    W artykule zaprezentowano metodę bezkontaktowych pomiarów prędkości tłoczyska siłownika udarowego z wykorzystaniem szybkiej techniki rejestracji obrazu za pomocą kamery wizyjnej. Przeprowadzono badania siłowników w celu wyznaczenia charakterystyk prędkości tłoczyska w funkcji ciśnienia i objętości komory akumulatora. Przedstawiono wyniki badań w postaci zarejestrowanych charakterystyk.
    The article presents the method for contact-less measurement of the velocity of the piston of the impact cylinder with use technique of fast recording of images with use of vision camera. The research on the impact cylinder were performed for determination of the velocity characteristics of the piston as a function of air pressure and the volume of the accumulation chamber. The results are presented as the recorded characteristics.

    Opis:
    A novelty dual-stator brushless doubly-fed generator (DSBDFG) with magnetic-barrier rotor structure is put forward for application in wind power. Compared with a doubly-fed induction generator, the DSBDFG has virtues of high reliability and low maintenance costs because of elimination of brush and sliprings components. Therefore, the proposed structure has tremendous potential as a wind power generator to apply in wind power. According to the operating principle of electric machine, the DSBDFG is studied in wind power application. At first, the topology, the winding connecting, the rotor structure, the power flow chart of different operating models and the variable speed capability of electric machine are discussed and analyzed. Then, a 50 kW DSBDFG is designed. Based on the principal dimension of the design electric machine, the electromagnetic characteristics of the DSBDFG with different running modes are analyzed and calculated to adopt the numerical method. From the result, it meets the requests of electromagnetic consistency and winding connecting in the design electric machine. Meanwhile, it confirms the proposed DSBDFG has the strong ability of speed regulation.

    W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań wstępnych dotyczących opracowania charakterystyk prędkościowych obiektu badań w stanach pracy ustalonej. Obiektem badań były silniki napędu głównego fregaty typu Oliver Hazard Perry będącej na wyposażeniu Marynarki Wojennej RP. Badania wstępne przeprowadzono podczas wyjścia okrętu w morze, w warunkach siłowni okrętowej. Podczas badań silniki zostały poddane jednoczesnemu i równomiernemu obciążeniu. W celu umożliwienia porównywania charakterystyk eksploatacyjnych badanych silników, jak również odniesienia ich do różnych warunków atmosferycznych wyniki pomiarów, na podstawie których je wyznaczono, zredukowano do tzw. warunków atmosfery wzorcowej. Dla przedmiotowych charakterystyk, z wykorzystaniem analizy statystycznej, dokonano wyznaczenia zależności aproksymacyjnych.
    The paper presents the results of preliminary studies on the development the operational characteristics an object of research work in the states agreed. The object of the research are the main propulsion engines frigate type Oliver Hazard Perry which is supplied with the Polish Navy. Preliminary tests were carried out during the departure of the ship to sea in a ship’s engine room. During the test engines have been simultaneous and the balanced load. In order to allow comparison of operational characteristics of engines tested, as well as references to the various weather conditions, the results of measurements on which it was set, brought to so regulated by weather conditions. For these characteristics, using statistical analysis, were determined dependence of approximation.

    Purpose: Experimentally substantiate the possibility of using the developed jet-centrifugal spraying device in plants spraying technologies. Design/methodology/approach: Many years of experience in creating spraying devices for solving practical problems in various industries made it possible to propose a design diagram of a single-phase jet-centrifugal spraying device. The tests were aimed at achieving device characteristics that are acceptable for use in plants spraying technologies such as jet coverage distance, droplet size and droplet deposition area (spray diameter). For this a several tests series with different design parameters was done. Before testing, the tightness of the device body was checked (the holding time under a pressure of 1 MPa is not less than 2 minutes). Findings: Based on the obtained jet coverage distance, droplet size and droplet deposition area, the developed spray device of some modifications can be used in plants spraying technologies. However, it is necessary to determine the quality of the spray device according to the BCPC classification; the device should be tested with some insecticides, fungicides and in plants spraying technologies to develop recommendations for their use. Research limitations/implications: The influence of design features of developed jetcentrifugal spray device on the jet coverage distance, droplet size and droplet deposition area was studied. Practical implications: The results obtained are useful in the field of improving national plants spraying technologies in order to improve the quality of the plant protection agent application and reduce the loss of the drug into the environment. Originality/value: To ensure maximum efficiency the proposed design of the jetcentrifugal spray device can be upgraded directly by the farmer by installing interchangeable nozzles that are attached with a union nut. Replaceable nozzles have different diameters and modifications and can be selected depending on the required jet coverage distance and spraying dispersion according to the current environmental conditions.

    W pracy przedstawiono informacje dotyczące technologii wytwarzania i badania powłok przeciwzużyciowych nakładanych metodą elektroiskrową przed i po ich modyfikacji laserowej. Technologia ta jest przedmiotem systematycznych badań na Politechnice Świętokrzyskiej, której laboratoria wyposażone są w niezbędne urządzenia do wytwarzania i badania powłok nanoszonych elektroiskrowo oraz ich modyfikacji. Przedstawiono rezultaty obserwacji mikrostruktury powłok WC-Co naniesionych elektroiskrowo, przed i po obróbce laserowej, oraz wyniki pomiarów chropowatości i przyczepności, a także badań odporności korozyjnej powłok.
    The paper contains information on the manufacture and testing of spark protection coatings before and after laser modification. This technology is the subject of systematic research at the Kielce Technical University, whose laboratories are equipped with the necessary equipment for the production and testing of electro-sparking coatings and their modifications. The results of the observation of the microstructure of WC-Co coatings applied before and after laser processing, as well as the results of roughness and adhesion measurements and corrosion resistance tests of the coatings were presented.

    Opis:
    In this work we report the phase structures of the EL-Hard padding weld layers and their effect on their abrasive wear resistance. The application of light and electron scanning microscopy examinations revealed subtle differences in the structures of the padding welds which affect their strength and usable properties. Abrasive wear resistance tests utilizing a “spinning bowl” method performed in real soil masses and hardness tests showed a close relationship between the abrasive wear resistance values and chemical composition of the tested padding welds. The obtained results are explained by the presence of the carbide - forming elements such as B, Cr, Mo, Nb, V and W in the chemical composition and types of the carbide phases present in the structures of the EL-Hard padding welds.

    A comparative analysis of aviation diesel and gas turbine engines in the light passenger aircraft system was conducted. Aircraft operational characteristics were obtained with the help of developed modular software system „Integration-2.1". For the formation of 5-9 seater modifications of aircraft as a prototype was taken aircraft Diamond DA42 with the location of passengers without aisle, crew consisted of 1 person. For the formation of 10-20 sealer aircrafts modifications as prototypes were taken aircrafts EV-55 and L-410UVP, the crew consisted of 2 persons, was adopted the full completion of aircraft equipment, power plant consists of two engines was adopted. It shows the economic advisability of the aircraft gas turbine engines use for airplanes of local airlines (5-6 people). It was found that the life-cycle cost of the aircraft with more passengers become lower in modifications with gas turbine engines, therefore, the use of this type of engine is advisable for aircraft with greater passenger capacity. It was found that the main factors influencing the life-cycle cost of the aircraft, are the resource characteristics of the engine, the cost of its maintenance and repair, as well as the price of fuel.
    Przeprowadzono analizę porównawczą lotniczych silników diesla i silników turbinowych dla lekkich samolotów pasażerskich. Eksploatacyjne charakterystyki samolotu uzyskane przez rozwinięty modułowy system oprogramowania „Integracja-2.1". Do opracowania modyfikacij 5-9 miejscowych samolotów jako punkt wyjściowy wybrano samolot Diamond DA42 z kabiną pasażerską bez korytarza i jednoosobową załogą. Do opracowania 10-20 miejscowych modyfikacji samolotów jako punkty wyjścia wybrano-samoloty EV-55 i L-410UVP, z dwuosobową załogą, przyjęty przez pełny skład sprzętu lotniczego, punkt mocy składa się z dwóch silników. Wykazano wykonalność ekonomiczną wykorzystania lotniczych turbin gazowych dla samolotów miejscowych linii lotniczych (do 5-6 osób). Stwierdzono, że koszt cyklu życiowego samolotu z wielką ilością pasażerów staje się mniejsza u modyfikacji z turbiną gazową, więc, wykorzystanie tego typu silników jest wskazane na samolotach o większej liczbie miejsc pasażerskich. Stwierdzono, że głównymi czynnikami wpływającymi na koszt cyklu życia samolotu, są cechy silnika, koszt jego utrzymania i naprawy, a także ceny paliwa.

    This paper presents issues of fatigue life calculations in operational load conditions. The assumed runs were so processed as to get a set of sinusoidal cycles by using the following methods: full cycles counting method and rainflow counting method. On the basis of such sets of cycles of the varying parameters Sm i and Sa i were prepared block load spectra of equivalent amplitudes Saz , obtained with the use of an original method of these authors, in which two-parameter fatigue characteristics were applied. The work resulted in comparison of fatigue life results for load spectra determined by using the assumed cycles counting methods and the assumed two-parameter fatigue characteristics: the model IM, model II, model III and model IV, respectively.

    The paper presents a new, multi-criteria method which allows the numerical evaluation of the machining process in terms of efficiency, quality and costs. Three indicators were developed to assess the operational properties of grinding wheels. Their values are determined on the basis of the results of short grinding tests carried out on a special test stand. The evaluation of the proposed indicators is described. Furthermore, the application exemple of this method in determining the grinding wheel’s operational properties is presented. In the research, the vitrified alumina oxide grinding wheels were used for grinding of constructional and tool steels of various hardness. The results of the experiments show that the proposed indicators are an effective tool for assessing the process and results of grinding for a specific grinding wheel and material within certain tested grinding parameters range. The study also showed that the differences in indicators’ values, observed during tests of grinding specific material type using grinding wheels with different properties, are useful for optimizing the choice of tool type and machining conditions.
    W artykule przedstawiono nową, wielokryterialną metodę, w której grupa trzech wskaźników eksploatacyjnych, wyznaczonych na podstawie danych procesowych z krótkotrwałego testu pracy pary ściernica-przedmiot obrabiany przeprowadzonego na specjalnym stanowisku badawczym, pozwala na liczbowe wartościowanie procesu obróbki pod względem wydajności, jakości i kosztów. Przedstawiono wyniki badań ewaluacji zaproponowanych wskaźników oraz badania aplikacyjne metody w zakresie oceny właściwości eksploatacyjnych ściernic podczas szlifowania stali. W badaniach stosowano ceramiczne ściernice elektrokorundowe oraz stale narzędziowe i konstrukcyjne o różnej twardości. Wyniki doświadczeń wykazały, że zaproponowane formuły wskaźników są skutecznym narzędziem oceny przebiegu i wyników szlifowania dla określonej pary ściernica-materiał w badanym zakresie wartości nastawnych procesu szlifowania. Badania wykazały także, że różnice wartości wskaźników występujące podczas testów szlifowania określonego rodzaju materiału ściernicami o różnej charakterystyce, są przydatne do optymalizacji wyboru rodzaju narzędzia i warunków obróbki.
