    Tworzące treść artykułu zagadnienia spotykają się w inspirowanej myślą Heideggera hermeneutycznej interpretacji komplementarności problematyki „Dasein człowieka” z problematyką „Autoprzekazu Boga”. Zainteresowanie tą komplementarnością jest, w istocie rzeczy, zainteresowaniem możliwością poznania i realizacji tożsamości człowieka. Rozumowania artykułu dzielą się na dwie zasadnicze części: Wprowadzenie i Rozwinięcie. Pierwsza część zapowiada syntetycznie problematykę antropo-logicznej nierozłączności relacji „Dasein człowieka”–„Autoprzekaz Boga”. Druga część rozwija aspektowo interpretację historycznego procesu tej relacji: Dasein–Sein; Dasein–Nihilizm; objawione Autoprzekazem wyjaśnienie tożsamości człowieka itd. Istotą historycznej genezy tożsamości człowieka jest chrystologiczne jednoczenie ludzi „na obraz” trynitarnej Wspólnoty Miłości. Stwórczo-zbawczy proces antropogenezy jest więc procesem eklezjogenezy, co powinna mieć na uwadze definicja współczesnej globalizacji.
    The issues of the article bring together, inspired by Heidegger's hermeneutical interpretation of complementarity, problematic aspects of human Dasein with issues of God's auto-transference. Interest in this complementarity is at its core an interest in the possibility of cognition and realisation of human identity. The article's analysis is divided into two fundamental parts: introduction and development. The first part introduces in a synthetic way problems of anthropological inseparableness of the relation “Dasein of human–God's auto-transference”. The second part develops an interpretation of the historical process of that relation (Dasein–Sein; Dasein–Nihilism) revealed through the auto-transference explanation of human identity. The essence of the historical genesis of human identity is Christological unification of people according to the pattern of the Trinitarian Community of Love. In that light, the creative-salvative process of anthropogenesis can be identified with a process of ecclesiogenesis. This should be acknowledged in the definition of contemporary globalisation.

    Schellenberg’s argument from hiddenness of God resorts to many presuppositions and puts forward many categories of grand philosophical importance and of formidable tradition among which there are both the ones which explicitly refer to the concept of God and the ones which are related to finite personal beings. What is subsumable under the latter category is the ones of faith, guilt, resistance as well as the one of a child etc. The former categories embrace, first and foremost, the one of love, openness, hiddenness and existence. The purpose of the present paper is not a head-on polemics with Schellenberg’s argument. Rather, what is at stake is to follow Schellenberg’s argumentation and illuminate its sense and the possibility of applying in philosophico-theological considerations these above-mentioned fundamental categories. The means to this end is a phenomenological description of hiddenness, openness and existence. The obtained results are of positive nature. Namely, they indicate in which sense the said categories are justified while philosophizing over God and in which sense they are not. It is only via the results obtained due to the phenomenological scrutiny over openness, hiddenness and existence that it becomes clear to what extent Schellenberg’s argument is founded upon solid grounds, the measure of which is not, after all, the arbitrariness of adopted hypothesis or the formal coherence of argumentation, but rather – keeping as close to reality as possible. It is only at this point; that is, on the fringes of the reflection supported by phenomenological insights, that the ways of critical assessment of Schellenberg’s conception become available.

    Is man capax Dei? Zofia J. Zdybicka answers this question drawing on the entire tradition of classical philosophy which culminates in St. Thomas Aquinas. She considers the problem from the perspective of: (1) man who transcends the precariousness of human nature by his specific capabilities (intellectual knowing, loving, ability to freedom and religion); (2) faculties of the human soul (reason and will) which condition man’s disposition to knowing and loving God; (3) the metaphisical necessity for God to exist as the Supreme Truth and Good. The article concludes with threefold thesis. First, man is capax Dei because—within his capabilities which make him go beyond the entire world of beings (cosmos)—he is open to the Supreme Truth and Supreme Good. Secondly, man is capax Dei because—through his soul’s faculties fittingly developed (recta ratio and recta voluntas)—he can succeed in cognizing and loving God. Thirdly, man is capax Dei because God (the Supreme Truth and Good)—as proven by St. Thomas Aquinas in his Forth Way in particular—really exists.

    The paper defends a compatibilist solution to the problem of the relationship between divine and human freedom. It is argued that the asymmetry of ability constituted by our ability to foreknowledge influence the future and our inability to control the past results from the asymmetry of openness between fixed past and open future interpreted in terms of the asymmetry of counterfactual dependence. Therefore, if the asymmetry of openness is not true of some types of facts, then we may be able to control them even if they are facts about the past. It turns out that widely shared accounts of the nature and source of God’s foreknowledge entail that the asymmetry of openness does not apply to God’s past beliefs about future contingencies. Thus, it is unjustified to claim that we are unable to now do anything such that, if we were to do it, God’s past beliefs would have been different.
    Artykuł poświęcony jest kompatybilistycznemu rozwiązaniu problemu relacji między Boską przedwiedzą a ludzką wolnością. W tekście argumentuje się, że asymetria polegająca na naszej zdolności do wypływu na przyszłość i braku analogicznej zdolności do kontroli przeszłości jest rezultatem asymetrii otwartości między przyszłością a przeszłością interpretowanej w kategoriach asymetrii kontrfaktycznej zależności. W konsekwencji, jeśli asymetria otwartości nie stosuje się do pewnych typów faktów, wówczas możemy posiadać zdolność do kontroli tych faktów, nawet jeśli są to fakty dotyczące przeszłości. Okazuje się, że z najbardziej rozpowszechnionych ujęć natury i genezy Boskiej przedwiedzy wynika, iż asymetria otwartości nie stosuje się do posiadanych przez Boga w przeszłości przekonań na temat przygodnych zdarzeń przyszłych. Zatem nieuzasadnionym pozostaje twierdzenie, że jesteśmy pozbawieni zdolności do uczynienia teraz czegoś takiego, że jeśli byśmy to zrobili, to Boskie przekonania byłyby w przeszłości inne niż były.

    In his deliberations John Paul II, taking under consideration the description of creation of man, takes up the important issue of man's loneliness. The problem has an anthropological character. It is Yahweh who recognized that the first human being (a man) is lonely despite his very close relation with the Creator. This is why God brought into being another human being (a woman). The man then sang a song of admiration of the woman. However, creating a woman did not change the situation that God considered wrong for mankind. The Pope points to man's unconquerable, ontological loneliness resulting from the person's subsistence and subjectivity. The loneliness contains a hidden message. The first married couple mutually complementing each other by strength of the specific mystery of the human being's unity and the duality of the sex comes to their common fall. This event reveals the weakness of human reference that is based on ontic loneliness and contingency of man. An imperfect creature cannot give perfect support to God's image that is craving for perfection. Appearance of another human being, awakening the feeling of gratitude for the gift of her, and at the same time of disappointment with insufficiency of this gift, leads by the way of history of salvation and revelation towards recognizing the final rest and happiness only in God. As a consequence, inter-human loves appear to be a real panacea for personal loneliness, however, not „in itself” but they doubtless point to Absolute Love, that is to God as the only fulfillment of man's longings.

    The paper refers to the argument from hiddenness as presented in John Schellenberg’s book The Hiddenness Argument and the philosophical views expressed there, making this argument understandable. It is argued that conditionals (1) and (2) are not adequately grounded. Schellenberg has not shown that we have the knowledge necessary to accept the premises as true. His justifications referring to relations between people raise doubts. The paper includes an argument that Schellenberg should substantiate its key claim that God has the resources to accommodate the possible consequences of openness to a relationship with finite persons, making them compatible with the flourishing of all concerned and of any relationship that may come to exist between them. At the end of the text, I propose to treat the argument as a rejection of an anthropomorphic God.
    Argument z ukrycia i podstawa jego trafności Artykuł odwołuje się do argumentu z ukrycia przedstawionego w książce J. L. Schellenberga The Hiddenness Argument i wyrażanych tam poglądów filozoficznych, które stanowią kontekst dla zrozumienia tego argumentu. Twierdzi się tu, że przesłanki (1) i (2) argumentu nie są odpowiednio uzasadnione. Schellenberg nie wykazał, że posiadamy wiedzę niezbędną do uznania tych przesłanek za prawdziwe. Wątpliwości budzą jego uzasadnienia odnoszące się do relacji między ludźmi. Artykuł zawiera argument, że Schellenberg powinien uzasadnić swoje kluczowe twierdzenie, że Bóg dysponuje zasobami, aby pogodzić możliwe konsekwencje otwartości na relację z ograniczonymi osobami, czyniąc je kompatybilnymi z rozkwitem wszystkich zainteresowanych i wszelkich relacji, które mogą zaistnieć między nimi. Na końcu tekstu proponuję potraktować ten argument jako odrzucenie idei antropomorficznego Boga.
