Opis:: We present some sufficient conditions for the existence of positive solutions to a third order differential equation subject to nonlocal boundary conditions. Our approach is based on the Krasnosel’skiĭ-Guo fixed point theorem in cones and the properties of the Green’s function corresponding to the BVP under study. The main results are illustrated by suitable examples.

Opis:: We investigate the behaviour of weak solutions to the nonlocal Robin problem for linear elliptic divergence second order equations in a neighbourhood of the boundary corner point. We find the exponent of the solution decreasing rate under the assumption that the leading coefficients of the equations do not satisfy the Dini-continuity condition.
