Opis:
A novel method for optical generation of ultra-wideband signals with a reconfigurable spectral notch-band is proposed. In the proposed system, ultra-wideband signals are generated in the optical domain and an optical tunable delay line is deployed to introduce a notch-band to the spectral profile of the generated ultra-wideband signals, which can effectively avoid the signal interference between ultra-wideband signals and pre-planned narrowband wireless signals used in wireless local area networks (WLAN). A theoretical model describing the proposed system is derived; the optical generation and fiber transmission of ultra-wideband signals with a reconfigurable notch-band are demonstrated via computer simulations.

Opis:
This paper presents how machine learning techniques may be applied in the process of designing a compact dual-band H-shaped rectangular microstrip antenna (RMSA) operating in 0.75–2.20 GHz and 3.0–3.44 GHz frequency ranges. In the design process, the same dimensions of upper and lower notches are incorporated, with the centered position right in the middle. Notch length and width are verified for investigating the antenna. An artificial neural network (ANN) model is developed from the simulated dataset, and is used for shape prediction. The same dataset is used to create a mathematical model as well. The predicted outcome is compared and it is determined that the model relying on ANN offers better results.

Opis:
In this paper, a conventional mushroom-type EBG unit cell is made compact by etching a C-slot at its conducting surface. Further, the C-slotted mushroom-type EBG unit cell is coupled with a microstrip line using a novel groove-coupling technique to design a notch filter. The arrangement has achieved in the reduction of the electrical size of the mushroom type EBG unit cell by 46.15% and create a stop band suppression of -12 dB. The proposed EBG is applied to notch a narrow band centered at 5.2 GHz along with an ultra-wideband antenna. The far field gain of the antenna is suppressed by -5.8 dBi along the direction of its major lobe at 5.2 GHz. The overall size of the antenna system is 19 x 27 x 1.6 mm³ which is compact. The performance of the antenna is validated from the simulation and measured results.

Opis:
In this paper a band notch characteristics reconfigurable UWB leaf shape monopole antenna is reported. The proposed antenna size is 42×32×1.6 mm³ and simulated S11-10dB impedance bandwidth is from 2.1 to 13.0 GHz. The notch bands are embodied into the designed antenna to suppress Bluetooth and WiFi bands from 2.3-2.7 GHz and 4.6-5.3 GHz. The PIN Diode is loaded to slot on the DGS to achieve notch bands. It has 4.48dB and 1.7dB gain achieved when diode ON and OFF condition. Further, it encompasses a bio-inspired leaf shape patch having high feasibility for deployment in secret and military purposes.

Opis:
In this paper, a CPW-fed monopole antenna for ultra wideband (UWB) applications using band-notch characteristics with size of (24×24×1.6 mm³ ) is presented. The antenna is designed for operation across the entire UWB from 3.1 to 10.6 GHz with band-notch in 5-6 GHz, by inserting an H-shaped slot on the CPW staircase feed line. The proposed antenna has a reflection coefficient below -10 dB through the frequency band. Also, reasonable gain values and good radiation pattern over the same frequency band have been observed. Details of the proposed antenna and experimental results are discussed and parametric study is presented.
