    Opis:
    The article presents the results of empirical research on the role of trust in inter-organizational relations (IORs) and its outcomes. We questioned 210 Polish large and medium sized companies in different industries, experienced in IORs of different kind with Polish and foreign partners. We used a set of non-parametric analyses: Spearman correlation, mediation analyses with bootstrapping and structural equations modeling with RML (Robust Maximum Likelihood). Our findings confirm the statistically relevant correlations between the interpersonal trust of individuals and teams, the trust-building competence of organization and the outcomes of the cooperative relationships of companies. Additionally, the trust-building competence of organization serves as a mediator in the relations of interpersonal trust and IORs outcomes.     Opis:
    Fasola wielokwiatowa (Phaseolus coccineus L.) jest ważną rośliną strączkową uprawianą w Polsce na szeroką skalę. Roślina ta niestety jest atakowana przez wiele agrofagów, które obniżają jej wartość. Fasola jest głównie narażona na patogeny pochodzenia grzybowego zasiedlające glebę a także przenoszone z nasionami. W pracy przedstawiono wyniki doświadczenia polowego, w którym opryskiwano poletka fasoli trzema fungicydami. Oprysk przeprowadzono czterokrotnie w czasie okresu wegetacji. Do oprysku użyto dwóch rodzajów rozpylaczy płaskostrumieniowych, standartowych RS-MM 110 03 (Marian Mikołajczak) i eżektorowych ID 120 03 C (Lechler). Stwierdzono, że nanoszenie środków grzybobójczych z wykorzystaniem dwóch rodzajów rozpylaczy płaskostrumieniowych ma wpływ na skuteczność zabiegów ochrony roślin.
    Scarlet runner bean (Phaseolus coccineus L.) is an important leguminous plant grown in Poland on a large scale. Unfortunately, this plant is attacked by numerous agrophages, which decrease its value. Bean is mainly exposed to pathogens originating from fungi, which settle in soil or are transported with seeds. The paper presents results of a field experiment, in which bean plots were sprayed with three fungicides. The spray was carried out four times during vegetation period. Two types of fan atomizers were used for spraying: standard - RS-MM 110 03 (Marian Mikołajczak), and ejector - ID 120 03 C (Lechler). It was observed that fungicidal agents applied using two fan atomizer types affected effectiveness of plant protection operation.

    Opis:
    Research studies have discussed the correct selection and choice of the optimal units for a specific type of search and rescue task. This article has described the characteristics and properties of merchant vessels that determine their potential for SAR (Search and Rescue) operation. An attempt was made to estimate the suitability of a craft according to its effectiveness and risk. This research may have an impact on improving the organization and coordination of search and rescue operations at sea. The authors have proposed criteria for evaluating merchant units during selection for planned SAR actions. A model for evaluating the suitability of a unit has been presented. It is a mathematical model with elements of expert knowledge. The model classifies attributes, taking into account the lower and upper risk limits and introducing a risk sensitivity factor. The article contains tables and graphs.

    Opis:
    Development and implementation of various projects focused on improving standards of energy efficiency and rational use of energy carriers is a priority for numerous enterprises and companies. Modern shipping devotes sufficient attention to improving the environmental performance of the fleet. As part of the strategy to improve environmental safety and energy efficiency, as well as to reduce air and marine pollution in industries, including maritime transport and shipping, a set of steps to improve the ship's energy efficiency is being implemented. This process is carried out in various ways, however, at the same time maintaining the economic indicators of fleet operation. Relevant is the research aimed at analyzing the introduction of energy management systems in the maritime transport and summarizing the experience of operating the ships, which allows to identify a number of proposals, the implementation of which allows to maintain the economic efficiency of transportation. The article offers a review of the main energy efficiency tools and ways to ensure the transport efficiency of existing ships without modernization by operating them at reduced speeds and fuel consumption and thereby minimizing carbon emissions, as well as developing a set of measures to improve the environmental efficiency of cargo transportation.

    W rozdziale przedstawiono wyniki badań dotyczących awaryjności kluczowych maszyn w wybranym przedsiębiorstwie produkującym rury preizolowane na potrzeby przemysłu ciepłowniczego. Analizy awaryjności dokonano przy pomocy wskaźników dostępności, efektywności i skuteczności w oparciu o miary niezawodności, takie jak MTTR, MTBF, MDT. Analizie poddano dwie maszyny oraz ich układy: mechaniczny i elektryczny na przestrzeni ostatnich trzech lat. Badania pozwoliły określić, które maszyny najczęściej ulegają awarii, jakie układy są najbardziej awaryjne i jaki jest czas usuwania uszkodzeń. Wyniki badań pozwoliły zidentyfikować słabe strony w procesie utrzymania ruchu oraz sformułować zalecenia działań doskonalących ten proces
    In this chapter, the results of investigations into the failure rate of crucial machines in a selected enterprise manufacturing pre-insulated pipes for the needs of the heat generating industry have been presented. The failure rate analysis has been conducted using the indices of availability, effectiveness and efficacy, on the basis of reliability measures, such as MTTR, MTBF, MDT. The functioning of two machines and their systems: mechanical and electrical over a period of three last years was subjected to analysis. The investigations allowed determining in which machines failures occur the most frequently, which systems are the most likely to break down and what the time of failure removal is. The research results enabled identifying weak points in the maintenance process and made it possible to formulate some recommendations for this process improvement.

    W turbulentnym otoczeniu konieczne jest stałe dokonywanie zmian w systemie zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem w celu dostosowania metod zarządzania do tych zmian. Dotyczy to także zmian w metodach zarządzania eksploatacją środków trwałych. W oparciu o doświadczenia japońskie i amerykańskie ukształtowała się teoria obsługiwania od obsługiwania prewencyjnego do "najlepszych praktyk" w ramach koncepcji biznesowej strategii zarządzania eksploatacją.
    In turbulent environment it is necessary permanently to make changes in enterprise management system in order to adjust methods to the changes, what also causes changes in asset operation management. Based on Japanese and American experiences it was formed maintenance theory - from preventive maintenance to "best practices" - within the framework of business concept of operation management strategy.

    Modern organizations commonly use the strategy of a learning organization, and therefore operate with not only material resources, but also information resources. The collected data resources become the basis for generating business and management information. This database is maintained on various platforms using integrated BI (Business Intelligence) systems enabling knowledge to be generated through the data-mining mechanisms embedded in the artificial intelligence models. In this article, the authors focus on AI (Artificial Intelligence) models and systems based on ANN's (Artificial Neural Networks) and fuzzy set theory, which can be useful in solutions dedicated to supporting the complex management of modern organisations, and in particular the support of active functions (forecasting, planning and monitoring activities, as well as risk analysis and system effectiveness).
