In the article the ratings developed by Moody's Corporation, Standard & Poor's Ratings Services and financial data of Polish windows manufactures were analyzed. Ratings published by international agencies were compared with an independently developed rating. Authors made an attempt to verify the hypothesis whether the internal rating created by means of operational research method, significantly differs from the ratings prepared by international rating agencies. In the article mathematical possibilities of potential changes in credit rating were presented.

The authors take into consideration the process of translating demand forecasts (or sale plans) into production plan. In the first part of the paper the characteristics and parameters of a aggregate planning are summarized. The main part contains the proposal of integer programming model which supports aggregate planning decisions. In the proposed model production quantities, timing of inputs, inventory levels and workloads are considered. The last part of the paper contains the presentation of computational result obtained by using the introduced model.

The paper presents a new method of forecasting the durability of piston-rings-cylinder (PRC) liner assembly of the internal combustion engine on the basis of observed changes of physical and chemical properties of engine oil. Methods used so far for the durability evaluation of the PRC group required collecting information about the moments when the assembly reached its boundary state or used kinetic models of wear designed using accelerated research of real objects. In the proposed method, for the evaluation of durability of engine cylinders information gathered form engine oil is used. Course of changes of the proposed index of change intensity of kinematic viscosity at the temperature of 100°C - Cv100 allows for evaluation of the durability of PRC assembly of an IC engine. Obtained value was positively verified using forecasting method related to the technical criteria based on the assessment of the wear intensity.

Opis:
The algorithm for calculating the shortest route for three vehicles with the limitation of their capacity and number of places per one vehicle using Microsoft Office Excel with the addition of OpenSolver 2.9.0 is presented. The algorithm was designed mainly for small transport companies whose number is several dozen times bigger than large companies. The evolutionary method was used, which belongs to the group of exact methods that guarantee calculation of the shortest possible route. Improving the work organization of transport means that can be achieved by using the presented computerized transport management system will result in reduction of carbon dioxide emissions and measurable savings as a result of reducing the distances necessary to overcome. Presented algorithm provides a step-by-step procedure with snapshots for improved performance. Visualization of the route allows for transparent display of the data developed.
Przedstawiono algorytm obliczania najkrótszej trasy przejazdu dla trzech pojazdów z ograniczeniem ich pojemności i liczby miejscowości przypadającej na jeden pojazd z wykorzystaniem programu Microsoft Office Excel z dodatkiem OpenSolver 2.9.0. Algorytm został przeznaczony głównie dla małych firm transportowych, których jest kilkadziesiąt razy więcej niż firm dużych. Zastosowano metodę ewolucyjną, która należy do grupy metod dokładnych gwarantujących obliczenie najkrótszej z możliwych tras. Poprawa organizacji pracy środków transportu, którą można osiągnąć przez zastosowanie przedstawionego komputerowego systemu zarządzania transportem, spowoduje ograniczenie emisji dwutlenku węgla oraz wymierne oszczędności na skutek zmniejszenia odległości koniecznych do pokonania. Wizualizacja przebiegu trasy umożliwia przejrzyste zobrazowanie opracowanych danych.

Programs are collections of projects related to a common goal. Scheduling programs follow other rules than scheduling projects. Even when projects in programs are connected logically, simple methods as the critical path method (CPM) cannot always be used. This paper has the following objectives: to describe the problem of scheduling programs and use the multi-criteria approach to scheduling projects in it. Using a system approach, after analyzing project-scheduling solutions in literature, we applied them appropriately to determine the schedule of the project. The approach was verified using an example taken from the literature on the subject.

This paper deals with streamlining the collection (pick-up) and distribution (delivery) activities within the technology of wood industry. Through the optimization process implemented using the issue of the distribution task of linear programming, specifically the Mayer method, the particular solution in order to minimize the total costs in practice of utilized distribution routes is proposed. The first part of the paper presents the characteristics of the vehicle routing problem and describes methods of solving this issue. Subsequently, the main part of the paper outlines a particular case study in the context of the Mayer method application within the field of transport-technology solution of the material distribution.

Do konstrukcji autorskiego narzędzia autor artykułu wykorzystał programowanie liniowe, które jest specyficznym rodzajem programowania matematycznego. Z uwagi na dużą objętość materiału oraz chęć przedstawienia przykładowego działania narzędzia diagnostycznego, autor postanowił podzielić artykuł na dwie części. W części pierwszej artykułu autor przygotował niezbędne dane do budowy narzędzia diagnostycznego, a następnie opis formalny tego narzędzia. W części drugiej artykułu autor dokonał optymalizacji zarządzania łańcuchem dostaw sieci Biedronka w oparciu o autorskie narzędzie diagnostyczne. Następnie zaproponował potencjalne modyfikacje narzędzia diagnostycznego, które mogą w przyszłości usprawnić jego działanie.
The main purpose of this article is the design of a original diagnostic tool, that will help to improve Biedronka supply chain management. For the construction of the diagnostic tool, the author of the article used linear programming, which is a specific type of mathematical programming. Due to the large volume of content and the desire to present an example of using the diagnostic tool, the author decided to divide the article into two parts. In the first part of the article, the author has prepared the necessary data to build a diagnostic tool. Then he prepared the formal description of the diagnostic tool. In the second part of the article, the author optimized the supply chain management of the Biedronka network using the author’s diagnostic tool. Next he proposed potential modifications of the diagnostic tool which may improve its operation in the future.

W artykule omówiono budowę cykli ze względu na zapis funkcji prędkości w czasie. Przedstawiono cztery kieleckie cykle podmiejskie, mające posłużyć do dalszych badań symulacyjnych nad doborem najlepszego zasobnika energii dla autobusu hybrydowego, poruszającego się po kieleckich liniach podmiejskich. Opisano procedurę gromadzenia danych, dzięki którym zbudowano cykle zastępcze wielosegmentowe mieszane oraz przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą tych cykli. Wskazano cechy podobne oraz różnice występujące między czterema cyklami.
The article describes the construction of cycles due to the data collected on the vehicles as some functions of the time. The contribution presents four suburban cycles determined for Kielce public transport buses. The cycles are to be used for further simulation studies to choose the best energy storage system for hybrid buses. The procedure of the data collection and evaluation, used to build multisegment suburban cycles has been described. The comparative analysis of all cycles has been presented. Some characteristics comparing all cycles and their differences have been shown.

The article presents a description of scientific achievements concerning Multiple- Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) methods attained as part of the cooperation between scientific centres of Lithuania, Germany and Poland with a special emphasis on the input by Professor Edmundas K. Zavadskas and his scientific school. The cooperation, which commenced in 1986, focused on “Colloquia” — the systematic, international scientific seminars. The article aimed to summarise and popularise the achievement of these “Colloquia” in the area of MCDM as well as spotlight the outstanding theoretical and application significance of accomplishments by Prof. Zavadskas. Also, the work presents the most recent MCDM methods developed by Prof. Zavadskas that improve the accuracy of calculations and extend the area of their application.

W artykule przedstawione zostały problemy modelowania, projektowania i integracji systemów wspomagania dowodzenia. Omówione zostały w szczególności zagadnienia teleinformatycznej platformy integracji rozproszonych systemów dowodzenia oraz wymiany danych w rozproszonej symulacji działań bojowych, metody wspomagania dowodzenia w procesie planowania działań operacyjnych, metody tworzenia i udostępniania jednolitego obrazu pola walki. Pracę kończy opis przykładowego systemu wspomagania decyzji na potrzeby zautomatyzowanych systemów dowodzenia SZ RP oraz wnioski wynikające z przeprowadzonej analizy dotyczące w szczególności sieciocentrycznych aspektów w systemach wspomagania decyzji na potrzeby zautomatyzowanych systemów dowodzenia.
The paper deals with some problems of modelling, designing and integration of command support systems. In the focus of our attention are aspects of a telecommunication and information platform for integration of distributed command systems and data interchanging in heterogeneous simulation of combat simulation. Moreover there are described the methods of decision support in a planning process of operational tasks, the methods of creating and sharing a common operational picture (COP) of a battle space. Finally, there is presented case study of decision support system for support of automated command system (C4I) which has been put into practice in Polish Armed Forces. Conclusions deals with network centric aspects of decision support in command systems.

Modern agriculture foresees the implementation of a particular technological operation, according to the appropriate map-task, which is developed pre-based on diverse information. Knowledge of a certain structure of soil cover variability, obtained using information and technical systems of local operational monitoring of the agrobiological state of agricultural lands, allows us to adopt effective operational decisions for efficient management of agrobiological potential of agricultural lands. Obviously, under such conditions there is a need for fundamentally new approaches to agricultural production, which is to ensure the proper quality of technological operations. The quality of the implementation of technological operations is an integral indicator of the efficiency of production of agricultural products within the agrobiological field. The necessary quality of implementation of the basic technological processes in plant growing is provided by the integrated information and technical systems of operational monitoring of the agrobiological state of agricultural lands. This opens new prospects for organic farming using such smart agricultural machines. In connection with it the task is to obtain reliable data on the agrobiological state of the soil environment by reducing the error in determining the magnitude of the electrical conductive properties of the soil, providing individual stabilization of the working electrodes and the mechanism of lifting / lowering the working electrodes, copying inequalities of the soil environment, reducing the intensity of the destruction of the soil structure , selfcleaning of the working contact of the electrode and ensuring the stability of the electrical contact of the electrode with the soil, by instrument design perfection. The task is achieved by using the information and technical system of operational monitoring of the soil environment of the structure to determine the conductive characteristics of the soil environment. The purpose of the research is to determine the critical loading at the loss of stability by thin-walled working electrodes made in the form of working electrodes of various shapes (thin-walled solid, three-spit and four-spindle discs with different thickness of the rim). The information and technical system of localoperational monitoring of agrobiological state of soil environment of different configurations with one-side compression.

Knowledge of a certain structure of soil cover variability, obtained using information and technical systems of local operational monitoring of agro-biological state of agricultural lands, allows us to adopt effective operational decisions for efficient management of agro-biological potential of agricultural lands. Obviously, under such conditions, there is a need for fundamentally new approaches to agricultural production,which is to ensure the proper quality of technological operations. The quality of the implementation of technological operations is an integral indicator of the efficiency of production of agricultural products within the agro-biological field. The necessary quality of implementation of the basic technological processes in plant growing is provided by the integrated information and technical systems of operational monitoring of the agro-biological state of agricultural lands. In connection with this, the task is to obtain reliable data on the agro-biological state of the soil environment by reducing the error in determining the magnitude of the conductive properties of the soil, providing individual stabilization of the working electrodes and the mechanism of lifting / lowering working electrodes, copying inequalities of the soil environment, reducing the intensity of the destruction of the soil structure , self-cleaning of the working contact of the electrode and ensuring the stability of the electrical contact of the electrode with the soil, by instrument design perfection. The task is achieved by using the information and technical system of operational monitoring of the soil environment of the structure to determine the conductive characteristics of the soil environment.
