno – w większym niż dotychczas stopniu – uwzględniać okoliczności różnicujące ciężar winy za grzech niewierności. Równomierne traktowanie zdradzających i zdradzonych przyczynia się do popadania ludzi żyjących w związkach nieregularnych w dwie formy grzeszenia przeciwko Duchowi Świętemu: zuchwałego grzeszenia w nadziei miłosierdzia Bożego i wątpienia w możliwość osiągnięcia łaski Bożej. Sprawiedliwą ocenę grzechu niewierności zapewnia sumienie ujmowane w potrójnej roli: świadka obiektywnej prawdy o sakramencie małżeństwa, stróża osoby ludzkiej, działającej w konkretnych okolicznościach, oraz sędziego pojedynczych aktów ludzkich. Sumienie jako świadek nie może zaprzeczyć, że trwanie w związku niesakramentalnym nie tylko stwarza, ale i utwierdza sytuację grzechu, która uniemożliwia pełne uczestnictwo w Eucharystii, czyli przyjmowanie Komunii św. W tej sytuacji teologowie powinni wypracować zróżnicowane formy i sposoby docierania do osób rozwiedzionych, żyjących w sytuacji grzechu. Jakkolwiek uniemożliwia on – bez spełnienia znanych warunków – pełne uczestnictwo w Eucharystii, to jednak w innej sytuacji stawia wobec Bożego miłosierdzia winnego niewierności i ofiarę niewierności. Towarzyszenie duszpasterskie pierwszemu powinno polegać na budzeniu jego sumienia do brania odpowiedzialności za żonę/męża i dzieci, drugiemu zaś na otwieraniu serca na łaski Bożego miłosierdzia, szczególnie obecne w Eucharystii. Nic nie stoi na przeszkodzie, aby nie tylko pragnęła duchowego zjednoczenia z Jezusem, ale wprost czuła się przez niego przyjęta w swojej tęsknocie i żarliwości. Dla niej w pierwszym rzędzie Eucharystia staje się lekarstwem.

The pastoral care of the church needs a paradigm, on which it can build its practice. This paradigm must take signs of the contemporary times into account. The message of mercy was crucial for the pontificates of John XXIII, John Paul II and Benedict XVI. Mercy is also an essential theme of teaching for Pope Francis. The primary sign of the contemporary times is mercy. At times we are called to gaze even more attentively on mercy so that we may become a more effective sign of the Father’s action in our lives (Pope Francis). The main issue of the present article is mercy as  a paradigm of the missionary and pastoral care of the church. Three statements create the issues for this study: pastoral ministry in a missionary key, contemporary times as the times of mercy and principles and areas of the pastoral of the  mercy.
