    Opis:
    The present paper concerns the status of the literary variety of the Czech language (the so called spisovná čeština) with the system of the Czech language, with a particular focus on spoken language and literature. As a result of the constant eradication of Czech literary language (spisovná čeština) from the spoken language of Czech users, the process of its becoming stylistically marked has been noticeable for some time. It is, therefore, no longer a neutral variety of language in literary texts – this function is being taken over (as much as in the spoken language) by the colloquial variety of the language, i.e. obecná čeština.

    its functions in creating texts
    Opis:
    The article deals with generał problems conceming specific means of expression from the diachronic point of view, using Common Czech (obecna ćeStina) as an example. It is especially emphasized that during the analysis a complex approach is of particular impor- tance, morę than from the synchronic point of view, also with regard to stylistic examina- tions. When scholars focusing on this particular discipline choose their theoretical background, they should also take into consideration concepts and definitions of Common Czech from both linguistic and sociolinguistic points of view in various periods. They should also choose only relevant means of expression, with sufficient frequency. Furthermore, they need to find texts the stylistic norm of which provides an opportunity to use Common Czech, to some extent or fully (today as well as in the past). Ali these aspects are significant, although their hierarchy may be varied; using identical materiał, it is thus possible to arrive at different generalizations.

    Artykuł prezentuje językowe sposoby osiągania efektu komicznego przez Milo- slava Švandrlíka w powieści humorystycznej Černí baroni. Są to m.in. łączenie elementów z różnych odmian języka czeskiego (spisovná čeština, obecná čeština, gwary) lub czeszczyzny i języka słowackiego, wprowadzanie wulgaryzmów, słownictwa skatologicznego i inwektyw do języka propagandy totalitarnej, kontrast formy i treści,  paralelizm składniowy. Podkreślone zostają istotne funkcje społeczne śmiechu jako reakcji na humor szczególnie w trudnym czasie życia społecznego, jakim był okres komunistyczny, np.: terapeutyczna, integracyjna i separująca.
    The article presents linguistic methods of achieving a comic effect in the hu- morous novel Černí baroni by M. Švandrlík. These include inter alia: combining elements from various varieties of the Czech language (spisovná čeština, obecná čeština, dialect) or Czech and Slovak language, introducing vulgarisms, skatological vocabulary and invectives into the language of totalitarian propaganda, contrast of form and content and syntactic parallelism. The important social functions of laughter are emphasized as a reaction to humor, especially during a difficult time of social life, which was the communist period, e.g. therapeutic, integrative and separating.

    Článek se zabývá hovorovými spisovnými projevy v médiích teoreticky. Uvádí příklady hovorových spisovných prostředků na jednotlivých rovinách jazykového systému. Obecně se popisuje produkce hovorových spisovných textů, kdy se protíná přirozenost a odpovědnost mluvčího. Konkrétně se charakterizuje tato produkce v složité komunikační situaci mluvených médií. „Dobré řečové vzory”, které jsou potřebné s obnovením společenských elit po roce 1989, jsou v médiích důležité pro nejširší vrstvy obyvatelstva a měly by být častěji než dnes předmětem lingvistického výzkumu.
    The article deals theoretically with colloquial standard discourses in media. It adduces examples of colloquial standard means on the individual levels of the language system. The production of colloquial standard texts, in which naturalness together with responsibility of the speaker play an important role, is generally described. This production is characterised in a complicated situation of spoken media. „Good speech models”, necessary after restoration of social elites after 1989, are important in media for the broad strata of population and should become a subject of linguistic research more often.
