    In this article I argue that Scandinavian literature in the last 25 years is characterized by an exploration of postmodern conditions for identity construction. My point of departure is that the posttraditional society of late modernity can be described as a community experiencing deep unrest in the two ”nests” which provided most people with feelings of belonging and security in the traditional modern epoch, i.e. the nuclear family and the nation. I analyze two Norwegian novels, Jan Kjærstads´ Forføreren (1993) and Dag Solstads´ Armand V. Fotnoter til en uutgravd roman (2006), as examples of how postnational and cosmopolitan constellations influence both our individual lives and our collectively imagined communities. I focus on what I call click and dragnationalism, XL-nationalism, the one-man-nation and postnational war.

    Artykuł przedstawia propozycję interpretacyjną czwartego tomu autobiograficznego cyklu powieściowego Karla Ove Knausgårda Moja walka. Powieść dostarcza interesującego materiału badawczego pod względem zobrazowanego w utworze problemu tożsamościowego i nienormatywnego pożądania związanego z erotyczną transgresją, która nie powinna zaistnieć z powodów etycznych (pożądanie względem nieletniej uczennicy). Metodologia wykorzystana w artykule sytuuje się na granicy dociekań psychoanalitycznych, teorii gender i poetyki queer.
    The article attempts interpretation of the fourth volume the autobiographical cycle My Struggle by Karl Ove Knausgård. The novel provides interesting research material in terms of the identity problem and non-normative desire associated with erotic transgressions that should not be present for ethical reasons (lust for a minor schoolgirl). Methodology used in the article it is located on the border of psychoanalytic investigations, gender theories and queer poets.

    Celem niniejszego tekstu jest przedstawienie roli autora tekstu oryginalnego jako aktanta w procesie przekładu współczesnej literatury norweskiej na język polski. Obierając za punkt wyjścia teorię sieci-aktora oraz doświadczenia z własnej pracy tłumacza, prezentuję charakterystykę różnego rodzaju interakcji pomiędzy autorem a tłumaczem, osadzając te interakcje w kontekście specyficznych uwarunkowań norweskiego rynku wydawniczego, który, z uwagi na wysoki stopień zintegrowania, interakcje takie stymuluje i do nich zachęca. Podejmuję refleksję nad rolą autora w procesie przekładu, prezentując trzy kategorie – „poziomy” współpracy pomiędzy autorem a tłumaczem, przedstawiając przy tym studia przypadku – procesy powstawania przygotowywanych przeze mnie przekładów.
    The aim of this paper is to present the role of the original text’s author as an actor in the process of translating modern Norwegian literature into Polish. Basing on the actor-network theory (ANT) and experience from my own work as a literary translator, I present the features of different types of interaction between the author and the translator, placing those interactions in the context of the specific conditions of the Norwegian book market that, because of its high level of integration, stimulates and encourages such interactions. I reflect upon the role of the author in the translation process presenting three categories – so-called “levels” of author-translator collaboration, conducting case studies of the translation processesI myself have been involved in.

    The paper gives an analysis of three functions of the protagonist’s wandering in the essayistic novel Gå. Eller kunsten å leveet vilt og poetisk liv (2006, Walk. Or the art of living a wild and poetic life) by the Norwegian author Tomas Espedal. The analysis is inspired by the interpretation of the novel by Finn Tveito (2010) and focuses primarily on wandering in urban space, in and around the cities of Bergen and Paris. The functions identified in the paper are: (city) wandering defined as a search of a metaphorical home, as acting realised on two different levels, and as a way to accept the protagonist's role as a writer. Apart from this, the paper is an attempt to portray the wanderer's identity as a postmodern man and an artist.

    This paper aims to present Norwegian experimental literature in the 1960s with respect to the profilister’s literary orientation and to the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity). It begins with a presentation of the Norwegian literary context, the accent being placed on Profil and the new generation of young Norwegian writers who formed both the Literary Circle Profil and founded the literary magazine of the same name. The first section of the paper entitled “Norwegian Literature in the 1960s and the ‘Profilister’ Vold and Solstad” is an introduction to a newly formed literary sphere which includes not only experimental poems and fiction but also critical essays and book reviews. To present the new ideas of these young writers, we have used appropriate theoretical articles selected from Profil regarding Norwegian fiction, the role of the writer in society, and Norwegian Modernism of the 1960s. A new type of Norwegian literature is also characterized by the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity) introduced to Norway by Jan Erik Vold’s experimental poems. The two following sections approach the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity) from two different literary perspectives: as they are reflected in Dag Solstad’s collection of short stories entitled Svingstol (Swivel Chair; 1967) and Jan Erik Vold’s volume of prose poems BusteR brenneR (1976). In addition, the article outlines the concept of nyenkelhet (new simplicity) as it is presented by the Norwegian writer Dag Solstad in the article “Tingene og verden” (Things and the World), published in Profil in 1967.

    This paper aims to explore how Norwegian picturebooks published in Poland in the years 2008-2018 are presented in publishers' blurbs and adult readers' online reviews. The study is grounded in Scandinavian theory of literature mediation and it makes particular use of the concept of public epitexts. Drawing on research on contemporary Scandinavian picturebooks, the paper identifies the most frequently highlighted aspects of the works discussed in the analysed text corpus. Based on this, the author distinguishes between two strategies of book selection represented among the Polish publishers and attempts to map out an image of the Norwegian picturebooks in the Polish adult audience.
