The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of social media usage on employee and organization performance. The research was done on one multinational IT Company. Social media usage was measured using knowledge sharing, decision making and communication. Organizational performance was measured using employee and organization performance. Questionnaires were developed and the items were measured using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. This research takes on an explanatory approach and the sample consisting of 206 employees working in call center departments was recruited. The data was analyzed using SPSS 21 and AMOS 22 software. The results showed that only decision making has a positive and signifi cant impact on employee high performance and organizational performance. We found no signifi cant impact of the other two dimensions of social media usage (knowledge sharing and communication) on employee high performance and organizational performance. Therefore, this study suggests that top management in MNC companies as well as employees should consider social media usage for effective decision making to increase employee performance and organizational performance. This research contributes to existing studies on this topic, and future research could put emphasis on extending this research to another country or industry.

Under the influence of the 4th industrial revolution and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, digital transformation is rapidly taking place in all aspects of society. For businesses, digital transformation is an essential and objective trend for their sustainability and development. The purpose of digital transformation for businesses is to enhance operational efficiency through factors such as accelerating market speed, gaining competitive advantage, driving revenue growth, increasing labor productivity, and expanding customer attraction and retention. Numerous studies have indicated that the process of digital transformation in businesses is influenced by leadership and digital transformation strategies, and digital transformation has an impact on business performance. This study aims to identify the relationship between digital leadership and the operational efficiency of coal mining companies in Vietnam, with the mediating role of digital transformation strategies. Additionally, the study examines the moderating role of digital skills on the relationship between digital transformation strategies and the operational efficiency of the organizations. The research surveyed 111 employees and workers currently working in coal mining companies in Vietnam. Through analysis and hypothesis testing, the results showed that digital leadership does not have a direct impact on coal companies’ operational efficiency. However, it indirectly affects business performance through the mediating role of digital transformation strategies. The study's findings also revealed that the digital skills of employees play a moderating role in enhancing the relationship between digital transformation strategies and the operational efficiency of the organization.

This study aims to identify the impact of transformational leadership in improving the performance of employees and its impact on raising the efficiency of organizations by considering that transformational leadership is one of the successful leadership methods to achieve the effectiveness and efficiency of organizations and improve their performance. In this paper, a systematic literature review of existing international papers is used. the meta-analysis method was used to analyze the articles published in scientific journals with high evaluation indexed in Scopus. Through the analysis process, application (WordStat 8) was used to investigate articles and summarize the descriptive statistics, correlation, and cloud keywords. The results reveal the effectiveness of transformational leadership on job performance. whenever managerial leaderships possess the attributes and characteristics of a transformational leader, including positive influence, inspirational motivation, and individual consideration, the more their subordinates will have creative skills and abilities. Also, the results indicate that the leader who possesses the characteristics of a transformational leader contributes significantly to the development of the capabilities of his subordinates, which is positively reflected in the upgrading of the organization’s efficiency. In this paper, we present identifiable patterns in the relationship between transformational leadership, improving employee performance, and the raising efficiency of organizations. Then we suggest emerging core topics that deserve more academic attention. This paper’s added value is that it undertakes a thorough and complete assessment of the relationship between transformational leadership, boosting employee performance, and increasing organizational efficiency. It also includes a written review of the work as well as an updated reference index covering the years 2011 to 2020, making it valuable for academics and professionals alike.

Aim/purpose – The main purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between organizational learning, organizational i nnovation and organizational performance in Nigerian environment. The three hypotheses tested were consonant with the objectives of the study. Design/methodology/approach – Descriptive survey research method was used, pur- posive sampling method was used to select pa rticipants for the study and questionnaire administration engaged as instrument to elicit information from the participants. Kendall’s tau b correlation coefficient statistical technique adopted. Findings – The study confirmed that organizati onal learning had a positive correlation with organizational innovation; organization in novation in turn had positive correlation with organizational performance and organiza tional learning also had positive correla- tion with organizational performances. Research implications – The study looked at relations hip between organizational learn- ing, organizational innovation and organizati onal performance in relation to manufactur- ing industry in Nigeria. Originality/value/contribution – The study used non-financial perspectives, product, process, technology and non-technological i nnovations to establish may be relationships exist between the three constructs.

Business ethics is a determinant of company competitiveness. Obeying ethical principles is elementary for positive company culture and company identity creation. It influences implementation of changes in an organization and achieving strategic goals. The Balanced Scorecard system is considered to be an essential element of the management system implementation strategy, where effectiveness of BSC is being able to clearly describe the strategy and linking it with the steering system. The utility of Balanced Scorecard in different types of organizations confirms its wide adaptability concept. The paper analyses the relationship between the strategic managerial system Balanced Scorecard and business ethics. The aim of this paper is the analysis the relationship between ethical orientation and the performance organization, and subsequently the systematization of the conditions for the introduction of moral values in BSC strategic map. This paper is a follow-up to a research realized in a period of 2009-2012 in Slovak organizations providing services in the area of Balanced Scorecard system implementation and it compares its results with the expected theoretical solutions.
Etyka biznesu jest wyznacznikiem konkurencyjności firmy. Przestrzeganie zasad etycznych jest elementarne dla pozytywnej kultury firmy i tworzenia tożsamości firmy. Ma to wpływ na wdrażanie zmian w organizacji i realizację celów strategicznych. System Zrównoważonej Strategicznej Karty Wyników uznawany jest za istotny element strategii wdrażania systemu zarządzania, w którym efektywność BSC jest w stanie wyraźnie opisać strategię i powiązanie jej z systemem kierowania. Użyteczność Zrównoważonej Strategicznej Karty Wyników w różnych typach organizacji potwierdza szeroką koncepcję zdolności adaptacyjnych. W niniejszym artykule dokonano analizy zależności między strategicznym systemem kierowania Zrównoważonej Strategicznej Karty Wyników a etyką biznesu. Celem artykułu jest analiza relacji między orientacją etyczną a wydajną organizacją, a następnie systematyzacja warunków wprowadzenia wartości moralnych w mapie strategicznej BSC. Niniejszy artykuł jest kontynuacją badań realizowanych w okresie 2009-2012 w słowackich organizacjach świadczących usługi w zakresie wdrażania systemu Zrównoważonej Strategicznej Karty Wyników i porównuje swoje wyniki z oczekiwanymi rozwiązaniami teoretycznymi.

Within organizations in industrialized countries, the quality of human resources tends to become a major issue on the path to achieving a competitive advantage. According to the author’s research, the implementation of the five-factor model of Costa and McCrae provides the solution for the abovementioned problem. This article demonstrates the crucial utility of the five-factor model of Costa and McCrae in the context of life insurance industry effectiveness from both the theoretical and practical perspectives based on a case study of the four largest life insurance companies 796 most effective agents. Results imply the existence of a positive correlation between the level of the selected personality traits intensities and the life insurance agent’s sales efficiency. Moreover, as levels of the personality traits of “openness to experience,” “consciousness,” “agreeableness” and “neuroticism” are the predictors of life insurance company effectiveness, there are fundamentals for induction to be appropriate for the whole retail financial sector human resources management system.

The paper examines the impact of trust in an agricultural marketing cooperative. The aim is to explore how the trust among members and between members and management affect the commitment of members towards the cooperative (group cohesion) and their satisfaction with the cooperative. Trust is examined from two dimensions: cognitive and affective. Our results have clearly proved that trust has a positive impact on group cohesion and satisfaction. According to the experiences, however, the impact of examined dimensions of trust is differentiated: the statistical models regarded the impact of affective dimensions on group cohesion and members’ satisfaction more important than the impact of cognitive dimension.
Przedstawiono wpływ zaufania do spółdzielni rolniczych ich członków. Przeanalizowano, w jaki sposób zaufanie pomiędzy członkami spółdzielni oraz pomiędzy członkami i kierownictwem wpływa na zaangażowanie członków w rozwój spółdzielni (spójność grupowa) i ich zadowolenie ze współpracy. Zaufanie było badane z perspektywy dwóch wymiarów: poznawczej i emocjonalnej. Wyniki dowiodły, że zaufanie ma pozytywny wpływ na spójność i satysfakcję grupy. Z doświadczenia wynika jednak, że wpływ badanych wymiarów zaufania był zróżnicowany – modele statystyczne uwzględniały wpływ wymiarów emocjonalnych na spójność grupową i satysfakcję członków silniej niż wpływ wymiaru kognitywnego.

Transformational leadership has been acknowledged as innovative means of empowering employees. However, its applicability in developing countries remains unproven due to the different perspective in organizational cultures. This article aims at investigating the practice of paternalistic and transformational leadership and firm performance of the public sector organization in Indonesia mediated through organizational culture. The data were taken from the leaders and members of the public sector organization from South Kalimantan of Indonesia. The smart PLS was used for analysis. As Indonesia is still reflecting a traditional bureaucratic type culture in favour of paternalistic leadership, implementation of transformational leadership is only partially applicable. Empirical insights into transformational leadership attempts most clearly indicate that Indonesian’s ability to fit into this framework is problematical, but gradually, the concept is accepted. Thus, Indonesia can adopt the well-developed country administrative models, carefully examine their future and adversative effects, and selectively practice only those parts of such models that are appropriate to its societal contexts and people's need. This research implies that although public sector reform becomes more differentiated in the future and a variety of governance reforms emerge in the forms of law-driven, service-driven, or citizen-driven will be located within the context of a country’s overall cultural dimensions.
Przywództwo transformacyjne zostało uznane za innowacyjny sposób wzmacniania pracowników. Jednak jego zastosowanie w krajach rozwijających się pozostaje nieudowodnione z powodu odmiennej perspektywy kultur organizacyjnych. Artykuł ma na celu zbadanie praktyki przywództwa paternalistycznego i transformacyjnego oraz zdecydowanych działań organizacji sektora publicznego w Indonezji, w których pośredniczy kultura organizacyjna. Dane zostały pobrane od liderów i członków organizacji sektora publicznego z południowego Kalimantanu w Indonezji. Do analizy wykorzystano inteligentny PLS. Ponieważ Indonezja nadal odzwierciedla tradycyjną kulturę biurokratyczną na rzecz paternalistycznego przywództwa, wdrażanie przywództwa transformacyjnego ma zastosowanie tylko częściowo. Empiryczne spostrzeżenia na temat prób przywództwa transformacyjnego najwyraźniej wskazują, że zdolność Indonezji do dopasowania się do tych ram jest problematyczna, ale stopniowo koncepcja jest akceptowana. W ten sposób Indonezja może przyjąć dobrze rozwinięte modele administracyjne kraju, dokładnie zbadać ich przyszłość i negatywne skutki i wybiórczo praktykować tylko te części takich modeli, które są odpowiednie dla jej kontekstu społecznego i potrzeb ludzi. Badania te sugerują, że chociaż reforma sektora publicznego będzie w przyszłości bardziej zróżnicowana i pojawi się wiele różnych reform zarządzania, w formie zorientowanych na prawo, usługi lub obywateli, będą one osadzone w kontekście ogólnych wymiarów kulturowych kraju.

Traditional marine navigation methods are replaced by new solutions that use computers. Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems (ECDIS) are mandatory almost on every vessel [24],[25]. ECDIS not complying with regulations is an existing problem and a hazard for seafarers and the marine environment. But unfortunately, there is a deficit or even lack of procedures for checking whether ECDIS meets related performance standards. Regulatory bodies of the maritime industry are now contemplating how to tackle this blunder [1]. SOLAS regulations V/18 and V/19 [24], requires that in order to achieve chart carriage requirements (in terms of SOLAS Convention), the ECDIS equipment must conform to the relevant IMO performance standards. ECDIS units on board of the ships are required to comply with one of three performance standards (either IMO resolution A.817(19) [18], as amended [19],[20], or resolution MSC.232(82)) [21], or resolution MSC.530(106) [23], depending on the date of their installation. In this article, the author tries to explain the differences in these three documents. Along with technological progress, the equipment becomes more and more advanced and technologically sophisticated. This applies to both hardware, software and databases. ECDIS software developers should use the right tools, including incorporate automated self-tests into their products and shipping companies should employ maintenance strategies to improve ECDIS compliance [1], taking into account that time is running quickly.

Although there have been many studies conducted to analyze the effects of person- -organization fit (POF) and person-job fit (PJF) on individual outcomes, little is known about which of these fit associates stronger with individual variables (i.e., intention to quit job, IQJ, and perceived individual performance, PIP). Therefore the purpose of the study is to compare the relationships of PJF and POF with IQJ and PIP. The sample of the study consists of security guards working at a private company’s civil aviation safety department. Totally 98 security guards participated to the research. Results indicated that, the relationships of PJF and POF with IQJ and PIP were not significantly different. Consequently the results indicate that POF and PJF associate similarly with critical individual outcomes.

The paper presents the theory of constraints (TOC) as a method used to improve results in a complex, multiplants organization. In the article the assumptions of this method has been presented as well as iterative approach concerning how to launch it in practice. Main indicators for organizational effectiveness assessment have also been presented. The maximization of production assets utilization is a key issue for competitive organization in the changing market conditions. An appropriate usage of the theory of constraints enables efficient allocation of financial assets among particular plants within a capital group. An application of a method has been presented based on throughput analyses and its influence to improve financial results of one plant organization and synergy effect in multiplants organization. The theory of constraints can be used in almost every kind of business sectors, among them are metal and foundry industries. It allows to be implemented in production organizations as well as in any other company’s profiles. Everywhere the constraint has been defined there is a chance to achieve an improvement following the presented method. The examples have been taken from the casting plants which use continuous and mold casting technologies. The examples show that TOC approach can be successfully employed as the improvement tool of foundries’ performances.

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are fundamental to the economy of all countries, representing the majority, with a considerable contribution to GDP, as well as generating jobs; for this reason, it must seek to remain in the market. The objective is to analyze the impact of training on the organizational performance of SMEs in northwestern Mexico, applying the statistical technique of structural equations model (SEM-PLS); the research was conducted to 195, considering the commercial, industrial and services, is a quantitative study, descriptive, correlational, causal, using the statistical technique of structural equations with the SMART PLS 3.3.2 software, and not experimental cross-sectional. The alternative hypothesis is accepted, since training has an effect on the organizational performance of SMEs in northwestern Mexico. It is highly significant because there is very strong evidence of the causality of the mediating variable training on the organizational performance of SMEs with 99.9% reliability. Training has the greatest effect on organizational performance because each unit that increases training will have an effect of +0.453, being the variable with the greatest cause-effect impact on organizational performance in SMEs in northwestern Mexico.

Purpose: The study aims to review the existing literature linked to the field of Organization Behavior Management (OBM) and provide a historical account of OBM development based on the existing literature. Design/methodology/approach: The study performs keywords search of published OBM articles from 1950 onwards in widely used research databases. All materials were reviewed, i.e., the title, abstract, background, and methodology, to determine whether they are in line with the objective of the current study. Findings: The historical review shows that OBM practices applied widely over the years were visible in various sectors in the late 1960s and early 1970s. By the end of the 1980s, the OBM discipline was well established. It has produced considerable evidence through behavior analytic interventions that modify human behavior at work. Research findings show that OBM practices help an individual to understand how to carry out one’s tasks/activities within the organization to improve business results. Research limitations: Research scholars have limited knowledge that provides an error-free study of the OBM field past events. The historical development of OBM involvements and their recent contributions can be found in research publications of the Journal of Organization Behavior Management (JOBM). Practical implications: The current study provides insights about the developmental phase of the OBM field and discusses how it changed the behavior analytic for enhanced delivery at workplaces. Historical events such as Skinner’s behavior modification account for the development of OBM that influences traditional management and is used today in a variety of situations by OBM practitioners. Originality/value: This paper provides a historical evaluation of the OBM practices. It expands our knowledge of the OBM field and its interventions over time. Reflections of the study highlight the need for OBM practices for the successful functioning of various types of organizations. Cel: celem opracowania jest przegląd dotychczasowej literatury związanej z dziedziną zarządzania zachowaniami organizacyjnymi (OBM) i przedstawienie rozwoju OBM z perspektywy historycznej w oparciu o istniejącą literaturę. Postępowanie badawcze/metodologia/podejście: w ramach badania przeprowadzono wyszukiwanie słów kluczowych w artykułach dotyczących OBM opublikowanych od 1950 roku w powszechnie używanych bazach danych badań. Dokonano przeglądu wszystkich materiałów, tj. tytułów, streszczeń, kontekstu i metodologii, w celu ustalenia czy są one zgodne z celem opracowania. Wyniki: z przeglądu historycznego wynika, że szeroko stosowane przez lata praktyki w zakresie OBM były widoczne w różnych sektorach pod koniec lat 60. i na początku lat 70. XX wieku. Pod koniec lat 80. dyscyplina OBM była już dobrze ugruntowana. Dobitnie świadczyły o tym interwencje oparte na analizie zachowania, które modyfikują zachowanie ludzi w pracy. Wyniki badań pokazują, że praktyki w zakresie OBM pomagają jednostce zrozumieć, jak wykonywać swoje zadania/czynności w organizacji, aby poprawić wyniki działalności Ograniczenia badawcze: badacze mają ograniczoną wiedzę, która zapewniałaby bezbłędną analizę przeszłych wydarzeń w dziedzinie OBM. Historyczny rozwój stosowania OBM i jego niedawny wkład można znaleźć w publikacjach badawczych w czasopiśmie Journal of Organization Behaviour Management (JOBM). Implikacje praktyczne: opracowanie przybliża etap rozwoju dziedziny OBM. Omówiono również sposób, w jaki OBM zmieniło analizę zachowania w celu poprawy wyników w miejscach pracy. Wydarzenia historyczne, takie jak modyfikacja zachowania Skinnera, doprowadziły do rozwoju OBM, co wpływa na tradycyjne zarządzanie. OBM jest obecnie stosowane w różnych sytuacjach przez praktyków. Oryginalność/wartość: artykuł zawiera historyczną ocenę praktyk w zakresie OBM. Poszerza wiedzę na temat OBM i interwencji podejmowanych w jego ramach na przestrzeni czasu. Refleksje z badania wskazują, że praktyki w zakresie OBM są konieczne dla pomyślnego funkcjonowania różnych rodzajów organizacji. If market repeatability is assumed, it is possible with some real probability to deduct short term market changes by making some calculations. The algorithm, based on logical and statistically reasonable scheme to make decisions about opening or closing position on a market, is called an automated strategy. Due to market volatility, all parameters are changing from time to time, so there is need to constantly optimize them. This article describes a team organization process when researching market strategies. Individual team members are merged into small groups, according to their responsibilities. The team members perform data processing tasks through a cascade organization, providing solutions to speed up work related to the use of remote computing resources. They also work out how to store results in a suitable way, according to the type of task, and facilitate the publication of a large amount of results.

Opis:
The current research investigated the effect of safety climate on job satisfaction and job performance with psychological capital as a moderator between safety climate and job satisfaction as well as job performance. This research fills the gap by collecting empirical evidence from the emerging organizations of Pakistan. Conservation of resource theory (COR) is relevant to the research area. Data were collected from 300 employees from different Organizations. The current study is empirical and quantitative-based study is used to conducted research. Data were collected by convenient non-probability sampling techniques to be used and collected from employees working in the reputed organization; Chemical, Cement, Petroleum, Oil and Gas industry of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Confirmatory Factor analysis was done through AMOS and hypotheses were tested through SPSS regression analysis process of Hayes model. To test the moderation effects, the process of Hayes model 1 was also performed. Safety climate has a positive relationship with the two DVs which are job performance and job satisfaction. Moreover, Psychological Capital played a significant moderating role between safety climate and job satisfaction as well as job performance. When Psychological capital was high, the relationship between safety climate and job performance as well as the relationship between safety climate and job satisfaction were stronger. These results are important for future studies. This research recommended top management and responsible authorities to promote safety climate activates between their organization in order to enhance their employees satisfy and high performed. Moreover, this research strongly recommends psychological capital amongst organization looking for highly satisfied and effective employees. Further implications for practice were discussed in detail.
