Multimodal processes planning and scheduling play a pivotal role in many different domains including city networks, multimodal transportation systems, computer and telecommunication networks and so on. Multimodal process can be seen as a process partially processed by locally executed cyclic processes. In that context the concept of a Mesh-like Multimodal Transportation Network (MMTN) in which several isomorphic subnetworks interact each other via distinguished subsets of common shared intermodal transport interchange facilities (such as a railway station, bus station or bus/tram stop) as to provide a variety of demand-responsive passenger transportation services is examined. Consider a mesh-like layout of a passengers transport network equipped with different lines including buses, trams, metro, trains etc. where passenger flows are treated as multimodal processes. The goal is to provide a declarative model enabling to state a constraint satisfaction problem aimed at multimodal transportation processes scheduling encompassing passenger flow itineraries. Then, the main objective is to provide conditions guaranteeing solvability of particular transport lines scheduling, i.e. guaranteeing the right match-up of local cyclic acting bus, tram, metro and train schedules to a given passengers flow itineraries.

The work concerns the analysis of the possibilities of using light aircraft in the regional passenger transport. This analysis was based on the existing airport infrastructure in Poland. Between 43 existing airports with paved runways and length more than 1,000 meters potential routes of aircraft traffic were set. The study compared the light aircraft transport to the car transport. One of the benchmark criteria was the travel time between different destinations, using both means of transport. The second criterion is the financial aspects of travel. For this purpose, a statistics of light aircraft and calculated their Direct Operating Cost as a function of various parameters such as maximum weight, the number of passenger seats, cruise speed were created. Analysis also included air navigation charges on the routes and the operator profit. The calculations allowed identifying potential routes where the plane would be competitive with the car in terms of travel time and costs by one person. The number of these routes was dependent on the speed of travel, the number of seats on the plane as well as the fill factor of these seats. The analysis also applies to determine the number of passengers traveling between the regions. In 2013, domestic air transport handled less than 2.5 million passengers, which in comparison to the countries of Western Europe is a poor result. This is caused mainly by a small amount of domestic routes as well as a small number of regional airports. The implementation of the concept of using light aircraft in regional connections aims to increase the speed of travel, increase the safety in passenger transport, cost reduction and partial replacement of road transport by air transport.

W artykule omówione zostały dwa wskaźniki stosowane w transporcie miejskim, jakimi są praca przewozowa i potoki pasażerskie. Do analizy tych parametrów autorzy artykułu wykorzystali dane, dotyczące trzech zbliżonych względem siebie, zwłaszcza pod względem powierzchniowym i ludnościowym, miast wojewódzkich, tj. Łodzi, Poznania i Wrocławia. Aby pokazać, jak zmieniały się ich wartości w czasie, odniesiono się do przestrzeni lat 2000 - 2014.
This article discusses three indicators used in urban transport, which are: number of passengers, passengers turnover and stream of passengers. For the analysis of these parameters, the authors of the article used data on three similar to each other, especially in terms of surface and population, three big cities: Lodz, Poznan and Wroclaw. To show how they have changed their value over time, reference is made to the years 2000 to 2014.
