    Opis:
    The aim of the article is to show the possibilities of applying the traditional rules of ordo caritatis in contemporary bioethical dilemmas. After the synthetic showing of its essence, attempt was made to its application to specific situations related to biomedical practice. The focus is primarily on the issues of medical emergency situations and difficult access to medical services. It has been shown that the principle of the order of love in conjunction with other principles of medical interventions, including in particular the principle of proportionality can be an important criterion for the evaluation procedure.
    Celem artykułu jest ukazanie możliwości zastosowania klasycznej zasady ordo caritatis we współczesnych dylematach bioetycznych. Po syntetycznym ukazaniu jej istoty podjęto próbę jej aplikacji do konkretnych sytuacji związanych z praktyką biomedyczną. Skupiono się przede wszystkim na zagadnieniach medycyny ratunkowej oraz na sytuacjach utrudnionego dostępu do świadczeń medycznych. Wykazano, że zasada porządku miłości w połączeniu z innymi zasadami ingerencji medycznych, w tym przede wszystkim z zasadą proporcjonalności, może stanowić istotne kryterium oceny postępowania.

    Artykuł analizuje, obecną w tradycji chrześcijańskiej od św. Augustyna, kategorię ordo caritatis. Przedstawia ją z perspektywy historycznej i podejmuje próbę wykazania jej aktualności, a także możliwości odniesienia jej do współczesnych problemów migracyjnych. W artykule zauważa się bowiem, że kategorię ordo caritatis przywoływało się zawsze wtedy, gdy trzeba było znaleźć odpowiedź na pytanie: Jak i komu pomóc w sytuacji, kiedy nie można pomóc wszystkim? Autor przekonuje, że kategoria ordo caritatis jest stale aktualna (także w duchu soborowej odnowy) i może być odnoszona do współczesnych problemów migracyjnych. Kategoria ta zabezpiecza przed kierowaniem się w procesie pomagania jedynie emocjami i przypomina o konieczności racjonalności działań i konieczności zachowania w nich logiki oraz porządku.
    The article analyzes, present in the Christian tradition from St. Augustine, category ordo caritatis. Presents it from a historical perspective and makes an attempt to show that it is current, as well as shows the possibility of referring it to problems of migration in the contemporary world. The article emphasizes that category ordo caritatis was invoked whenever it was necessary to answer the question: how and who we should help in a situation when we cannot help them all? The author argues that the category ordo caritatis is still current (in a spirit of the conciliar reform) and can be related to contemporary problems of migration. This category prevents from being driven in the process of helping by only emotions, recalls the need for rational actions and the need for logic and order.

    Czas epidemii spowodował poważne przemiany w kształcie i funkcjonowaniu społeczeństwa. W środku tych przemian społecznych znalazł się Kościół jako środowisko bazujące przede wszystkim na relacjach kontaktowych. Przemiany te dotknęły najistotniejszych elementów posługi Kościoła, w tym samego centrum życia Kościoła, czyli Eucharystii. W kontekście tych zmian zaczęły się rodzić liczne pytania i dylematy duchowo-moralne dotyczące Eucharystii. Niniejsze refleksje są próbą zmierzenia się z tymi właśnie dylematami. W pierwszej części dylematy te zostają nazwane. Zasadniczą częścią jest  ukazanie podstaw doktrynalnych, związanych z nauczaniem Kościoła o niesprzeczności poznania rozumowego z poznaniem płynącym z wiary, a dotyczących nauki na temat Eucharystii, szczególnie na temat realnej obecności Chrystusa w Najświętszym Sakramencie oraz na temat Komunii duchowej. W sposób szczególny niniejsze rozważania uwzględniają aspekt teologicznomoralny poprzez odwołanie się do takich kategorii jak ordo caritatis, heteronomia, autonomia oraz teonomia. Kategorie te pozwalają bowiem skonstruować bardziej szczegółowe wskazania pastoralne na czas epidemii, dotyczące posługi sakramentalnej, szczególnie związanej z Eucharystią. W analizach poruszony zostaje także wątek historyczno-liturgiczny, dotyczący różnych sposób udzielania Komunii Świętej (do ust i na rękę). W ostatniej części zostaje przywołana postać św. Karola Boromeusza, biskupa Mediolanu w XVI wieku, w którego posłudze duszpasterskiej w czasie epidemii można odnaleźć wiele elementów, o których mowa w niniejszych analizach.
    The time of the epidemic caused major transformations in the shape and functioning of society. In the midst of these social transformations was the Church as an environment based primarily on contact relationships. These transformations affected the most essential elements of the Church's ministry, including the very centre of the Church's life, the Eucharist. In the context of these changes, numerous questions and spiritual-moral dilemmas concerning the Eucharist have begun to arise. The present reflections attempt to address these very dilemmas. In the first part, these dilemmas are named. The essential part is to present the doctrinal foundations of the Church's teaching on the incompatibility of rational knowledge with the knowledge of faith regarding the doctrine of the Eucharist, especially regarding the real presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and spiritual communion. In a particular way, this reflection takes into account the theological-moral aspect by referring to categories such as ordo caritatis, heteronomy, autonomy and theonomy. These categories make it possible to construct more detailed pastoral indications for the epidemic period concerning sacramental ministry, especially related to the Eucharist. The analyses also touch on the historical and liturgical themes concerning the different ways of distributing Holy Communion (on the tongue and on the hand). The final section recalls the figure of Saint Charles Borromeo, Bishop of Milan in the 16th century, in whose pastoral ministry during the epidemic many of the elements mentioned in these analyses can be found.

    “You set charity in order in me” (Song 2:4, LXX) is one of the most fundamental biblical texts for the concept of the ordo caritatis. The Author seeks to examine how this text was read in the East and West, analysing the commentary of three Greek authors (Origen, Gregory of Nyssa and Theodoret of Cyrus), and three Latin authors (Augustine of Hippo, John Cassian and Apponius). There commentaries, he notes, agree with one another for the most part, and refer more or less to Origen’s exegesis of this verse. However, some differences can be noted. The Eastern Fathers, for example, hold that, in the order of charity, the criterion of merit is more important than the criterion of blood relationship; that is to say, the greater love is to be shown to those who have been born in Christ (cf. 1Cor 4:15) over those born of the flesh. Only the Eastern Fathers explore what the ordo caritatis means also in relation to one’s enemies. The Western Fathers, for their part, tend to underline the moral aspect of the ordo caritatis, insofar as upholding that order is virtue, while infringing it is sin. In this regard, a casuistic approach can occur in their commentary more frequently than in those of the Eastern Fathers. The novelty of the commentaries of the Western Fathers is also found in their reflection on the ordo caritatis within the Holy Trinity, as well as the manner in which they expand the embrace of this order to other categories of people: friends, fellow citizens, strangers. Some of the Western Fathers (Apponius) apply the ordo caritatis not only to people but also to works of mercy, while others (Augustine) bring out the aesthetic element in the ordo caritatis, noting that the effect of order of any kind, including the order of charity, is beauty.

    W minionym wieku migracje stały się szeroko rozpowszechnionym zjawiskiem, które ma wpływ zarówno na kraj pochodzenia, jak również na kraje tranzytowe i docelowe migracji. Staje się to ogromnym problemem i szczególnym wyzwaniem dla polityków, ekonomistów, socjologów i demografów. Problem migracji dotyka milionów ludzi. Jest ona też problemem dla Kościoła, który służy całej ludzkości, i który musi sobie z nią radzić i wychodzić naprzeciw jej wymaganiom w duchu ewangelicznej miłości. Bezprecedensowa zeszłoroczna migracja osiągnęła niewyobrażalne wcześniej rozmiary. Obecnie mamy do czynienia z napływem setek tysięcy ludzi pochodzących z zupełnie odmiennych kontekstów kulturowych i religijnych. Migracja jest problemem etycznym i społecznym, a także wyzwaniem duszpasterskim dla Kościoła. Ten fakt powinien zachęcić wspólnotę chrześcijańską do refleksji i przedsięwzięcia dobrze przemyślanych i celowych działań. Nie możemy odkładać tych spraw na jutro. Kościół zachęca wiernych to solidarności z uchodźcami. W pierwszym rzędzie należy podjąć długofalowe działania eliminujące przyczyny migracji. Wymaga to pewnego wysiłku. W tym celu konieczna jest większa współpraca międzynarodowa, aby rozwiązać konflikty powodujące rozlew krwi i zmniejszyć inne przyczyny skłaniające ludzi do porzucenia swojej ojczyzny. Konieczne są wysiłki ukierunkowane na promocję takich warunków, które pozwolą im na pozostanie w ojczyźnie albo – w przypadku gdy już ją opuścili – zachęcą do powrotu.
    In the past century, migration has become a widespread phenomenon that has an impact on the countries of origin, as well as on the countries of transit and destination. It is becoming a huge social problem and a particular challenge for politicians, economists, sociologists and demographers. Migration affects millions of people. It is also a problem for the Church, which serves all humanity, and which must cope with and meet all its demands in an evangelical spirit of love. The unprecedented migration of the past year has reached dimensions previously unimaginable. Currently, we are dealing with an influx of hundreds of thousands of people from very different cultural and religious backgrounds. The migration represents an ethical and social issue as well as a pastoral challenge for the Church. This fact should encourage the Christian community to reflect on and undertake well-conceived and targeted actions. We cannot put off these issues until tomorrow. The Church urges the faithful to stand in solidarity with the refugees. First of all, we need long-range actions aimed at eliminating the reasons of that phenomenon. It is necessary to make an effort to remove the causes of this situation. What is needed is greater international cooperation to resolve the conflicts that caused bloodshed and diminish other causes that motivated people to leave their homes. Efforts are needed to promote conditions that would allow them to remain in their homeland or, if they have already left it, to encourage them to return to it.
