    The purpose of this study was to analyze in FIFA World Cup Tournament 2018 focusing on the technical and tactical offensive actions of the male goalkeepers when being under pressure and to evaluate if their actions correlated with the outcome of the match. The sample consisted of the goalkeepers (n = 41). A descriptive analysis and a hierarchical clusters analysis were performed to identify the goalkeepers’ classes. Furthermore, a factor analysis was conducted to locate the goalkeepers’ style of play and the statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. The results showed that the total percentage of correct passes under pressure was 46.5% and that the goalkeepers preferred using the air and long distance passes with one or two touches. In addition, out of the 4 groups that were formed with cluster analysis, the goalkeepers of group 2 and 3 stood out concerning the quality of their actions. The incorrect actions were correlated with defeat and the correct actions were correlated with a win (p < 0.001, r = 0.663). In conclusion, a male goalkeeper, nowadays, needs to have all the technical actions of his feet at a good level so he can contribute to his team’s build-up, especially those of distributing the ball with his feet.

    The paper presents the results of investigations aimed at enhancing the durability of slitting passes in the process of three-strand rolling of 16 mm-diameter ribbed bars. Using the Forge2011® computer program, numerical modelling of the rolling process was carried out in order to examine the variations in band shape in individual rolling passes, to verify the correctness of the designed new slitting pass system, to determine the local strains in the rolled band, and then to determine the distribution of unit friction force work on the roll groove surface. From the obtained investigation results it was found that the application of the new roll pass design in stands 13-16 increased their durability in the rolling process by approx. 30%. The wear of the roll sets for the stands under examination after rolling out the annual 16 mm-diameter bar production volume was determined in the study. The obtained numerical modelling results were verified in experimental tests.

    The paper presents the results of the experimental tests of Mg/Al bimetallic bars rolling process in classic and multi-radial modified round-oval-round passes. The bimetallic bar consist of magnesium core, grade AZ31 and aluminium outer layer, grade 1050A. The stocks were round bars with diameter 22.5 mm with an aluminium layer share of 28%. As a result of rolling in four passes, bars of a diameter of about 17 mm were obtained. A bimetallic feedstock was manufactured using an explosive welding method. The use of the designed arrangement of multi-radial modified stretching passes resulted in obtaining Mg/Al bimetallic bars with an uniform distribution of the cladding layer over the bar perimeter and high quality of shear strength between individual layers compared to Mg/Al bars obtained in the classic passes.

    Autorzy zwrócili uwagę na potrzebę oceny realizacji badań socjologicznych efektów inwestycji drogowych jako uzupełnienia procesu konsultacji społecznych, na przykładzie skutków budowy obwodnic małych miejscowości i ich wpływu na lokalną społeczność. Konsultacje społeczne i badania opinii społeczności lokalnych w polskich warunkach są stosunkowo nowymi elementami procesu inwestycyjnego dla wszystkich ich uczestników. Brak aktualnych badań oraz zainteresowania tematem przez socjologów, uzasadnia podjętą przez autorów próbę identyfikacji zagadnienia, oceny jego znaczenia, technik realizacji i znaczenia uzyskiwanych wyników.
    Intention of the paper is evaluation of need of social investigation of road investments as complementation of social consultations on the example of effects of by-passes of small towns construction and their influence on society. Pubic consultations and public opinion investigations are likely new for all participants of investment process. Lack of present investigations and concern of this topic by sociologists motivated the authors to undertake identification and evaluation of the problem, methods of implementation and evaluation of the results.

    The paper presents a modification of the slitting pass system, which ensured a reduction in roll wear during three-strand rolling of ribbed bars with a diameter of 16 mm, and thus reduced the associated costs. The theoretical and experimental research on the rolling process of ribbed bars with a diameter of 16 mm rolled in three-strand technology was carried out on a D350 18-stand continuous bar rolling mill conditions. To determine the cost of slitting pass wear, the results of numerical calculations of the frictional force unit of work obtained using the Forge2011® computer program was used, as well as empirical calculations.

    Polska jest krajem o wyróżniającej się na tle Europy różnorodności biologicznej. Jednocześnie w ostatnich latach stała się jednym z największych placów budowy infrastruktury drogowej. Rozbudowa sieci drogowej zawsze wiąże się z ingerencją w tereny cenne przyrodniczo, a biorąc pod uwagę fakt, że obszary objęte ochroną stanowią ok. 33% powierzchni kraju, uniknięcie konfliktów na tym tle jest praktycznie niemożliwe. Dlatego działania mające na celu minimalizowanie oddziaływania na świat przyrody są nieodłączną częścią każdej realizowanej inwestycji drogowej. Elementy ochrony dzikiej przyrody stanowią do 30% kosztów całej inwestycji, dlatego też poniesione koszty muszą się zamortyzować poprzez skuteczność podjętych działań. Monitoring zastosowanych urządzeń z jednej strony pozwala na ocenę ich skuteczności, a z drugiej umożliwia zidentyfikowanie ewentualnych błędów i ich unikniecie w przyszłości. Ilość oraz różnorodność podejmowanych w Polsce działań minimalizujących negatywny wpływ dróg na dziką przyrodę, zwłaszcza w odniesieniu do liczby przejść dla zwierząt, zapewniających zachowanie ciągłości ekologicznej, stawia Polskę w czołówce państw europejskich pod tym względem.
    Poland, which biological diversity stands out in comparison with the rest of Europe, became one of the biggest road construction site during the last few years. A development of a road network almost always involves disturbance of biogically sensitive and protected areas. As those areas cover about one third of the whole country it is virtually impossible to avoid conflicts concerning biological protection. For those reasons, steps to be taken to limit to a minimum the incidence of the construction works on the biological environment constitute an integral part of each investment. The costs of protecting unspoiled environment represent up to 30% of the total costs of investments. The effectiveness of planned actions must consequently justify spending the considerable funds involved. Monitoring of the results of solutions used allows both verification of their usefulness and identification possible errors so that they may be avoided in the future. Number of actions which have been undertaken in Poland to minimalize the incidence of roads on unspoiled environment, in particular as regards the number of fauna passes, to preserve the ecological continuity, place Poland among most advanced European countries.

Zadaniem PGW Wody Polskie jest ochrona mieszkańców kraju przed powodzią i suszą, zrównoważone gospodarowanie wodami w celu ochrony zasobów wodnych, a także zapewnienie dobrej jakości wody dla obecnych i przyszłych pokoleń. Celem artykułu jest prezentacja najciekawszych projektów PGW Wody Polskie zrealizowanych w latach 2017–2022, tj. od momentu powstania Gospodarstwa.
    The State Water Holding ‘Polish Waters’ (PGW Wody Polskie) is the entity responsible for the national water management on the scale of catchment areas, river basins and the entire country, exercising owner's rights in relation to the waters of the State Treasury. Main tasks of ‘Polish Waters’ are: protection of the inhabitants of Poland against floods and droughts, sustainable water management to protect water resources, ensuring good water quality for current and future generations. The dynamic progress of civilization has strongly influenced people’s lives and the natural environment. Over the centuries, the relationship of man to nature has evolved towards sustainable development. All investments carried out by our State Holding are carried out in accordance with applicable European and national regulations and voluntary good practices. Our priorities are pro-environmental activities, which already at the investment design stage take into account the ideas of sustainable development, including the preservation or restoration of river continuity, as well as the protection of habitats and species. The aim of the article is to present the most interesting projects of the State Water Holding ‘Polish Waters’ implemented in the years 2017–2022, i.e. since the establishment of the entity.

    W grudniu 2003 roku Kopex SA zawarł kontrakt na pogłębienie szybu głównego oraz wykonanie i wyposażenie wyrobisk towarzyszących w kopalni rudy miedzi i cynku Cayeli Bakir Isletmeleri w Turcji. W ramach zadania polegającego na udostępnieniu nowego poziomu wydobywczego od grudnia 2003 do sierpnia 2007 r. PBSz SA wykonał kompleksowe roboty w branży górniczej i mechanicznej. Zakres robót obejmował: pogłębienie o 286 m czynnego szybu wydobywczego o średnicy 5,5 m, wykonanie i wyposażenie komory podszybia, kieszeni skipowej, przekopu przenośnikowego, komory rozdzielni, pompowni głównej na nowym poziomie wydobywczym, głębienie szybików skośnych - przepustów rudy oraz wentylacyjnego, wydrążenie ok. 1000 m wyrobisk kamiennych z zastosowaniem torkretowanej obudowy kotwowej. Przy głębieniu szybu i szybików oraz wykonaniu obiektów towarzyszących i drążeniu wyrobisk w szerokim zakresie zastosowano technologie z wykorzystaniem otworów wielkośrednicowych wierconych oraz wykonanych z wykorzystaniem technik strzałowych. Zastosowane technologie pozwoliły zrealizować nietypowe zadania budownictwa podziemnego.
    In December 2003 Kopex SA concluded a Contract for main shaft deepening, construction and furnishing of support excavations at Cayeli Bakir Isletmeleri Zink and Copper Ore Mine in Turkey. From December 2003 till August 2007, PBSz SA carried out complete work in mining and mechanical branches, within the confines of a project consisting in opening-out a new production level. The scope of work included: deepening by 286 m an operating production shaft of 5.5 m diameter, construction and furnishing of shaft station room, skip pocket, conveyor drift, electric substation room and main pump room on the new production level, sinking of oblique ore passes and a ventilation raise, driving approx. 1000 m of stone headings with the application of shotcreted anchor support. During the shaft and ore pass sinking, the construction of support structures and driving of headings procedure employing the techniques of large diameter hole drilling and blasting were applied at a wide range. The procedure applied allowed the carrying out non-standard tasks in shaft construction.

    The paper presents the results of measurements made for two types of Timberjack skidding tractors (forwarder T1010 and skidder T240B) during timber extraction. Static unit pressures of wheels on soil and changes in soil compaction were determined after one, two and three tractor passes on the same wheel tracks with and without load.
