Opis:: A convenient new tool for solving the problem of reliability and availability evaluation and optimization of complex technical systems is presented. Opis:: W artykule przedstawiono nowe praktyczne narzędzie do rozwiązania zagadnienia optymalizacji procesu eksploatacji i niezawodności złożonych systemów technicznych. Wykorzystano zintegrowany ogólny model niezawodności złożonych systemów technicznych w zmiennych warunkach eksploatacyjnych, łączący wielostanowe podejście do analizy niezawodności systemów z modelem semi-markowskim ich procesu eksploatacji. Ten łączny model oraz programowanie liniowe zaproponowane są jako narzędzie do optymalizacji procesów eksploatacji złożonych systemów technicznych skutkującej maksymalizacją średnich czasów przebywania systemów w podzbiorach stanów niezawodnościowych.
A convenient new tool for solving the problem of reliability and availability evaluation and optimisation of complex technical systems is presented. Linking a semi-Markov modelling of the system operation processes with a multi-state approach to system reliability analysis is proposed to construct the joint general model of the reliability of complex technical systems in variable operation conditions. This joint model and linear programming are proposed for complex technical systems for the optimisation and maximisation the system lifetimes in the reliability state subsets.

Opis:: There is presented the application of the integrated software tools to the operation and reliability of an exemplary complex technical system optimization. First using the computer program CP 8.9 there are determined the optimal limit transient probabilities of the exemplary system operation process at the particular operation states maximizing the system lifetime in the reliability states not worse than the critical reliability state and its optimal sojourn times at the particular operation states. Program CP 8.9 allows also for automatic evaluation of the exemplary system optimal unconditional multistate reliability function, the optimal expected values and standard deviations of its unconditional lifetimes in the reliability state subsets and the optimal mean values of its lifetimes in the particular reliability states. Moreover, in the case when the system is repairable, its optimal renewal and availability characteristics are obtained using the computer program CP 8.11.

Opis:: The integrated software tools are applied to the exemplary system operation cost analysis and maintenance optimization. Using the computer program CP 8.12 there is obtained the evaluation of the cost before and after the exemplary system operation process optimization and next the computer program CP 8.13 is applied for operation cost analysis of the improved exemplary system. The methods of corrective and preventive maintenance policy maximizing availability and minimizing renovation cost of the complex technical systems in variable operation conditions are illustrated for the analyzed exemplary system using equivalently the computer program CP 8.14 for maintenance policy maximizing system availability and CP 8.15 for minimizing system renovation cost.

Opis:: This paper presents the computer simulation technique related to the reliability of an object under variable operation conditions. The considered object operation process is modelled using semi-Markov processes and its reliability is analysed by application of the conditional reliability functions in its different operation states. The backgrounds and procedures of the Monte Carlo simulation method application to an object at variable condition reliability analysis are proposed and applied to reliability evaluation of an exemplary object. Consequently, under arbitrarily assumed the parameters of this exemplary object operation process and its conditional reliability functions, using the proposed Monte Carlo simulation procedures, the transient probabilities of the exemplary object operation process at the particular operation states and its unconditional reliability function are determined. Further, the linear programming is introduced and proposed to reliability optimization of an object at variable operation conditions and the optimal transient probabilities of the exemplary object operation process at the particular operation states and its optimal unconditional reliability function are determined. Finally, some practical suggestions on the modification of the exemplary object operation process improving its reliability are proposed.

Opis:: Modelling and prediction of the operation and reliability of technical multistate ageing systems related to their operation processes called complex systems are briefly presented and applied to prediction of the operation processes and reliability characteristics of an exemplary complex non-homogeneous system composed of a series-parallel and a series-“m out of l” subsystems linked in series, changing its reliability structure and its components reliability parameters at variable operation conditions. Further, the linear programming is proposed to the operation and reliability optimization of complex technical systems operating at variable operation conditions. The method consists in determining the optimal values of limit transient probabilities at the system operation states that maximize the system lifetimes in the reliability state subsets. The proposed method is practically applied to the operation and reliability optimization of the considered exemplary complex system.
