Opis:: Poniższy artykuł przedstawia porównanie mechanizmów komunikacji i synchronizacji oferowanych w aplikacjach wielowątkowych oraz analogicznych rozwiązań opartych o komunikację międzyprocesową. Porównanie teoretyczne zestawiono z praktycznymi klasycznymi problemami synchronizacji. Porównano dostępność mechanizmów komunikacji i synchronizacji w bibliotece Boost i w komunikacji międzyprocesowej IPC. Przedstawiono subiektywną ocenę stopnia trudności implementacji i porównanie wydajności.
The following article presents a comparison of multithread and multiprocess communication and synchronization. The theoretical comparison was supported by the solutions of practical, classical synchronization problems. The availability of communication and synchronization mechanisms in the Boost library and in IPC interprocess communication was compared.A subjective assessment of the difficulty in implementation and applications performance was also presented.

Opis:: Computer systems supporting the management of machines operation and maintenance in companies have been successfully applied in many branches of industry. Over the last few years these systems have been considerably transformed. It also seems that using them for operating mining machines in hard coal mines is inevitable, as maintenance generates high production costs. If implemented, the systems will allow for optimization of stocks, spare parts and materials, supplies, outsourced services as well as maintenance-repair works. Application of a system supporting the management of mining machines/equipment will also enable a better, more effective use of employees. As a result of these actions, the time needed for preparations and repair will be shortened, which will translate directly into the economic effects of mines.

Opis:: We present 30 fs pulse duration home-made chirped pulse amplification Ti:sapphire laser system operating at a repetition rate of 1 kHz with 4.0 mJ pulse energy. The Ti:sapphire laser system with ım819 nm center wavelength has a long-cavity oscillator, four pass grating stretcher, 8-pass pre-amplifier, 4-pass post-amplifier and a double pass grating compressor. The Peltier coolers and thermal eigenmode post-amplifier are introduced to compensate the thermal lensing of the crystal in the amplifiers and to enhance the beam focusability on the crystal. The Strehl ratio and M² value measured by employing the Shack-Hartman wavefront sensor HASO4 to observe the spatial profile and beam quality. The most sensitive single-shot second harmonic generation frequency-resolved optical gating diagnostic technique is employed to characterize intensity and phase of the output compressed laser pulses.

Opis:: The aim of the article is to present the perspective of maintenance development in the context of the 4.0 industry concept. One of the factors that determine the safe and effective use of machines and devices is the properly maintained maintenance process. Correct performance of activities as part of this process requires the use of appropriate knowledge and experience from people implementing this process. Very important in this process is, above all, good organization of work and technical knowledge. The very rapid development of technology causes that teams dealing with the maintenance of traffic in enterprises must systematically acquire knowledge and optimize their activities. Effective exploitation of all types of devices is a set of rules, rules, procedures and actions, the main aspect of which is a human being. Knowledge resources should have appropriate substantive content adapted to the recipient. The article presents a modern solution supporting the maintenance process, taking into account the tools supporting the activities of human teams. The basic principles of maintenance in the enterprise covering machine monitoring systems, production management and management of information on the state of the machine park are discussed. There are also examples of the use of selected tools in the mining industry. Reference was also made to the prospects and directions of the development of maintenance in relation to the fourth industrial revolution.

Opis:: Ship large-power steam boiler may serve as an example of complex critical technical system. A basis for rational control of operation of such system is knowledge on its capability of fulfilling the tasks to which it was intended. In order to make it possible to apply computer aiding to operational decision-making the capability should be described analytically. In this paper it was proposed to express the capability of ship steam boiler ( considered a complex system) to perform service tasks, by calculating components of its usability potential in a given instant t. To this end , was distinguished a set of steam boiler fundamental features which formulate space of its technical states. Values and characteristic intervals of the features were defined and this way sub-spaces of serviceability and non-serviceability states of the object in question were determined. Next, in the considered space, technical state of the boiler and its usability potential was determined. Owing to this it become possible to quantitatively express the steam boiler functioning capability which served as a basis for elaborating an algorithm for controlling the operational processes of a complex technical system under action. In this paper is also described a way of application of the presented method to calculation of ship steam boiler usability potential, which may be especially instrumental in the case of operational control of the boilers of the kind , equipped with interstage reheaters, i.e. those operating with high values of operational parameters.
