Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono niektóre aspekty związane z jednostkami transportowymi upraszczającymi przebieg za i wyładunków w transporcie. Scharakteryzowano podstawowe rodzaje jednostek, zwrócono uwagę na wspólną kompatybilność i możliwość łączenia ładunków, przedstawiono niektóre procesy transportowe, oraz aspekty logistyczne z tym związane. W skład artykułu wchodzą rysunki stanowiące graficzną ilustrację analizowanych zagadnień.
The article presents some aspects connected with transportation units simplifying the conduction of loading and unloading. The basic types of units have been characterized and attention was paid to the mutual compatibility and the possibility of combining loads, and, in addition, also some transportation processes, as well as logistic aspects connected with them, have been presented. The article also contains figures constituting a graphical illustration of the analyzed issues.

Opis:: Authors of the lecture noticed huge potential of using closed pallets pools. The solution offers a lot of advantages for suppliers and recipients. In order to determine profitability, thesuggested solutions the authors made measurements in one of the warehouse company from the FMCG industry. Opis:: A flat wooden pallet, being a simple logistics carrier in terms of its structure, can nonetheless be treated as a highly specialized logistical and marketing object applied in complex supply chains. Rigorous measures taken to standardize pallets are predominantly aimed at ensuring the highest possible safety level for the transported products and people handling the freight units during the complex logistical processes that involve pallets along supply chains. The goal of this article was to increase understanding of the operating strategies employed by entities using pallet pools, as well as the organizational, operational, and market challenges faced by them. It was hoped to achieve this goal via both theoretical and empirical studies. To this end, the research study applied theoretical synthesis and empirical evidence derived from primary research based on the industrial, transport, forwarding, and logistics markets. At the same time, the theoretical context was based on the literature on the subject, related to wooden pallet issues and their special role in logistical processes. Challenges connected with decisions made to enable effective and efficient management of pallet pools were addressed at legal and regulatory, as well as organizational and operational, levels. Diverse courses of action identified in several stakeholder groups were reflected in the adopted philosophy of managing the main feeding streams of pallet pools. Though limited to just the Polish market, the research study was sufficiently representative due to the strategic share of the European and global market of standard flat wooden pallets. The author proposes taking a perspective of value-added synergy as an alternative (to be understood as different and complementary rather than excluding possibilities) to other ways of approaching the value of supply chains. The undertaken considerations may contribute to increasing the awareness of the importance of taking a pallet, so common from the technical and technological point of view, as a value-added carrier in scientific considerations, due to its paradoxically low individual economic vulnerability.

Opis:: The paper contains the designs of modifications of testing devices, which were constructed for the purpose of checking the functional properties of the mechanical pallet fixing lock built by the KOMA – Industry s.r.o. company, which is used for securing pallets with cars in parking houses. The individual testing devices consist of one or two positioning devices, the moveable parts of which are placed perpendicular to each other in the frame of the testing device. A mechanical pallet fixing lock is attached to the moving part of the perpendicular positioning device, and it consists of the following three parts: the body, the pulley holder and a compression coil spring. A plate is attached to the moveable part of the horizontal positioning device and is adapted to receive a pressure force sensor or to engage a mechanical fixation lock or the break of an electromagnetic locking device. The paper contains the description and method of experimentally determined resistance, which is created by the shear friction on contact surface, when inserting or withdrawing the pulley holder tube from the plain bushing of the fixation lock body. Additionally, the paper provides the values of the measured vertical forces, which are generated by the deformed compression spring with a wire of circular cross-section during inserting/withdrawing of the pulley holder tube into/from the fixation lock body. The values obtained from the performed experimental measuring of vertical forces and frictional resistance during the inserting of the pulley holder tube into the plain bushing of the fixation lock body will be used for subsequent checking of the functional properties of pallet fixation locks and will allow determining the optimal position for attaching the pallet fixation locks to stack cell steel beams in the parking house, on which chain conveyers push pallets with cars are parked.
