- Opis:
- Oskar Schlemmer was a German painter, artist, dancer, choreographer, director and teacher. He was one of the most significant European avant-garde artists in the 20th century. His avant-garde performance Triadic Ballet premiered at the Württemberg Theater in Stuttgart in 1922. Its first reconstruction was done in 1968 by Margaret Hastings, a former student of Mary Wigman. Subsequent reconstructions were undertaken by Gerhard Bohner in Berlin in 1977 and Theater der Klänge in Düsseldorf in 1987 and others. Twenty years after Oskar Schlemmer’s death, the reconstruction of this brilliant experiment by the Bavarian State Ballet II seemed only natural. The young dancers directly experienced the difficult process of reconstructing material and form as a part of the legacy left to them. The premiere of the reconstruction performed by the Bavarian State Ballet Group took place in Reithalle München on Wednesday, 4th June 2014.
