Opis:: Transport in human life has played a key role since ancient times. At the turn of years it has evolved, initially using only the power of human legs, then the animals until use internal combustion engines. The first internal combustion engine was presented by Brackenburow in 1836. The construction showed a very desirable type of combustion engine – burning a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen and expelling clean water as exhaust gas. However, the invention was abandoned due to its innovativeness and lack of trust in it. The topic was again taken in 1860 presenting a two-stroke engine using a mixture of natural gas and air with spark ignition. Striving for even greater perfection, Rudolf Diesel in 1893 presented and patented the first self-ignition diesel engine. The first solution, although used today, has shown that automotive engines leave a significant margin of reliability. The operational reliability of internal combustion engines is important in relation to the conditions of their operation and technical condition. The impact of toxic substances in exhaust gases and their impact on the natural environment these days is an important issue. One of the forms of work on the problem is the current diagnosis of engine operation. This was possible thanks to the use of the OBD I system, which was later transformed into OBD II / EOBD and the result of the test results obtained to the applicable EURO standards. The system allows testing during a road test in normal car operation. Using the OBD recorder, the operation of an example vehicle will be analysed in various operating conditions, and the obtained results will provide diagnostic possibilities.

Opis:: The paper reports on both the processes of harmful deposits formation in spark ignition engines and their threats related to engine operation. The connection of a dynamic development of piston engines and fuel injection systems with increasing problems of deposits formation on various engine parts has been discussed at length. The effect of fuel composition, engine design and its operating parameters on the formation of a variety of engine deposits has been described. Possible causes of deposits formation have also been indicated. The paper confirms great importance of modern deposit control detergents and state-of-the-art technology of manufacturing of injection systems components in counteracting this detrimental phenomenon.
W artykule omówiono procesy tworzenia szkodliwych osadów w tłokowych silnikach spalinowych ZI i zagrożenia, jakie one stwarzają podczas eksploatacji silników. Przedyskutowano powiązanie rozwoju silników tłokowych oraz układów wtrysku paliwa z narastającymi problemami powstawania osadów na różnych elementach silników. Opisano wpływ kompozycji paliwa, konstrukcji silnika i warunków jego eksploatacji na różne osady silnikowe. Wskazano możliwe przyczyny tworzenia osadów. Podkreślono ogromne znaczenie dodatków detergentowych, a także zmian w technologii wykonywania i obróbki elementów układów wtrysku paliwa w przeciwdziałaniu szkodliwym procesom tworzenia osadów.

Opis:: W pracy zaprezentowana została nowa metoda parametrycznej identyfikacji warunków eksploatacji pojazdu samochodowego. Warunki eksploatacji pojazdu identyfikowane będą za pomocą parametru, który obejmuje zarówno wpływ warunków zewnętrznych jak również styl jazdy kierowcy. Ilość energii mechanicznej przekazywanej kołom napędowym w czasie cyklu pomiarowego może wynikać w równym stopniu z zaistniałych warunków ruchu pojazdów, co ze stylu jazdy kierowcy. Z tego powodu, w zaproponowanej metodzie wspomniane czynniki są traktowane jako równoważne, a ich oddziaływanie na warunki eksploatacji pojazdu zostały ujęte w tym samym parametrze. Ostatecznie miejsce eksploatacji (intensywność ruchu) oraz sposób prowadzenia pojazdu mogą być natomiast opisane za pomocą funkcji gęstości rozkładu przyjętego parametru. Nowa metoda umożliwiająca parametryczną identyfikację warunków eksploatacji pojazdu samochodowego jest przedstawiona w artykule. Warunki eksploatacji pojazdu samochodowego zależą w równym stopniu od warunków ruchu pojazdów, jak również od stylu jazdy kierowcy. Warunki eksploatacji mogą być zarejestrowane w czasie normalnego użytkowania pojazdu. Zaproponowana metoda umożliwia wyznaczenie referencyjnego zużycia paliwa dla tych samych warunków eksploatacji. Artykuł prezentuje przykłady parametrycznej identyfikacji warunków eksploatacji pojazdu samochodowego.
A novel method of parametric estimation of vehicle operation conditions has been presented in this work. Car operating conditions will be identified using parameter, which contains impact of the traffic conditions as well as the style of driving. The factors mentioned above have influence on the amount of mechanical energy transferred to the driving wheels, which is part of this parameter. Amount of mechanical energy transferred to the driving wheels, during a measurement cycle, can result to the same degree from traffic conditions as well as the driving style. The factors proposed in the method are treated equivalently and their influence on car operating conditions has been included in the same parameter. Finally, the traffic and the style of driving can finally be described using a probability density function of this parameter. A novel method enabling parametrical identification of operation conditions of the car vehicle is represented in the article. Operational conditions of the car vehicle depend equally from conditions traffic of vehicles, as well as from the style ride of a driver. Operational conditions can be registered during normal use of the vehicle. Proposed method makes possible appointment of reference fuel consumption for the same operational conditions. The paper presents examples of the parametral identification of operational conditions of the car vehicle.
