Opis:
This article covers the methodology of geochemical analysis, interpretation of results and solution that was proposed to abandon a depleted oil reservoir Polana Ostre, Poland. Polana Ostre as a reservoir was discovered in the 19th century and in 1870 the main facilities were built. Several dozens of wells were drilled and their depth varies between 60–497 m. Furthermore, on the field many hand‑drilled wells are located. Oil was produced through the 60 years with breaks. After the 2nd World War the facility was suddenly discarded due to political and economic reasons. As a result of inadequate operation, oil leakages can be observed. It causes an environmental pollution and a serious hazard. The remains were recognized and documented. A series of geochemical measurements were taken to indicate gas concentrations throughout the field. An analysis of the results showed significant concentrations of hydrocarbons in the soil. In order to mitigate the threat, a proper plug and abandonment operation of the deepest well was designed. Project executors hope to attract the attention of industry and academia to the problems depleted reservoirs that were not correctly abandoned.

Opis:
In order for the working status of the aluminum alloyed hydraulic valve body to be controlled in actual conditions, a new friction and wear design device was designed for the cast iron and aluminum alloyed valve bodies comparison under the same conditions. The results displayed that: (1) The oil leakage of the aluminum alloyed hydraulic valve body was higher than the corresponding oil leakage of the iron body during the initial running stage. Besides during a later running stage, the oil leakage of the aluminum alloyed body was lower than corresponding oil leakage of the iron body; (2) The actual oil leakage of different materials consisted of two parts: the foundation leakage that was the leakage of the valve without wear and wear leakage that was caused by the worn valve body; (3) The aluminum alloyed valve could rely on the dust filling furrow and melting mechanism that led the body surface to retain dynamic balance, resulting in the valve leakage preservation at a low level. The aluminum alloy modified valve body can meet the requirements of hydraulic leakage under pressure, possibly constituting this alloy suitable for hydraulic valve body manufacturing.

Opis:
A smart solution for assessing the consequences of pollution on the coast, on flora and fauna but also by accounting for the total costs of the equipment used in the response to pollution is a system for assessing, coordinating and simulating the risk situation with the help of a mathematical model implemented on a simulator. The mathematical model for the simulation of the event of pollution is the latest generation and take into account all the meteorological factors of the sea and air, as well as all the physico-chemical parameters of the substances involved (dispersion, surface tension). The simulator is used for the realistic modeling of a crisis situation and it is useful for both marine officers and emergency situation officials. The simulator will be used as an educational instrument enabling the interactive study of the different emergency situations. In this paper we present the simulation of incident and the creation of response resources. The scenario incident is for KAPTAN M cruise ship that left the tourist port of TOMIS Constanta, Romania, having on board 20 passengers and a number of 15 crew members, and which collided with the oil ship EVIA Oil FIVE, having on board the quantity of 4200 MT crude oil. As a result of the collision, the passenger ship suffered a breach (water hole), on the starboard board, breach by which the ship began to ambarce sea water and in the car compartment a fire was produced. Containment and recovery of an oil spill during the exercise will be simulated through activation and control of response resources. The resources involved in the operations are divided into: platforms, equipment and personnel. The results of simulation is the list of response resources specified in the scenario together with their parameters, which can be exported into a text file. With this simulation tools you can efficiently appreciate the cost of resources in due time, avoiding material and human damage.
